Excel Electric

I called Excel when I was in a pinch - I called them at noon, desperate for some electrical work to be done that day, and they made it happen. They moved their guys around on other jobs and were able to have someone at my house in less than 2 hours. I have used them on 2 different occasions - Brian, the electrician both times, was professional and polite, competent and efficient. You can't ask for much more. I think their hourly rate is a little pricey compared to other electricians, but that is the only drawback I can think of.

From the moment I phoned Excel immediate checked on his staff in the field and was able to get an electrician out to us within the half hour! This was the fastest service call we had received. They came out as promised, immediately figured out a solution for our electrical needs and was able to work and fix our issues in the same day! We were beyond pleased! Great support from start to finish! Be sure you are in good hands with Excel Electric! I had contacted another electrical company with higher reviews previous to calling Excel and they couldn't get out for an estimate for a full week so I took a chance and so glad I did. I just purchased a newly constructed home and learned (AFTER escrow closed ) that the builder did not provide a 220V outlet in the laundry room. I searched Angie's List and called three highly rated electricians. One was unavailable, another was available at an estimated cost of $1000 (and wanted to charge a service call to give me an estimate) and then there was Excel. Fobbie answered the phone immediately, listened to my plight and Tom, the owner of Excel, called me back shortly thereafter. He quoted me a rate of $125 for the first hour, $95 for every hour thereafter and $100 for parts. He explained that the job would depend on whether or not the builder had provided a conduit from the breaker panel for "future electrical needs". Unfortunately, my builder placed the electrical panel on the outside of a stucco wall where the attic is at it's lowest point. Tom immediately sent two electricians to my home who not only installed the 220V outlet in my laundry room (which was as far from the breaker panel as possible), but they also installed another line (not connected to a breaker) so it's ready to go for future use should I need it. All this without making a single hole in any wall. They were very quick, polite, clean and efficient. I will continue to use Excel for all of my future electrical needs and would highly recommend you do the same! GREAT JOB!

When I called to make my appointment I spoke with the owner Mr. Kiernan. He was cordial, very informative and gave me a quote on the repairs right then and there. He scheduled his service man to arrive between 3 - 5 pm. The service tech arrive at 3:00 and after explaining my problem to him he went to work and corrected the problems. He then checked out other areas of my residence and found no other problems which I appreciated since I no nothing about electrical. Would I hire them again - yes without hesitation. I found the serviceman friendly, efficient and honest. As I said before when he was finished with my requested repairs and proceeded to check out the residence he probably could have told me everything was wrong but he didn't and I appreciate that kind of professionalism.

They were responsive, professional and provided follow up. Great customer service!

Initially contacted Tom the week of 9 October. We sent follow-up emails up to 16 October. Tom came to see the job on 31 October and indicated that he would provide us an estimate during the following week. We called 3 times following that visit to find out the status of his estimate. We never saw or heard from him again.

Tom was very friendly when I called and had someone at my house that day. I got the bid from a nice employee named Josh who gave me a written estimate that day. I called and scheduled the work and they were able to do it within the week. Josh came back to do the work he was nice, considerate of my home and cleaned up after the work was complete. I will use excel on my future electrical work.

I received a project quote over the phone from Tom, although final pricing was time/material, and scheduled the work. Bryan was on time, prepared the job sites and started work. There were several installations that required new electric cables to be pulled. Bryan was very careful to find ways to minimize the number of holes to be cut into drywall or into our wood entertainment system. He had good ideas on the placement of items, such as pendant heights, and carefully lined up things. For example, he lined up a picture light switch with the bottom edge of the artwork and the new island pendants with existing can lights. He was thorough and professional and cleaned up the work site before he left. We asked for him to come back to do some additional work and he was able to come back the next day. We are very pleased with the service we received and will definitely call Excel Electric back if we need additional work done.

He was able to find an alternate way of doing the work without any destruction to my backsplash. He saved me thousands of dollars. He replied to all my emails promptly and was a true professional.

We recently moved into a new residence and needed some miscellaneous electrical items done. Excel Electric arrived as scheduled and completed the work in a very professional manner for a reasonable price. Good job!

They were professional from the start to finish. They came on time and the entire job took less than an hour. Excellent! Customer service was A+. They also followed up later to check on how everything was working.

I have been very happy with Tom and Excel Electric. The service was excellent and was completed ahead of schedule. I emailed the company late Sunday night, and on Monday morning Tom called me. I explained to Tom I had tenants in this condo, and time was of the essence. The work was scheduled for that afternoon between 1-3. I was extremely happy to find a contractor who returns calls promptly, with a nice attitude, and got the job done immediately. Now, that's service! I am very happy.

Electrician came on time to look over job and provide estimate. Work was scheduled for 2 days later. Electrician and assistant arrived on time and completed the work as promised in a timely manner. All of the work was tested before the job was reported as complete.

Mike arrived as scheduled and found the multiple problems with my landscape lighting. He was fast, thorough, efficient and professional. My lights are now working!!! I will definitely use them again when I need an electrician. Highly recommend!

While Mike arrived a few minutes past the two-hour window we were given, he made up for it by doing the work quickly and professionally. He was very courteous and cleaned up and took away unneeded materials when he had completed the job. The new fixtures are working well and are brighter than the old ones. I had negotiated a firm bid price based on 1.5 hours. Although the work was performed within an hour, I was happy with the price because it was still lower than a quote I had gotten from another firm affiliated with the store where I purchased the materials.

The company is very professional...I rec'd a call back in within minutes of leaving a msg. The repairman was wonderful. He did a lot of little things for me and was very clean and prompt. I would so use them again...in fact I have some other things that I want to upgrade, so I am giving them a call!

The job was done professionally with effective results to light my entire patio and back yard. The installation is pleasing in appearance. We agreed to the project in the morning. The work was done completely that same afternoon.

I called Excel Electrician for installing two pendant lights. They responded very fast and send Mike to install the lights in the afternoon. Mike did a nice job and I am very happy.

Tom called me back in response to an e-mail, on a Saturday, and scheduled an appointment for me for first thing Monday morning. Mike arrived promptly Monday and started work promptly. He was frustrated as the studs in the walls prevented him from bringing wires in the easy way from a neighboring wall. He kept me informed of all steps and he eventually ended up having to go from the attic down to the bathroom toilet area. He apologized for the time it took, but it was very clear he was problem solving in a logical manner going from ideal to necessary and workable without any waste of time. He cleaned everything up nicely and next worked on the wobbling ceiling fan. It too was a fierce adversary but Mike was able to improve its function and assure its safety. I have to agree with all the other reviews and recommend this service unreservedly. Prompt, polite, professional and personable. You can't go wrong.

Arrived on time. Called 30 minutes prior to arrival. Connected GFI outlet via flexible housing through the garage to the circuit box. My wife felt he was very polite and gave the impression that he was there to earn our business.

We lost power to one bedroom. Spoke with Tom & scheduled a visit for the next day. The electrician to expect was Josh. He showed up on time and work was completed in less and hour. Since I was being charged for an hour, Josh also took the time to answer other questions & helped me find better alternatives for lighting. The cost for this job was almost 40% less than a previous quote from a different company. They also applied a 10% coupon, I didn't know about. I appreciated Excel Electrics' punctual, honest and good work so much that I rehired them to replace several rooms' lighting to LED.

Extremely promt response to phone inquiry. 45 minutes from phone call to arrival at my house.. Professional installation...all packaging and debris removed.

Estimate was provided to perform the work the same day I requested a quote. Work was performed the next day as promised - -on time and on budget.
