Excel Electric

Tom answered the phone and gave a suggestion to try to reset the outlet before we had them come over to look at it. Although the fix didn't work, we appreciated the effort to avoid a service call. They came over that same day and determined that the outlet was fine but we had a faulty fuse that needed replacement. The whole repair effort took an hour. Price included the part and $140 service call.They did a great job and we will use them again for sure.

Found and fixed the problem quickly. I've used a number of other electricians previously who did shoddy work that I had to drive 2hrs to my rental and repair. It was nice to find someone who got the job done right the first time.

It went great. The electrician showed up during his window and did what I needed very competently. We worked together with me adding the smoke detectors to the app, and him handling removing the old detectors and physically installing the new ones.

This was our fourth time using Excel Electric (total about $,1600). The electrician (Josh) was on time, worked cleanly and installed the ceiling fan well. He determined that the transformer servicing the address 12V light fixture had burned out. He did not have a 12V transformer and installed a 16V, 10VA transformer (the old transformer was also 16V; don't know the VA). He tested the light, which initially worked. However, it soon started dimming and did not come on at all that night, or any other night. I called Excel Electric the next morning and spoke with Tom, explaining that the light did not work. He told me that he would call me back after speaking with the electrician. Two days later I called him after not hearing from him. He told me that, while they were looking to see if they could find a 12V transformer, he couldn't really do much because they had "replaced like with like." I never heard from him again. I will not use this company in the future. I don't have a problem with the people they've sent out, but I want a company that can fix my problems and not one that thinks they're done by replacing "like with like." I hired them to fix my address light. It's not fixed. And I want one that returns phone calls.

Brian from Excel did a great job. I had previously asked my handyman to diagnose and fix the problem but he couldn't. Brian figured it out in 5 minutes - there was a bad EFI outlet that was stopping all the other outlets on the circuit from working. He replaced the outlet and the problem was solved. Also I was impressed by fact that I called them on Friday afternoon, and they were here first thing Monday morning.

They responded quickly and showed up on time. The electrician was polite and knowledgeable. It was an overall good experience.

I've used Excel Electric. I did find them on Angie's List about 6 months ago. At this point I have used them about 3 times in a six month period. Just yesterday one of their electricians was here to replace a failing light fixture. The fixture was $41 and the regular charge was $125.

I would highly recommend Excel Electric and will use them again. I called Tom after searching Angie's list and he was very thorough in diagnosing the situation on the phone and telling me what to expect. We set up an appointment for two days later and Justin showed up as promised. The job expanded a bit while he was here but he handled everything perfectly and I thought the pricing was very fair even though we changed the scope of work at the last minute. From start to finish, a job well done!!

Tom responded quickly on a Saturday and was able to get someone out here first thing Monday morning. The electrician was very knowledgeable and friendly. He completed everything we requested and answered all of our questions in a professional manner. I would definitely recommend this company.

Hi I just received a call from Tom at Excel Electric doing a follow up call as to why I was dissatisfied with his service. Their must of been a computer glitch as I didn't use Excel Electric but wished I would have. My experience with Comfort Electric was a D rating and will not use them again. Very happy with the owner who responded quickly to my inquiry and gave me an estimate. The electrician was on time, friendly and installed the switch where I wanted. The job went quicker than anticipated and they charged less than the estimate. Very honest. Would definitely use again for future electrical needs.

Wow. These guys are incredible. They actually answered the phone when I called, had an electrician at my home within an hour, and had the work completed within another hour. I contacted Excel the week prior, and Tom returned my call a few times. Today we were able to connect, and Mike was dispatched the same day as he was already in the area. I had given Tom all of the details of what we were looking for, and he didn't feel it would take very long to fix. Mike showed up within the time window and was able to get everything done in under an hour, it was great! Very friendly, filled out a work order for us to provide to escrow for proof of repairs completed, and the prices were extremely reasonable. I will be recommending Excel to all of my friends and also to my agent for future use. Thanks Tom and Mike for making this easy and fast, and well priced!

They showed up on time completed their tasks courteously, professionally, fixed a incorrectly functioning switch-at no additional charge, cleaned up completely and tested all the garage doors before they left.

Called Tom in the afternoon and he was able to give me a quote- which was based off sq footage of my condo- and was able schedule his crew to come out on the next morning. I took the time to move all the furniture away from the walls to expose all the outlets for the electricians. The 3 electricians showed up right on time- they were very professional and took about 3.5 hours to install all the outlets and switches. They cleaned up after they left- very professional, cost less than expected, will use again for my future electrical needs.

Called and they came out the same day with the exact fan I wanted. They quoted the price a little higher in case we ran into problems, but work was done quickly and under the quoted amount. I may have them do the other bathroom fan next!
