Description of Work: Ryan from Excel came to run a TV cable for us to replace one that went bad. He immediately suggested what I had thought, that to run the cable in the walls would create havoc and that it could be run outside without a problem, but would have to be done by COX. He arrived when I was on the phone for tech support for an issue with computer software for which I had waited for literally days! he was patient, professional and talked himself out of a job with us. He also checked with his boss Tom, who agreed with his advice. When I went to settle the Excel charges I asked if there was a senior discount, and Ryan said there was, called Tom and ended up making his visit, his consultation and his advice free!!!! Once again, Kudos to this very well reviewed company and its employees. I could not be happier! Seven stars out of 5!

Description of Work: Love this company. I had them originally come out to install a couple of ceiling fans and fix some other small electrical issues in my home. Josh was on time and very professional. He gave me a quote and I booked an appointment. When they came to do the work, they were timely, clean and personable. I liked the work they did so much I hired them to come out again and install some light fixtures and do some other electrical work. I would highly recommend this company and I would not hesitate to contact them again in the future.

Description of Work: I had a problem with a cat5 cable in my home that the AT&T tech told me was bad and would have to be replaced. Justin came out and double checked the cable and eventually diagnosed the problem as a clip the AT&T tech had placed on the end of the cat5 cable. He replaced the clip and the problem was solved. I am very satisfied with how Excel handled the problem. AT&T, not so much.

Description of Work: I called because of a flickering light problem of which he had over 300 calls that morning due to the Electric Company problem. He was very helpful, approachable, answered a few other questions I had and for a challenging morning of calls, a very pleasant person to talk too.

Description of Work: Raised lighting fixture up higer in one room and installed a ceiling light fixture in a second room that had no pre-wiring in place. I thought they did a very good job and a reasonable price.

Description of Work: Called Tom and told him what my issue was. Believe it or not, he told me what the problem was and and it was fixed over the phone. At no charge. He said if he could do it this way, he wouldn't have to take my money. Awesome guy. Thanks.

Description of Work: After getting a couple other electricians telling me I had to replace my whole feeder panel ($2500 to $3000) due to one burned out bus bar tab, Tom at Excel Electric told me I had other less expensive and less time consuming options. Tom suggested a couple options that were to current electrical codes. Tom offered this help knowing I had another electrician already lined up for an afternoon visit - I was getting multiple bids since I thought the project was going to be big. Anyways, this is an honest, helpful company and I highly recommend them. I got the job done for $270, about 10% what I thought I was going to have to spend.

Description of Work: Excellent work! We had four ceiling fans installed in rooms that also needed the electrical work done. They did a great job with a minimum number of holes cut into the walls. We did not have all the fans at time of install, and they came back a second day at no extra charge.
