 + 0 moreI called Excel Electric over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, left a message, and was pleasantly surprised when I received a return call that day. Working around my schedule, an appointment was set up for today. Josh arrived well within the time window given and I couldn't be more impressed. He introduced himself, shook my hand, and looked me in the eye. He got right to work and was pleasant, courteous, professional, knowledgable, and informative. He didn't rush, but did all the work efficiently and excellently. I believe the pricing was more than fair, especially for quality work without worry. Though I had called Excel for two electrical issues, seeing Josh's work, I asked about a few other electrical problems I had. Josh was willing and able to do the other projects that needed addressing while he was here. I already have more projects in mind now that I have an electrician and company that I can trust.
Description of Work: Rewired/repaired ceiling fan connection, installed smoke detector, installed two fan/light adjustable power switches, did trouble shooting on GFI and fountain connection, advised how and where light for hall closet could be installed...

 + -1 moreAfter I explained the problem and what I had done to attempt to fix it myself, John knew exactly what the problem was, quickly isolated the problem switch, and repaired it. We tested the circuit again and it worked properly. Total job took about half of an hour.

 + 2 moreI can't say enough good things about Tom at Excel Electric. I was completely remodeling an old 60's house, down to the studs. I'm so glad I chose Excel to do the work. They were always responsive and dealt well with the timing of the remodel, usually there within 24 hours of when I needed them to perform next steps as the project progressed. Every time we encountered any issues they were on hand to answer immediately and it was a very friendly experience, just what you need when juggling a lot of subcontractors. Joshua, the main guy who performed the work was extremely professional and even helped pull data and coax cables to wire a modern house. I interviewed several electricians and Excel were the clear favorite. If you need any electrical work done, big or small, you won't go wrong with these guys. I've since bought a new house and will use them again without any hesitation. My project was pretty much a full house rewire, and I never ever felt worried or stressed about them handling it. A+ rating, I couldn't have asked for anything more.
Description of Work: Installed 26 LED can lights, new sub panel, AC circuit, bathroom ventilation fans, room ceiling fans, outdoor lighting, garage lighting, updated outlets, complete home renovation.

Just needed a higher amp circuit breaker installed (which he had in his truck) as our house already had copper wires to handle the extra load. All done within the hour at the agreed price. Will use Excel again and would recommend them.
Description of Work: Provide inspection and test for additional amp usage in house that has medical equipment and the need for additional a/c use. Needed someone with proper experience and test equipment.

Description of Work: This company is theeeeee best! I have used them for past 4 years after moving into my house (and the previous owner thought he was a do it yourself guy so all electrical stuff was totally messsed) . I am so glad to have found Excel they are family owned a d every worker are very professional, clean, quick and honest. They don't do short cuts and if they can do a job that saves you money they will suggest it. Electrical companies are like plumbers when you find a good one you want everyone to know becuase we all know what a pai. And how expensive it can get with the wrong help. All Work done in past and present: Electric box removed from old built in bbq. Rewire some incorrect wiring in attic for attic fan Electric box for light fixtures for front of house Add light fixture in backyard to house Correct and fix all light switches and outlets to good standards in entire house. Take out old Display lighting/track lighting in bonus room ceilings. I highly recommend this wonderful company. I can't stress how good and honest they are. Use others at your own risk but Excel Electrics are Excellent!

Description of Work: Excel Electric replaced all smoke detectors in my home in the initial visit. I had them come back to install a ceiling fan. They also helped me replace bezel and trim on my recessed lighting. The total spent was approximately $500.00 for all visits.

Description of Work: I have been using Excel for my kitchen remodel and they have been doing an outstanding job. I have been stuck a couple of times with having to call Tom to have some outlets moved because of some new cabinets being installed. The work to install the new wiring has been done and they will be back after the drywallers and cabinet installers have done their job to finish the electrical. So far it has been a good experience and I would recommend Excel electric.

The gentlemen were fast and VERY clean- and they actually found some wiring problems left behind by the last guy that they fixed for me and showed me in detail everything that I needed to know about the codes. I had expected them to have to make a couple of very large holes in the walls in order to run wiring, but they were able to do it completely with just two, very small holes to patch! I was VERY happy and VERY impressed with their service. I would surely have them back to do any electrical work that I need.

Another company said they would be there on the prior day but did not show up, so this morning I called Excel first thing and got a 7:30 am appointment.The old fuse box was badly cracked, so my electrician went out to get a new one and quickly had everything in order. I liked his attention to safety.I asked him to make a quote on more work and do the 3-way switch and jacuzzi fixes right then.No surprise on the charge: I was told when I made the appointment the base rate and hourly rate to do the extra work I asked for.Professional and diligent in their work.
Description of Work: repair broken supply wire and replace fuse box for 240v supply to air conditioner.diagnose and correct faulty wiring for a 3-way switch.diagnose and correct faulty wiring for Ground Fault Interrupt (GFI) for jacuzzi tub.
