BRAD BOX GENERAL CONTRACTING

Wow! Where to begin? We began with the patio cover. After several estimates and interviews we chose Brad, and he did not disappoint. He came up with great ideas and a beautiful patio cover. He was definitely not the cheapest, but we believed in, "you get what you pay for." We then continued remodeling two bathrooms and laying wood flooring. His tiling in the bathrooms was true perfection. However, toward the end of the project we could tell he was anxious to finish and be done. The floor and door moulding were slapped up with large gaps, and his solution to the tricky stairwell moulding was completely amateurish. We were waiting for bedroom doors when he texted that he was done and not returning. His reason? We had hired a painter for the bathroom and bedroom doors who he personally disliked. We were left without bedroom doors and without the small list of corrections completed. However, we had paid him ALL his money. Over our year of remodeling, we thought we had become friends. We didn't think we needed to hold back 10% in order to get him to complete the job. We tried calling, texting and even writing to him, but he never responded. We are still mystified by his behavior...and very hurt.

Brad ALWAYS showed up on time - or early, each day he swept up and put his tools away, completed the patio cover when he said he would, and it was all done on a handshake.

I was looking for someone to redo the railing for my large L-shaped deck. My home was built in the late 70s and the spacing between the posts were to wide (I've got a 2 year old child). Also, there was a bit of dry rot damage. He did NOT use a "ready made kit" to create the posts and pickets. He purchased the wood and personally cut and primed each piece. He drew a picture of the railing design and created exactly what he drew. The railing now is very sturdy! We also had Brad replace weight bearing beams and posts that hold up the deck due to termite damage and dry wrought. We were concerned originally since the beam went into the house and had stucco around it. Brad replaced it and put it back into "original" condition. You wouldn't even know we had the work done. Brad was always professional, punctual and would show up when he said he would show. He did not request for payment until all details were completed and to our liking.
