I called Westshore Roofing on 10/5/12 to request that someone come to provide me an estimate for repair/replacement of some exposed wood beneath my gutter line. The gentleman who answered took all of my information and indicated someone would call back. As of yesterday, 10/11/12, I had not heard from them, so I called again. I was told they are no longer accepting new work. I indicated that wasn't the situation last Friday when I had called. The gentleman asked at what time I called on Friday (as if that should matter, but I had called between 9-10am). I found this to be highly unprofessional- if they had my information, the least they could do was return my call and tell me they weren't accepting new work.

This was a truly excellent experience. Steve can and bid the job. He was polite, friendly, knowledgable and responded immediately to all my calls and concerns. The first day a roof removal crew arrived. The were effective, efficient and left the job spotless. It was completed in 4 hours. Afterwards I walked the roof deck and could almost no broken wood. They knew what they were doing. The next day Raphael, the roofer and his crew arrived and began the job. He was friendly, easy to speak and did a first rate job. Arrived every day on time, put in some extra hours to move the job along. I also had some special requests (remove and install an antenna from second story, deal with a leaky skylight, add flashing in some place where the shake roof butts up against a flat tar and gravel roof. Raphael and his crew took care of everything. Also, the second day the gutter crew arrived. They were fast, friendly and did a great job. The forman also took the time make sure how I wanted downspouts placed and their length, like over a tree root. They took the time to ask rather than just decide for me. When the job was completed, the clean up crew arrived the last day of roofing work. The thoroughly cleaned the roof, gutters and perimeter of the house. Start to finish it was excellent profession work. I have already recommended them to a neighbor who is building a new home.

Westshore did an excellent job overall. Early on in the estimate phase I contacted 4 reputable roofing companies. Westshore was the only one that completely met my "want" list. Westshores total cost was similar to others I received. I had specific things I wanted taken care of like straightening out multiple dips on portions of my roof. They spent the time to straighten the roof dips before the plywood went down. They spent the time with me to discuss the pros and cons of particular tiles (and how they were to be secured), rake trim, gutters, ridge vents, etc. Westshore was willing to wait for my stucco and painting contractors to finish their jobs before completing their job on my roof. I greatly appreciated that. There were a few issues along the way but these were minor and taken care of. Westshores crews were friendly and considerate. After the job was completed they did a good job on final clean up. Thank you Gabriel, Paul, Steve and Westshore crews. I really like my new roof and how it looks. I'm glad I went with Westshore.

The job started ahead of schedule with the roof being torn-off on the Saturday, starting to do the dryrot repair Sunday and started roofing on Monday. The roof was completely on by Wednesday. The biggest delay was waiting to get the permit inspections completed. I had some other permits that had to be paid off before the roof permit could be pulled. Paul took care of those for me so I didn't have to go down to the permit office myself - this was a big time saver for me. They had to do some minor work to get the permit clearance, but it wasn't a big deal. I was amazed at how few nails were left behind and how clean things were after the roof tear-off - the magnetic sweeping works really well and they were very professional. I would definitely recommend using Westshore to my family & friends. They also had the best price out of four other estimates.

the appointment went extremely well. I will definitely contact Westshore in the future for our roofing needs. Wishing Westshore had a roofing maintenance program, which they don't. I would love to have a reputable company that would offer this type of service.

Definitely get more than one contractor coming out to get the real story. This contractor and another one both told me I did not need a new roof and why. I appreciated that.

It went very well. We were very happy with the entire process, from initial contact, quote, "go", work begin =>complete. Easy to work with. We area very happy with the new roof. We would use them again. They used a machine to lift pallets of shingles to the roof. Some of the pallets were dropped on the roof and landed with some force. Perhaps as a result of this, on the interior of the house, we noticed the heads of nails protruding from drywall/ceiling in several places (where they previously had not protruded). Westshore sent someone out to re-hammer the nails and patch & paint. We're happy with the result.

I contacted Westshore Roofing via Angie's List. Steve emailed me later that same day asking for my phone number so he could schedule a meeting for an estimate. I was happy to see how quickly he responded to my inquiry. I emailed him the following day and gave him my husband's cell number. Surprisingly, my husband never received a call from Steve or anyone else from Westshore. Because other roofers I had contacted followed through, I decided not to pursue Westshore.

They were very responsive, especially given a short time frame. The work went well and was almost entirely done in two days. They did leave a ladder and some junk at the house and on the roof for almost another week, but it was eventually taken away. The roof seems to be very nicely done to my untrained eyes.

This experience was better than I ever could have imagined. Seriously? If I had to find a word to really describe this process, I'd have to say "perfect". Steve Pustelink was the Project Manager who arrived to give me an estimate. Steve actually sold me on Westshore. After discussing my issues, Steve and I walked the property. He was very interested in checking out every detail, looked carefully at the two smaller structures, checked the attic area to see how the roof was originally constructed. He spent two hours discussing all of my concerns, roof choices, whether I wanted new gutters, etc. He walked all three roofs. Steve then did a drawing and said he would send the proposal. When I received Steve's 12 page comprehensive proposal, I knew I wanted Westshore to do this work! After I began the process, Steve and I were in constant email communication and sometimes phone communication because I always have numerous questions. All of my issues were addressed. They removed an old box with a clay vent (it served no function), there were some boards to be replaced and they made an extra effort when doing that (too long to explain here), and Steve even worked with me to find an alternative for the roof removal which saved me hundreds (they ended up accessing the roof from the lawn area). In the end, I changed my mind about the style of roof and ended up with Presidential "shadow grey". I'm sure there are more details I could share, but not to bore you, I'll stop here. I couldn't be happier! My roofs are gorgeous, solid and I'm so grateful. I do want to give a thank you to Steve, to the entire crew who did such a beautiful job on my home and to Rick who stopped by especially to analyze the alternative access to accomplish the roof removal. Westshore is a well-oiled machine.

Scheduled an appointment for an estimate and rep arrived as scheduled. Very professional, estimate arrived as promised and was competitive with other estimates received. Steve made several follow-up calls to ensure we had all the info we needed, without every being pushy. Roof was for my mother's home and ultimately she decided to go with another company, but would definitely consider Westshore for any future needs.

One of my roof vents was askew (turns out that was the only one I could see - there were actually three). Based on the excellent reviews on Angie's List, I called Westshore Roofing. Steve came over to take a look at the roof and to resecure the three vents - all at no charge. He was extremely helpful and professional - and told me I have about 5 years of life left on my roof. I will definitely be calling Westshore Roofing when it's time to replace the roof. Very thorough and professional.

When we decided to bite the bullet and put a new roof on our house we interviewed 5+ roofing firms. While we wanted a good price, being retired, we were more interested in having a good quality roof put on and to feel happy with the end product. We researched the roofers carefully on Angies List, Yelp and other forums. The bids were very similar in price but not in thoroughness. The typical company spent all of 10 minutes with us and didn't even go up and inspect the roof, which is not straight forward but all cut-up and sectioned, it's an old house. Paul, the owner of Westshore, spent over 90 minutes with us,explaining the different types of roofing materials, the pros and cons of each; He outlined our options and listening to what we wanted. When we received his proposal, it was amazing, he listed everything we has asked for and then some. He had obviously really listened to our requirements and understood our concerns. And the bid was reasonable, actually cheaper than most of the others. We probably drove Paul crazy with constant questions over a couple of weeks period until we were ready to select a contractor. Several days before the job was ready to start, Westshore called to confirm the date and times. All the crews: tear off, delivery, roofing etc. showed up punctually as agreed. The work was exceptional. My husband is a retired contractor and is extremely fussy. We have had more than one contractor who has not lived up to his bar. Westshore's crew went above and beyond in delivering on their proposal and accommodating additional requests at no extra cost. The quality of the roof is incredible from the way they matched the shakes to the way they carefully reinstalled the weathervane and made sure it pointed to north with a compass, when on our lot this almost looks like east. The building inspector was also very complimentary, from telling us at the onset that most roofers did a poor job to telling us at the final inspection that this was one of the best roof installations he had ever seen. Westshore definitely has our highest recommendation and very grateful thanks that we discovered such a high calibre, high integrity company.

We had used Westshore Roofing 5 years before to replace our shake roof on our primary resdience. They did such a professional job that they were the first we called when we needed roof help with our rental property. Paul Fowler, the owner of Westshore, came out and did a comprehensive review of the roof and ultimately provided us a detailed quote for the work. We also took quotes from several other roofers in the area. Paul's was the most competitive bid for the type of roof we wanted and we knew his work quality, so we selected Paul. The Westshore crew started the work on time, but it did take longer than originally estimated; part of this was due to a delay in acquiring the clay tiles for the tile work. All of the Westshore folks that i met during the work were professional and focused on our project. Paul also recommeded another contractor to repair an interior wall. His recommendation did a great job and at a very resonable price. Paul and Westshore have provided us great service and value. I highly recommend them for your roofing needs.

Absolutely terrific service from start to finish. Steve came to our home for the original estimate. He took care of us through the entire process start to finish. He was stellar. Immediately responsive with all concerns. Returned calls immediately. The roofing team was terrific. They were punctual, efficient, responsive. They totally cleaned up each day. We only had one snafu and that is the true test of a company. The tear off crew removed our gutters and we wanted to keep them. When I called Steve about the gutters, he said "Guess what? That means you get new gutters for free!" They immediately brought out gutter samples and let us pick what we wanted and sent a paint crew to paint them. I wish I could use Steve and Westshore for every housing need we have. They were stellar from start to finish. Their quote was 30% less than other companies and their quote was the final cost!

I obtained quotes from several A rated roofing companies from Angie's List. Paul Fowler, the owner of Westshore Roofing, came out to give me the quote himself. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable and thorough he was, unlike other companies that just sent a sales rep. The bottom line is I got a very high quality roof, CertainTeed and IB roofing, at an excellent price. Most companies charged 2 - 3 times more for the IB flat roofing material. His pricing was the most competitive out of all the A grade companies that I called. His team was quickly able to come out to do the installation and got the job done within a few days. I was out of town even when they performed all the work, and everything went fairly smoothly. When I came back, everything was cleaned up pretty good. I was a bit surprised they didn't paint the trim over my garage, but most importantly they did an excellent job on the roof itself. Overall, I am very happy with the job done and would definitely use them again. Excellent quality, service and value, highly recommend!

Westshore performed exactly as specified under the contract, which clearly specified many of the details that otherwise maybe overlooked. Westshore workers were very punctual and had a large crew to complete the roof demolition in a very short time. Their installation crew was also very professional, courteous, and cleaned up daily. Between the roof installation we had other exterior construction occurring, and Westshore was very flexible regarding scheduling the gutter and downpout accordingly. Steve Pustelnik was also very helpful during this construction process in managing some construction issues that had arisen, but moved quickly to resolve them much to my satisfaction and even included additional services/materials at no addiitional costs. Overall, I was very pleased with their work and finished product. As a discriminating architect, I would not have any hesitation to recommend them or use them on another roof job.

We entered into contract on a home, and needed an estimate for a new roof. I called to set up an appointment and Paul called me right back to schedule a time that worked for me. They were available within the tight time frame i had to set up an appointment. He was very kind over the phone. We had to cancel the appointment as we did not follow through with the purchase, but he was accepting of this, and we will definitely call again if we do need a new roof in the future.

Called on 12/21 to have an estimate done, made an appointment for 12/23. Paul showed up during the schedule time windown on 12/23. He was knowledgeable about the gutters and had samples of the gutters and gutter covers for me to look at. After another person came by with an estimate the following week I called them back to let them know I wanted them to complete the work. I left the signed paperwork on the porch which they picked up 2 days later. They called the week after New Years to let me know they would try to schedule the work for the following week. They called the next Monday to say they would start the next day. Short notice but not a big deal, i took the day off. The people came on time and replaced the gutters and downspots, the work looks good to me. I was slightly surprised that the people who did the gutters didn't know about the gutter covers and soffets, so I called Westshore's office. They said the gutter covers and soffets would be done the next day by a different set of people. I then took another day off from work and waited for they workers to show up ~9am. No one showed up so I called the office they said they were handling payroll and safely items and the workers would arrive later in the day. The person did show up and installed the gutter covers and replaced the soffet vents that day. I'm very happy with all the work they did and the price was good too.

My experience with Paul was very professional. After I placed the call to speak with a sales personel, I got a call from Paul right away. We set up an appointment for an estimate on a Thursday afternoon. He showed up on time, wrote up an estimate, and I signed the agreement and was told that the work would be done on Monday afternoon. For some reason, his worker did not show up, nor was I informed that they rescheduled the work for Tuesday. The work was completed on Tuesday within an hour. The person that did the work was very courteous and apologized for not showing up the day before. I would use Westshore roofing again!!

They first came and gave me a bid. I felt comfortable with them and went ahead and used them. Their work was very efficient as requested. They sent three different skill set people. One group came to strip the roof, the other to put the new roof, and the third group came and did the drain and finishing work. They all did well.

We saw some of the work that they did and we were impressed with that. We were also impressed with the people who came out to talk to us. When they did the job, they did it quickly, they did it neatly, and they did exactly what we wanted. It was a very good experience. They are honest, hard-working, courteous, and efficient people. I can’t say enough about them; I thought it was a wonderful experience. I thought it was a lot of money, but it was worth it.

The process was generally good, though it did get off to a bit of a rocky start. The crew that ultimately removed the existing shakes arrived later than they planned. They did remove all the shake by day's end. But, they failed to cover the garage contents with plastic as I was originally told would take place. Quite a bit of debris landed in the garage. And, it turned out that some nails and portions of the shake fell down one of roof vents and landed on the fan of my hooded microwave which is installed over the stove. Paul, Westshore Roofing's owner reimbursed me for the microwave repair. He also sent a foreman to the house to inspect the completed roof and gutters and made sure final touches were done to insure the roof would pass final inspection. One thing to be clear about: I was very pleased that once I told the company's owner of any concern, such as the debris or microwave issues, he responded quickly and the problem was quickly resolved. That was very impressive.

My positive experience started when my sales rep arrived at my house five minutes early- punctuality which was consistent throughout my experience with the company. He did a great job of explaining my options and showing me samples of the materials they would be using. He also arrived with a comprehensive list of homes in my area that Westshore had recently completed. The proposal was clear and straightforward. I felt the proposal to be fair, and I was comfortable that the company would be around to provide additional services should I need them. I also liked the materials they choose and felt that paying a little more for materials such as the MountainRidge trim was worthwhile. The demo crew showed on on the date promised (a half hour early) and the shake was off the house and removed from my property on the same day. The supervisor of the roofing crew (Camillo) was just great and he managed a team of between 2 and about 10 workmen during the 4 days of construction.Construction was completed with amazing speed and they did a great job of cleanup. I think the roof looks fantastic and I am very pleased with the entire experience. Each phase of the project was handled professionally and with great competence. I would definitely recommend this company.

Their work turned out very well, and I had a good experience. They did their work promptly, and completed everything as promised. Also, the estimate was give to me in a timely and professional manner.
