We had our ups and downs just like you do with any project. In the end I was very satisfied with the result.

The project managers are professional and courteous. The end product was good quality. However, they hire a. subcontractor for the "demo" work. The demo team backed their truck back into my house, crushing the steel gutter. I ended up hiring someone else to fix the gutter after they left. So, while the Westshore employees were all professional, WATCH OUT for the demo crew and have a Westshore product manager present while demo is beginning.

They were punctual, clean and did a very high quality job. Paul Fowler is a great guy to work with and I recommend Westshore Roofing to anyone who needs roofing.

The Project Manager, Steve Pustelnik, showed up for the estimate appoint on time, with materials and process information. He inspected the roof and overhangs. He was very detailed and accommodating in describing what the experience would be, and setting expectations. The appointment was on Thursday, Steve said I was receive the estimate/agreement via email by the following Monday, and that's when it arrived. I chose Westshore because I felt confident they would do a good job and they could start earlier than other companies that provided estimates. The crew used to remove the old roof showed up on time, did their job, and did an excellent job with the exterior clean up. Even though I was advised to cover up any open areas under the roof, the interior clean up surprised me. I have a ceiling in my garage that is also a shallow storage area, plus spaces over the ceiling areas in my house that are insulated that I will have to clean up the debris. It's more than I envisioned. The roofing team showed up on time, was very good at communicating what to expect and timing, explained what repairs needed to be performed and reiterated the costs. I knew some would be needed, because we had a couple of seasons of leakage. The crew supervisor showed me the areas that needed repair, and explained why a couple of locations did not need repairs, to save me money. Steve had also showed me areas under the overhang that would possibly need replacement/repairs and explained the cost involved in the possible repairs, which they adhered to. My only issue with the crew was, they made quite a bit of noise throwing the packets of shingle around the roof. I work out of my home, so the noise was disruptive at times. The pricing was in line with other companies. The work was completed in the time frame set in the agreement. It took 3 days and probably would have been completed in 2 days, except it was during a cold spell and there was a lot of frost on the roof creating unsafe working conditions.

They are awesome. I recommended them. I interviewed several to do the job and they came in right in the middle of the road and they did everything that they said they were going to do in the timeframe they said they were going to do it. There was no cost over a run which is exactly what you’re looking for a contractor.

I think they are on Angie's List. The job they did was very good, it was done punctually and they were very responsive to changes I had to make. I think their pricing was fine, but I did not compare them with other roofing companies. I had a very nice experience with them.

They did a great job. I was very happy with their service. One thing that I liked about them was that the owner of the company did a slideshow presentation of what they would do and the steps that they would go through to take off the roof and put on the new roofing. Being a woman, that was really helpful to me. They were great. They came early in the morning and they had the old roof torn off and loaded on a truck to haul all that stuff away. There was also another truck waiting at the corner for them to pull out of my driveway so that they could come and deliver the plywood and the other things that they put on top of the plywood. Everything was done really great. They did a terrific job and the workers were good. They did not talk all day long. They were up there doing the job and that showed their professionalism. I interviewed four people and their prices were all in the same ballpark. They did not always respond to calls and things but they were punctual so I will give them credit for that.

Working with Westshore Roofing was very good experience, especially for a newbie like me. Paul and Sven are excellent folks both technical knowledge and customer experience. They are pretty good listener at the same time explain things nicely. Pros: 1. Excellent Pricing 2. Very good customer experience 3. Highly competitive team. Area of improvement They need to work on their timelines as they are pretty swamped with work.

Steve Pustelnik came to my house to discuss what I wanted (Composition Vs. Metal Vs. Concrete Tile) and to take measurements to provide me with free estimates for each type of roof. Steve, was very professional, very patient, and very knowledgeable. He explained the pros and cons of each type of roof material, and he spent much time explaining to me exactly what is put on the roof beneath the final product (i.e. What is under the composition shingles, or what is under the metal roof that we don't see when we drive by someone's house). My 2 brothers and my parents had all used Westshore roofing to re-roof their houses, and all were extremely happy with them, which is why I contacted them for my roofing needs. In the end, I chose a different roofer (recommended by neighbors and close friends) ONLY because the other roofer had an antenna installer they work with regularly who would remove an antenna I have on my roof and re-install it by strapping it to our chimney. I could have contacted an antenna installer myself and had the antenna work done, and then used Westshore Roofing to do my roof, but it will require less of my time to use the roofer who is going to get the antenna work scheduled and coordinated without my having to do it. I would urge everyone who is going to re-roof their house to consider Westshore for 2 reasons: 1) I know they do excellent work based on the fact they did 3 homes for other members of my family, and 2) they are one of only a few roofers who install metal roofs. I was skeptical I'd like the look of a metal roof, but they are actually quite nice-looking. You would never know they are metal! They actually look a lot like concrete tile roofs and are significantly more attractive than most composition roofs.

I had numerous bids that I narrowed to 3. I picked Westshore from those 3 for a number of reasons. Paul Fowler, the owner, made a really good first impression. On the first visit, he spent a lot of time charting out the roof on graph paper and drawing in the work to be done. Then he clearly explained his proposal, explaining the options and the cost for each (later I saw his workers using that chart as a guide when they were installing the roof). I also like the materials he proposed to use, the Palisade synthetic underlayment and the Winterguard product for the valleys, eves, and under the flashings. The price was reasonable and among the lowest. I looked at a couple of roofs that Westshore had installed. They looked good to me. Finally, I felt comfortable that Westshore is a reputable company with the owner himself fully involved. So I went with them. To my unqualified eye, the work seemed to go really well. The finished product looks great. Even the little girl across the street thought it looked good. The product seems to be of the best quality. Paul answered all questions reasonably and well while the work was being done. Paul showed up when the work was mostly done and noted a number of items to be finalized, and listened to some minor requests from me. It takes a little patience to wait for the workers to come back and finish up those final little details, but they did show up within days. I gave Paul a bit of a hard time with concerns over the functioning of the roof fan, but I finally realized the perceived problem was really a non problem. Paul listened with patience and didn't lose his cool during that time. The only real negatives are very small ones. The lose gutter was supposed to be refastened with screws, but the brackets used seem to do the job. Also, the attic fan comes on when the roof temp reaches 90 degrees. I'm not sure that it shouldn't be 100, which is the default factory setting. All in all, I am very pleased and highly recommend Westshore if you are looking to replace your roof.

They were on time on time and very professional. They had excellent communication and follow up with me.

Westshore did a fantastic job. They addressed all my issues quickly, keep me informed of any changes in the schedule and cleaned up the yard everyday. I would highly recommend them.

Westshore Roofing was polite and professional from start to finish. For the initial consultation and follow-up meeting to select the materials, they were able to give us evening appointment times so I didn't need to leave work early. As a first-time homeowner it was important to feel at ease with the company performing such a major renovation and I think they did an excellent job start to finish. I highly recommend Westshore Roofing and would use them again next time I need roofing services.

We received quotes from five roofing companies on Angie's list. Mr Fowler's price wasn't quite the best overall, yet it was the best price for what we felt was the best product. We also took into account the thorough and detailed quote he provided, , it was the fastest quote, and his willingness to work with us on a fast turn around., I first asked for a quote for some replacement shingles and a few months later decided to replace the roof so asked for a new quote then. They finished the roof in the timeframe they said and they also replaced a gutter that had been dented during their roof replacement with no hassle at all. They took full responsibility for it and I like doing business with a company like that. I would recommend them to any of my friends and neighbors and even gave out their information to a couple of ladies I volunteer with. I would hire them again!

Paul had to coordinate schedules and details w/solar installer, which delayed project. Workers were very conserderate on site, but I would like better communication on days when they would be late or avsent altogether. (I had to coordinate my work schedule so my dogs could use the yard during the day)

Went very well overall. Very happy with the service and end result.

Paul and his team are expert at what they do. They are hard-working, precise, detailed, and thorough. They keep the work site clean and neat and make sure nothing is overlooked. Add to this that their price is exceedingly reasonable and it's a killer deal!

I am very happy with Westshore Roofing and my new roof! I worked with Steve and he was very knowledgeable on all of the many questions I asked. I felt that he answered all of my questions very well and I just felt like he knew more about roofing than anyone else I had contacted. I felt like I was in good hands with Westshore Roofing.

Paul and his crew performed outstanding work from initial contact all the way though to completion. After contacting several other roofing contractors, Westshore was clearly the best choice for so many reasons. Like many homeowners in our area, replacing a roof is likely a one-time affair since roofs typically last 30 years or so. This was our first roof replacement and found that we spent far more time investigating and researching roofing options than we ever thought we would have to. So many different roofers, and so many different materials and installation methods was mind boggling. It seemed that most every contractor wanted to do it "their way". Some said that particle board was bad, some said it was good, some liked radiant barrier, some didn't and on and on. Many contractors wouldn't even listen to what we wanted. Instead what we heard was "Look, I've been doing this for 30 years and I know what's good and what isn't so don't tell me how to put on a roof... blah blah blah...". What we quickly found was that it was impossible to make apples to apples comparisons among the dozen or so contractor quotes due to the different mateials they wanted to use. To make sense out of it all we finally decided to specify one kind of radiant barrier, one kind of roof decking, one kind of shingles, along with a specific set of installation instructions (i.e. no shortcuts guys - please). We invited more than 15 contractors to bid on that specific set of materials and installation instructions. More than half dropped out, more just didn't respond, and a few outright refused to participate. As we concluded later on, many of these contractors make their bones out of one-size fits-all type of roofing - meaning they use the materials they want, stick with their standard installation methods because that's all their crew knows, and likely get better pricing based on volume purchasing of just one kind of material. It was alla very frustrating experience - that is until we met Paul from Westshore Roofing. From the very beginning he sat down and listened to what we wanted. He was more than willing to put down into writing each and every detail that we wanted. Best of all - his installation crew actually did exactly what we agreed to. One unusual request we had was to remove all of the skip sheathing and install radiant barrier underneath the plywood decking. Most other contractors either didn't understand why this is very effective to do, or they just plain didn't want to do it because they didn't know how to price it out. Again, Westshore came to the rescue. Not only did they know what we wanted and why, but they also did an outstanding job installing it exactly as we wanted.The most surprising part of all this is the quoted price was in line with the few others we received. I can only hope that someday I can buy another house and have Westshore replace the roof on it! Lastly, I must say that I have no connection with Westshore nor have I in any way been compensated for wrting this review. I rarely write glowing reviews (OK, I almost never write glowing reviews). This is the obvious exception and well deserved. Westshore is the best.

We dealt with Steve from Westshore. He was very courteous and we kept in touch by either phone and/or e-mail. The roofing was done promptly and also he informed us of other underlying problems that showed up as they worked on the roof. They repaired those for us also. Overall they did a great job. We just had a big rainstorm and the roof had no problems at all. Pricing is always high no matter what you do to upkeep a home. We compared the different prices and they are very close. I just figure that now days you pay for what you get. I have seen where you might save a little money now it will cost you more later. They did a wonderful job and I would recommend them doing any Flat Type roof.

The service was good overall. There were no issues with the scheduling, and they were very professional. They got the job done quickly and it was well done!

Completely hassel free. Steve was super professional. All the workers were punctual and cooperative and took initiative to prevent any unforseen problems.

I really liked Paul, the owner, who came out and gave me a lot of great information about the product and the process. I really love the roof, and they did a really good job. They cleaned up the yard pretty well. However during the job, the guy in the office did an absolutely lousy job of communicating with me and as a result I lost a day and a half off of work that I shouldn't have had to take and spent a weekend waiting for the at home when I had other things to do because they told me they would work on the weekend but never showed up. Paul apologized, explaining that they ran into an unexpected high volume of work which impacted their ability to get back to their customers, however it was a great inconvenience to me. I was really upset and it just didn't seem be be a big deal to them.
