As a company, ' Valley Heating' were professional, punctual and quite responsive. Not sure if I had wrong expectations, But I didn't like what I got for $200. Technician put a newspaper in front of vents and tried to vaccum from one duct. I didn't see enough pressure and they don't show sucked dust, so I'm not really sure if it really cleaned anything.It felt quite useless to me. Running furnace for 15 minutes would do same cleaning. If you use your furnace regularly(I hadn't used it since about 15 months), you shouldn't need any cleaning.accum out

I was told to have all the materials available for the electrician. The electrician was excellent and really worked hard for the two hours. I was very impressed with how hard he worked to get the job done in the time allowed.

The technician (Charles) called before arriving, and then appeared within the promised time window. He was courteous and thorough in his inspection of my furnace. He also checked all the vents in the house to make sure the airflow was as it should be. He checked my thermostat also, and much to my surprise, told me the batteries were dead in it. i didn't even know it had batteries! He left me with a pair of new furnace filters also! Very happy with the visit.

Electrician was very professional and replaced an electrical box that has not been installed very well. It stuck out too much from the drywall wall. He was right on time and did a great job.

The service went well. He added some freon to the A/C and gave me some advice for a filter that is custom on my furnace.

This was a difficult problem, he did his best but the solution (marginal connections) took too long. I paid too much.

Electrician was very pleasant. He could have been grouchy about the attic being full of air conditioning apparatus which made his job more difficult. He was not only on time but was actually early.

Good, I will hire them, if their pricing fits in my budget and if it is competitive.

I purchased this service via an Angie'sList Big Deal, at significant savings. Sometimes when you buy a big deal it is just a means of a service company getting in your door so they can get you to spend a bunch more money, so I was a little wary. But, I was very happy overall. I was immediately scheduled with a convenient appointment time when called the point of contact for the company, and the interaction was courteous and friendly. The tech, Richard, called me a couple times before the service call (the day before and the morning of) to confirm. On the day of the appointment, he was punctual (which is VERY important), friendly, and professional. He was obviously very knowledgeable and in addition to performing the furnace and duct inspection/tune-up (which included him climbing under the house and into the attic), he made several recommendations to improve energy efficiency in our home. In short, the work was good, the service was great, and I'd use the company again for other work (if I had a need). Overall it was a good experience.

Lots left to do. Don't know if it's a competitive rate but I expect it is.

He arrived on time, listened carefully to my concerns and explained what was going on as he did the repairs.

First of all, I don't like Angie's website because it asks for too much information. Is there a place that we can rate Angie's List? The second "Big Deal" never happened. Angie's List dropped the ball, yet, they keep asking for a review. The service I received for the 1st "Big Deal" was great and would like Valley Heating to perform more services.

They were very professional, and careful to keep my home clean. I was very pleased with their work.

Really nice guy to chat with; super quality work; he really went out of his way to accommodate my needs including my preferred greenhouse location for the outlets which made the job especially difficult for him but turned out PERFECT. The outdoor lights are working great. The bad light switch is a bigger problem and he really did a fantastic job in making the situation safe for us until I reschedule him for a return visit. Great work and I'm an extremely happy customer!

Friendly and always try to get the job done within the time frame allotted. They tidy up after themselves and try to keep the work area neat.

It went great. I have no complaints and would use them again.

Prompt and efficient. The service was explained thoroughly including what would not be done. Clean up was efficient and they were on time.

The service person was helpful in explaining his maintenance procedures to me as he performed them, giving a novice a clear understanding of all that is involved in such a check-up.

It went and is going terrible. The pre-paid contract was to troublle-shoot and fix one electrical problem. The technician could not fix the problem in the hour allocated to him for the service call. He told me to call the office. I have caled the office and sent e-mails at least a dozen times asking what their intentions are relative to completing the job they contracted for. They always promised to have a manager return my call, but nobody ever calls. It has been over a year and the problem is still their and they still have not completed the job. UPDATE: As a result of the bad rateing on Angie's list, the Manager finally called and asked if he could personally come and see the problem was fixed to my satisfaction. He and the technician were stumped by the problem as they were a year before. After much testing, they finally concluded that the wire was broken in the wall and did not know where in the wall. In the end, they ran a new wire from another outlet and paralleled it with the dead outlet. That in itself was a rough job because of the distance and the wall paper that we did not want damaged. The Manager vaguely remembered the year old problem, but claimed he never received my e-mails or telephone messages and forgot to follow up. The technician clearly remembered the problem. Both the Manager and technician strove very hard to make up for the delay and mishandling of the situation. They were very friendly and polite. The company obviosly lost hundreds of dollars on the job as a result of the unusual and unexpected difficulty of the problem on this pre-paid fixed price contract. However, they fixed it without complaint or recriminations when I chose to have the problem fixed rather then receive a full refund of my payment. I am now completely satisfied!

Nothing to complain about. Vendor called to confirm appointment the day before, showed up on time and did the work I needed. Nothing difficult about what I needed but the Angies list special made me get a real electrician versus some handyman. I'm satisfied.

I've used their service several times and would use them again. I would recommend this company!!!

Three years ago, when my husband and I bought a new mobile home, we had ceiling fans installed in the living room and three bedrooms. Unfortunately, the fan in our master bedroom never worked. The men who did the initial installation were sure that the motor was faulty, and the fan manufacturer send a replacement. Because of other problems, we did not ask them back but hired a different handyman. When the motor was installed, by another (non-Angie's list) handyman, the fan still did not work. He was also unable to install and make work, in our functioning living room fan, a remote control device made by the same company as the fan (and therefore presumed to be compatible). (BTW, the fan in the living room and MBR were the same model.) When I saw an offer through Angie's List for two hours of electrician's service, (described as enough time to install a ceiling fan), I thought I would give it another try. After reading the glowing reviews at Angie's List, I was ready to go for it, but my husband was still skeptical. We signed up for the special and contracted for service through Valley Heating and Electrical. At the time I scheduled the service, I was advised by Valley Heating to purchase a replacement fan and have it on hand, so that the electrician's time could be efficiently used (installing a different fan) if it were not possible to repair the original fan. I found Sal to be a pleasant, clean, neat, well-organized and efficient, professional electrician. He communicated well with us, asking what the problem was and what we wanted done. Respecting that we wanted a working fan when he left after two hours, he proposed to take the fan apart and see if he could locate the problem during the first 20 minutes. If he could not find and repair the problem in that amount of time, he would remove the old fan and install the new one we had purchased. This would assure us that we would have a working fan at the end of his time with us. We concurred with the plan. Before beginning work, Sal spread blankets to protect our bed and flooring. After about ten minutes, he asked me to come to the see what he had checked and what he found to be wrong. (The switch for reversing fan blade directions, located between the two pull chains for lights and fan, had been stuck in-between positions for forward and reverse.) It now worked correctly. I was so pleased that he was able to find the problem! I then asked that he change the little light bulbs while the fan was taken apart, (as they are otherwise very hard to access,) which he graciously did. He then installed the remote control, (the $70 remote that the previous handyman could not get going!) and it worked perfectly. Sal took the time to show the functions of the controller first to me, then to my husband. He patiently repeated instructions until both of us understood how to get the dimmer switch to work! Afterward he noticed the wall mount/holder, which I had not given to him at first. He had time, so he installed it, also. All of this was done in under 2 hours! Throughout, Sal was pleasant and approachable. It was comfortable having him in our home. He set up his tools and ladder in a small area, moving the minimum number of things to access the fan. My bed and floors were protected while he worked. When he left, there was not a speck of clean-up to do. These may seem "small potatoes", but having had a variety of workmen in my home, and being the one who usually has to clean up after, I do appreciate it! I highly recommend Sal and will certainly request him the next time we have any electrical work to be done! It is good to know someone (and a company) who can solve problems, provide quality service, and get the job done!
