Valley Heating, Cooling, Electrical and Solar

We hired Valley Heating, Cooling and Electrical through a coupon purchase in Angie's list for two hours of labor. We had three thing to be done - replace a chandelier, a ceiling fan and a bathroom vanity light. Our expectation was that in two hours, the contractor would be able to replace at least two of the three items, but it was not to be. Right off the bat, he informed us that he would not be able to replace the chandelier because it was on a 20-foot ceiling and he didn't have a ladder tall enough for the job. We wish the office had told us about this when we scheduled the appointment. We clearly informed them that one of the jobs would be to replace the chandelier. Next, he worked on the ceiling fan and took about 1 hour and 30 minutes to finish the job. He did a good job and we are happy with the work. He then started working on the bathroom vanity light. He still had 30 minutes left and he had told us that it would take him 20 - 25 minutes to finish the job. However, after he dismantled the old light, he informed us that special framing would be required to install the new light, since the drywall would not withstand the weight. He said he would be able to do the job, but would need additional two hours to finish it at regular labor rate of $120 per hour. We would need to reschedule, since he had other commitments that day. He did not have enough time to put back the old light. Overall, we were not very satisfied with the quantity of work performed. However, we are willing to give them another chance.

Simply the BEST!! From the very beginning, everyone I dealt with at Valley Heating and Electric was pleasant, helpful and professional. They answered my battery of questions in a timely and informative way. Sal was the electrician who did both the estimate and then, weeks later after answering all of my questions, the actual job. He was prompt and courteous when he came out to do the estimate, offering suggestions and advice about the best solution for my needs. When he came back to do the job, he worked quickly and efficiently and got all of my issues resolved in a timely manner. He made sure to clean up when he was done and even though I work from home, I hardly knew he was here working. He did everything I needed promptly and professionally and made no fuss about any little adjustments that I asked for. I wish every company I hired were as efficient as Valley Heating and Electric!!

Because of the configuration of our house and the location of our circuit box, he had to run at least a marathon distance while repeatedly checking out a new circuit we had installed during a remodel. He accomplished this task with efficiency, willingness, and a dazzling smile. I would definitely use his expertise again.

They are very good. They are very professional. They were both very nice, very professional. Prompt, did an excellent job. Highly rated.

hey called me the day before my appointment and the day of to confirm when he would arrive. He asked me to show him what needed done and got right to the job as he said I was scheduled for 2 hours and he wanted to get the most use for me out of my time. I truly appreciated that. He was very up front about the work I needed done and explained everything in detail. He was also super fast. He made sure he was able to get as much as he could done in the time and yet still provide quality work. I was really impressed. I asked him several questions about other things I needed done and he explained everything to me and showed me a sample of what materials I would need to buy if they were to come do the project. I will definitely use them again, I cannot say enough good things about the gentleman who came to do the work. Professional, prompt, communicative and careful

The work ended up taking less time than expected and so we used up less time than we paid for. Sigh. The electrician worked quickly and efficiently.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They didn't find anything they needed to do. They were efficient and I think they were right on time. It was good work. For the price, I think it was a good value for having somebody come out and do the inspection. They were there about an hour which I wouldn't expect that to be for that price.

They ruined my air conditioning, they were supposed to tune it and they left something lose in there and the next summer, the air conditioner wouldn't even work. I had to have another company come out and I had to pay them to fix. They said whoever had looked at it last had left something lose. I kind of felt like they did it on purpose so we would have to call them back, because it was so basic, they wanted to do that and then come back.

There were no additional charges other than the $199. I have no comparisons and it was my first time using them.

The Deal was good. Valley Heating and Electrical was very professional. They even called me after I purchased the Deal to see if I was ready to schedule an appointment. I appreciated that. Everything was great and I was happy with the work.

Sal was great, early to arrive and finished in the two hour time frame quoted. I do have to report a funny thing with installation-- half way through he decided he should read the instructions from the box and discovered a couple pieces were reversed. Why was this funny, guys never want to read instructions. I had pulled the instructions from the box so they would be easy to find. The two hours installation time was great and it would have taken my engineer husband eight hours to install and he would not looked at the instructions either. He also gave me a quote on installing recessed lights in our dark hallway. We will use Valley again, very impressed.

This was done on a 2 hour couipon offer from Angie's list. Initial appt. was re-scheduled due to Valley employee illness. All requested work was done cheerfully; clean up completed. Sal was cooperative, pleasant, thorough. We still saw a breaker glitch the next day, but chalking it up to random power surge.

Our tech, Javier, called in advance and arrived very close to the target window. He was extremely courteous and professional throughout. He was at our home a good two hours and worked solidly throughout to complete the job. He also offered his advice regarding how to fix a poorly fitting seal on the dryer. Highly recommend.

Valley Heating, Cooling and Electrical came out to repair the air conditioner and we seem to be having problems with that so we still have the same issue with it. They fixed it at that time and the problem happened again.

This was an annual tune-up of our HVAC system. The special was quite a lot cheaper than the annual offered by the company that installed the A/C!! The guy was prompt and did the job in no time flat. He was very responsive to my questions!

Professional and courteous. Called ahead to say they would be 1/2 hr late, but worked very quickly/efficiently once they got here, and finished before end of quoted time window.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon for Valley Heating, Cooling and Electrical. They came as scheduled. Everything was fine. They provided a great service, I had no problems. I had a wonderful experience. I was present when they serviced my heater but I was distracted when they serviced my A/C so I really don't know what was done or not done to the outdoor A/C unit. I trust everything was well because they told me that the system required nothing. The technician was very knowledgeable and very professional. The owner of the company, I believe her name is Cindy, has been following up by way of e-mail and wanted to ensure that everything I had asked for was provided and that I have everything I need to make the best decision.

Valley Heating, Cooling and Electrical did a fantastic job. The guy was great. He was very thorough and polite. Their pricing was great, worth every penny. We will need our furnace replaced soon and I will be calling Valley Heating, Cooling and Electrical to do the work.

My experience with them was good. They did all the work that I wanted them to do. I was quite satisfied with their services.

There was initial confusion about which Angie's Deal promotion we were using since we signed up for Electrical work but the email confirmation mentioned HVAC work. An appointment was easily made for a free electrical estimate. The electrician, Sal, arrived promptly and was professional and courteous. We reviewed the needed work (install two outlets and replace a light fixture) and he provided a verbal estimate along with what specific labor he would do. He told us we would receive a written estimate. After one week we had to call the office and ask about the written estimate. It took a few more days to get it, and it was brief and very general and did not include specifics about removal of drywall and replacement and patching. It did, however, state that the company would provide all materials. Afterward, we needed to revise the work being done, and there was confusion again about what specifically the company would provide i.e. they would replace drywall or we needed to replace drywall, they would provide all materials or we needed to provide materials. A second estimate was eventually provided, but it took almost 14 days and I had to email and also call to get it. Again the estimate was brief and very general but did mention the electrician would do "patching." We scheduled the actual service date and Sal arrived promptly and did an excellent job. At the end when he asked for payment, he did not have the second estimate in hand, so he had to call the office to find out what we owed. We are very happy with the work done by Sal, but we would recommend the office provide much more detail in their written estimates so that customers know exactly what labor and materials will be provided.

This was an excellent company. From my initial call, the person who came out to estimate the work and the person who installed the heater everyone was very thorough. The work done was excellent.

Under cabinet fixture in kitchen had stopped working so, the night before I went to the closest Lowe's and purchased a new lighting fixture. I tried to do the same for the bathroom fixture but purchased one that was both defective and of the wrong type. The installer had no trouble with new kitchen light, however, the bathroom light we discovered wasn't of the proper type, so we photographed what we found there and I ran over to the local Orchard Supply while he continued installing the four new room lighting switches. I returned with the closest thing I could find, which turned out to be a perfect match, and the replacement continued without a hitch. We actually had 20 minutes left over of the two hours but had run out of items to fix.

Very professional personnel. Performed services courteously and with minimal disruption. Would definitely recommend. Service date is definitely approximate as review is way overdue.
