It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went fine. We went above and beyond the price of the Big Deal. It was pretty standard.

Valley Heating, Cooling and Electrical is one of the most proffessional outfits that I have worked with in years. They are great on the phone! They call to confirm appointments the day before, and the workmen call to let you know they are on the way the day of the appointment. It is a very class act! When they get there it is all work and no play. Sal the Electrician is a fantastic person with a warm smile and a very good attitude, he works very hard and very efficiently. I think Valley Heat, Cool and Electric is the best value in the Bay Area. I will will count on them from now on. And I do not write many good reviews , Sal Rocks! and Valley should be your first call. Cheers, Dave

The service for the big deal was performed. I had a great experience with this company.

They were very good. They came actually earlier than the appointment time. They did ask ahead of time and that was good. They set it. It looked quite professional, the way they did it. They explained to me how they were going to do it and that I understand what they were trying to do, because on the Big Deal that I bought, it only said "cleaning". It did not describe how they were going to clean it, so there was some expectation gap but I wouldn't say it was an issue. That was maybe because of my own pre-set ideas about how the cleaning should be. I thought the cleaning would include the ducts, but the actual cleaning was just vacuuming. I have a hard time seeing that just the vacuuming is going to clean things well. They did everything good, but I think the method that they're using may not clean as effectively as what I'm looking for.

Everything works fine . The technician was prompt, professional and courteous. Needed to come back another time because he did not have the parts.

It went fine. The technician arrived promptly, removed heating vent covers, vacuumed them out, then replaced them, covered vents with newspaper to get more suction, used a vacuumed that covered each vent and he suctioned dirt out. Seemed fine. As it has been pretty warm, we have not yet used our heater to confirm it is clean enough, but no reason to think otherwise. Seems like a good company, and the technician was personable and efficient. With the Angie's list coupon it was a great price.

They were on time, professional, neat and courteous. Went the extra mile by taking out my old filter element and housing and building a new one to fit my central unit.

Team arrived ahead of time, they were curtious, neat and kept everything clean. Explained what they were going to do and how long it would take.

They called and verified date & times. Arrived when they were supposed to and wore shoe booties every time they entered the house. Asked permission to move a big couch in the family room to access the ceiling vent which became the main vent to suck all the dirt from the other vents. They explained in detail before they started the whole procedure and what it took to clean and sanitize all vents. They were very professional and courteous. I was very pleased with this company and their two servicemen. Would recommend them.

The work went smoothly and quickly. I didn't have enough work to fill the whole two hours that I purchased.

They were great. Their attitude was good, they were quick, and very thorough. They were right on time and followed up when they said they would.

On time, pleasant, patient. and highly productive. We bought a 2-hour deal from Angie's ($119) but then worked him for 2 more hours at a higher rate ($240) for a total bill of $359.

I got a call to have my vents cleaned. That is NOT what I purchased ! This is a miscommunication between Angies's list and the supplier. I allowed myself to get scammed. I was MY fault, I paid someone a lot of $$ that I did NOT authorize and that was a costly lesson. I my be old but I am still learning. I would like to get my money back from this event and whatever else I am out. I DO NOT WANT MY VENTS CLEANED EVEEN FOR TREE. I DON'T WANT SOMEONE TO TELL ME THAT THEY ARE GOING TO CLEAN MY DRYER FOR FREE. NOTHING IS FREE THIS LESSON IS COSTLY

As usual, the electrician arrived on time and very courteously set to work to figure out what was causing the failing outlets. He was systematic in his analysis, and resolved our problem in short order. I have used this electrical service in the past, and will continue to use them for all my electrical needs.

I purchased an Angie's Big Deal in Sept/Oct 2012. Do to Scheduling issue I had to reschedule several times but this company was easy to work with and schedule. I live in a condo complex which I told them early on but didn't realize how tall their trucks were until one of the scheduled appointments took place so they couldn't park in the garage that would have been close to my unit. One truck didn't have a long enough compressor hose so the actually duct cleaning was rescheduled. The Heater and air conditioning were serviced and work well. The second scheduled appointment when two trucks could be present went like clockwork. The heater and the duct work were blown out successfully. The two techs were professional and worked well together. They protected my carpet from the large hose and even cleaned up the carpet around each register although the detritus was there before they arrived. The only con was that I didn't read the "Angie's Big Deal" as closely as I should have as the dryer vent cleaning wasn't part of the service. This was my fault and not theirs, so read carefully. Suggestion: If you live in a complex have them visit your complex first before scheduling an appointment so if multiple trucks need to be present this will be scheduled ahead of time. Thanks!

Used Angie's big deal...$119 for 2 hours of electrical services. Replaced bathroom fan, did a great job. Had some time left over, so he also replaced a wall outlet. I wanted to have all of the wall outlets replaced in the bathroom, which he could do for $119 per hour. However, I didn't think I had 1 hours worth of work, so I did not proceed. Overall very happy with the work that was done.

I couldn't have asked for more. Although I purchased "the Big Deal" in April, coordinating our schedules pushed the service date into July, which created no hardship for me. On July 10th I received a reminder call, and this morning received a call from Sal, the technician, who advised me of his arrival time. He arrived ahead of schedule, took a look at what needed doing, offered his opinion on a question I had, and went to work. He was efficient, professional, accommodating, and personable. I couldn't have asked more in a service provider. As it turned out, I had friends over who were helping me with another matter, and they recognized Sal as the same technician who installed their "new install" living area ceiling fan. They had told me how pleased they were with the service, and I could only hope my experience would be similar. It was! I have had some terrible experiences with contractors, but this was one of the nicest service experiences I've had. If all of the providers of Valley Heating, Cooling, Electrical are as good as Sal, that would be impressive indeed! I would not hesitate to recommend this company and will certainly consider their services when the time comes to replace my 41-year-old furnace!

I purchased two Angie's List Big Deals for several services. They were good and nice. I am not sure if he blew the fuse for the hot tub or not. He was very responsive and tried to help any way he could.

I was moderately pleased and satisfied with them. There were just a few issues with them though.Customer service was fine. It was easy to make an appointment and they showed up when they were expected to. The problem that I had was they had to replace a part of the filter and they didn't ask me which one it was, they kind of took the wrong side and just folded it over. I actually had extra filters so I thought that was kind of weird. The staff was flexible and all of the other stuff went pretty well.

Overall I really liked the service and worked performed by Valley Heating and Cooling. However when it came to billing they Charged me an extra $20. I felt that the advertised cost of $50 for one hour worth of electrical work would have coverd everything. The additional cost was not explained to me or advertised on the advertisment.

The technician performed a thorough inspection, checking the ducts under the house, measuring current flows, measuring temperatures at the vents, cleaning dust from the electronics in the main unit, cleaning the condensation drain, checking the burners for proper operation and gas/air mixture, checking coolant levels, and cleaning the ducts (both intake and vents), and checking the filters. The service was very detailed and complete. The technician was well trained and knowledgeable. I especially appreciated his willingness to seek advice from another tech when he experienced a situation unique to our installation rather than just trying to wing it. He took steps of protect our property from any possible damage from his equipment or his service efforts and he left his work areas clean. The technician (Javier) was professional, personable,and helpful, more than willing to answer questions and provide useful advice. He quickly and efficiently moved from one task to another but did not gloss over any item. He was an excellent representative of his company. The price was quite reasonable--Angie's List coupon--especially considering the time spent and the extensive level of service provided.

The installer was on time, courteous and excellent at installing 3 chandeliers. The first chandelier was over the dining room table, not a biggie. The second was in the foyer. I have cathedral ceilings, so going up 18 feet without an issue was pretty amazing. The third chandelier was half way up a staircase with a vaulted ceiling. Easily 20 feet and the only way to get there is to use a scaffold positioned at the top of the stairs. I don't know how he did it without a scaffold, but he did it without complaining. All 3 were done within the time allotted in the coupon. I'm moving up to the Sacramento area, and would love to take this company with me. They are that good.
