Technician was extremely punctual and cordial and peformed the maintenance check in quick order. These units had not been serviced in a number of years and I was concerned for health and safety reasons. All checked out okay and I was so impressed with the Technician that I plan to use this company in the future for my heating and / or cooling needs.

Absolutely Great service and fantastic customer interaction! I would use them again in a heartbeat! The offer is great when is for time rather than for cost per. I've used another service provider that cost me more than double for the same work because the offer was for cost per instead of a block of time. This guy was fast, efficient and very pleasant.

Per above, did not end up using them. I don't begrudge them, just a misalignment in needs and a bit of ambiguity in the offer. Their initial response was fast, and they were up front about not being able to do the work I wanted, so solid points for that. The scheduling window they were offering was a long way in the future, but I suspect that's the catch-22 of any attractive offer, going to have high subscription, slow fulfillment. So again, I don't hold it against them. I now stay away from the AL 'deals', unless its something I really don't mind waiting indefinitely for. As to Valley H/C/E, I'd say they seemed professional and up front, worth considering for more 'standard' electrical work.

I bought the duct cleaning coupon for $189 and used it right before the X'mas 2013. It was hard to schedule it originally but the staff was helpful to schedule me in 2 week's time. The crew was 30 minutes late for the appointment but did call me beforehand so it is fair. I was not too happy with the service originally because the pet hair from the last owner was still coming out from the vents after a week. I called them and had them come over again. Turned out most of the ducts have moved after all these years so they helped me taped the ducts to the right place. The second trip did not cost me anything and the crew have been very professional the whole time. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I used Angies List to search for multiple vendors to quote my project. Valley is well used with many positive and favorable reviews so they naturally made my list. It was pretty easy to get an appointment for someone to come out and quote the job. That said, I wasn't so impressed with the sales person and felt they were not all that personable but they did leave me the information I needed. In following up with the sales person, they were not easy to reach and did not reply to my inquiries in a timely manner. Based on my early feelings I was hoping another vendor would be a better fit. I did receive an additional quote from a competing vendor which was a little higher and did not include the opportunity to do the CA energy assessment which Valley offered. Turns out that Valley is one of very few contractors in the area who are affliated with this program. Since I was making such a large investment with a new heater, additional air conditioning and all new duct work I felt this would be of good value and could significantly help offset some of the cost. This was the primary reason I selected Valley for the job, it was certainly not based on my experience with their sales person. The work took one week to dismantle the old heater and duct work and install the new. There was a slight setback in adding the additional insulation as promised with the job since the machine broke just as they were starting. Valley did not have another machine nor did they rent one to finish the job. This resulted in a delay of 1 week to complete adding the insulation. Given the volume of work that Valley has I was surprised that they had only one machine to handle insulation. Since this made it very inconvenient for me with the scheduling I do recommend they make some improvement in this regard. I've also completed the energy assesment and made very good improvements on enery efficiency with the new HVAC install. I don't yet know what my rebate will be but it is estimated at 2.5 - 3K. Valley is scheduled to complete this entire HVAC job on June 18th with the installation of the air conditioning unit. Overall I am quite satisfied with the work that was done by their staff and feel the quality of the work is quite good. I will report back again after the installation of the air conditioning and of course the status of the permit review.

Original appointment was scheduled for between 9-11am on a Friday. Received a phone call from the technician at 9:30am to let me know he was en route. Technician arrive around 10am. I quickly described the problem - AC was not producing much cold air. I pointed him to the furnace and compressor. He worked for about 45 minutes, leaving just before 11am. He had verified that the temperature coming out of the ducts was at 49 degrees.

The provider showed up early and went straight to work. He was very professional and did everything on the checklist including fixing an air duct cover which was not fitting properly. He was very thorough, and was very experienced. He gave me suggestions on how to get the upstairs to be cooler and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future.

they were very nice but I did not like the up sell for service limited service checks

The overall service went quite well. The initial estimate and pricing was quite competitive with the other prices I got from other providers. Valley heating has a strong background and an extensive portfolio of clients that they have helped with in jobs of varying complexities. I liked their professionalism and honest estimate with no fluff. The team that came to do the job was very professional and courteous. However the way the company works sometimes introduces issues. For e.g. they have a separate sales team which is completely different than the team that does the job. Ofcourse this is how large companies work, but the sales person ended up promising me a couple of things that he did not write down on the paper and the guys on the job refused to do that. They did promise to 'talk about it' but I had to spend almost an hour trying to call up the sales guy who wouldn't pick up my call. At the end, I just did those additional things myself but would've liked for them to do what the sales person had promised. In summary, as long as you get everything you want to get done on paper with them, they are very good at what they do and would recommend them.

We had a good experience. They did the work that was requested. They were there on time when they said they were gonna be.

Valley Heating service tech was on time and did a excellent job.

They came as promised, worked efficiently and checked every component, not just the faulty ones. They replaced air filters and ensured all in good working order. The knowledge of the repairman was excellent and he worked quickly but thoroughly.

The service worked out well enough. There was a problem because the man accidentally turned off the reception in my guest room television. I had to have a friend come over and fix it. His work was adequate. I was not sure what to expect, but he was polite and efficient. They did not charge me more than the $119 Big Deal. I do not know if I am going to use them again. I did not feel any particular rapport with this person so I might or I might not.

It was a great deal. The person was very nice and explained everything well.

It went great. Had no problem making an appointment. Technician showed up on time and had called ahead. He checked my air conditioner, including the vents. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Installer actually arrived early. I was told to have the plug to be installed, which not knowing, I purchased the wrong one. He had one with him and I would say, they should just include that in their price.

It went well. I was happy at the time. They were responsive and came out quickly. He was efficient. I think there was a problem later so there was some question about not replacing the circuit board because we had to replace it.

The Technician was on time and professional. Let us know how our AC was doing and how to read the PG&E Smart Meter that is attached. Saved us a lot of worry.

I chose Valley Heating, Cooling, and Electrical due to the number of outstanding reviews on Angie's List -- and they deserve them! This is an excellent company. They are totally responsive and professional. I purchased an Angie's List promo. I was contacted almost immediately by Valley to set-up an appointment. They gave me a reminder call. On the day of the appt, the technician called to tell me he was on his way. Bill was friendly and courteous. Most importantly, he was very knowledgeable. He did a thorough job checking out/cleaning the furnace and A/C units. I thought our A/C wasn't working and he was able to quickly figure out the problem. Even better, he was able to give me the $150 fix that should give my A/C a few more years functionality. I felt like he was being very honest with me. We discussed the age of the unit and when we should expect to replace it. Again, they totally deserve their A rating!

When we purchased the seal they were not able to honor the deal when we needed it. We have kept the coupon to see if we can use it later. We have used them over the last couple years for heating and cooling in the past, however. They have done great work for us. They show up on time and have no complaints on the work they have done. Scheduling is typically easy, but we did have an issue scheduling the deal service.
