Valley Heating, Cooling, Electrical and Solar

We were about to move into our home when last minute I decided we needed the ducts cleaned, since we had just refinished the hardwood floors, had some drywall work done, and the previous owners had 3 small dogs. Looked online at a few places and Valley Heating had a basic vacuuming service available, compared to some of the other maintenance type of packages offered by other companies. They are also Diamond Certified, so I felt more comfortable with using them. I called and scheduled an appointment for the next day at 2PM with Al. He did all work as described and took the time to explain everything to me. All in all, I was happy with the service. Al tested the system and was very careful with his equipment not to damage the floors. Just a few minor negatives: (1) they quoted me $159 on the phone, but charged me $169, (2) scheduled for 2PM, but showed up early at 12:15, (3) service says they give you a new filter, Al just installed one of the clean spares that the old home owner left.

The people here were very nice and they are just great. The system is going to be huge and a lot of work would be involved. They would even have to bring in a crane to get the air conditioner on the roof. They are very nice people because when they were here they even told us about the $250 ad that was in the paper. We did not know of that and we will be able to use it if deciding to go with them. The installation would cost $7,000. My cat even liked the guy and she is not very friendly at all.

This was just a pleasant experience. Nothing went wrong. The guy showed up on time and was very easy to work with.

Three weeks went by without a word from the company. There were no voice mails, e-mails, nothing. I finally called them to find out status of estimate. The phone receptionist went to ask someone and came back saying that the company could not support doing the job, it was too big and beyond their resources. Therefore they were not going to bid. I thanked them for not calling me and I asked for the the plans back; she said they had thrown them away. This whole response of theirs doesn't make sense, but I guess that's how they do business.

The people from Valley Heating were very nice and worked well together. They got rid of all the nasty old ducts for me, as well. I felt they were honest and hard working and would recommend them to others in the area.

We received bids on this work from multiple companies and decided to hire Valley Heating and Cooling because they came highly recommended by friends, and because the salesman was honest with us in his bid. By 'honest' I mean that he gave us a price quote based on the furnace efficiency we were required to have to satisfy Title 24 energy efficiency requirements (95% efficiency was required). The salesman also discussed price versus efficiency and energy costs for air conditioning with us, leading us to choose highly energy efficient air conditioners. (Another company had given us a 'dishonest' bid, which was lower, but included 80% efficient equipment, which we could not use.) Valley Heating and Cooling's salesman, installation supervisor, and installer were all very nice to work with, and we ended seeing the installer over the course of many days as he worked at our home. The installer knew his job very very well, and we are happy with the work performed by VH and C.

Overall I was satisfied with the work except the initial price discrepancy for the service and also their requirement for the client to pay for the 2nd truck.

The technician Al was very prompt and arrived about 10 minutes into my time window (2 PM - 4 PM). The work was done very efficiently and Al was very polite and careful while moving the equipment around the house. Al noted the bad condition of the very old heater and set up an appointment for a free estimate for a replacement unit for the next week. I noticed some lint on the carpet after the work was done. I missed it when the work was completed and I will give the technician the benefit of the doubt and assume that he did too. All the vents were cleaned and the heater enclosure was also blown clean of dust, which was also vacuumed off.

I liked it that they called once a year to remind us, and that they kept watch on the furnace without pushing a sale. When the time was right and we had the money, we replaced the furnace, and they did an excellent job.

Installers did a great job with the a/c and all the new connections in my attic and my backyard. They came back on time to install the right thermostat. They left some cables not well secured, but in general it was good.

The representative (Mike) was on time and fixed the problem promptly. I had gotten an estimate previously from another company who told me that I had to replace the entire condenser unit for $3000. But these guys found a way to fix the condenser instead of replacing it. That saved me about $2500! I appreciate their honesty.

Very professional; came on time; polite; reasonable price

Am very very pleased. The company is responsive and easy to do business with. Work was done promptly and employees were always on time and neat. We received bids from three firms, and Valley was the most knowledgeable and confident. They were also the only firm who obtains building permits on a ''business as usual'' basis (building permits required in Los Gatos). Their price wasn't the lowest, but quality of staff and professional behavior are important to us.

I thought they were very pleasant, honest, and professional. They did a very good job, and I was pleased with their manners. They were very nice. I liked them because they were up-front with me, didn't try to sell me anything, and they gave me a good price. I would recommend them highly as I feel they are a good company.

The company did the work last year; I have had ten years of experience with them. They come to my home every two years and service my furnace and clean the ducts. They also replace the air filter. I have had a good experience with them. They always show up on time which I appreciate.

My experience with this company was pretty good. The furnace works nice and for the most part they do a good job. They are timely and punctual. They are very clean and courteous.

They installed a new gas furnace for me that I didn't need. They didn't check the furnace line. It was just a clogged up gas line. After they installed the furnace it wasn't working so when they came back out they found out it was a clogged gas line. It was one expensive clogged gas line.

I've been using them for years. They are an excellent company. Last year when they came by and tuned up the furnace he thought I needed a new heater. But then, he checked and said I don't need one. That was very honest. I would surely recommend them.

They are a real good company. They are dependable and they show up on time. They will call ahead of time before they come out. They service the furnace and air conditioner real good. They are thorough and I would recommend them to anyone.

I was satisfied with this company in general. There were some things I didn't like. For example, there were some switches that were messed with that shouldn't have been. I didn't get the best service guy, but the work was done good. I think they do a good service, but some of their workers could be better. I'm not sure about the price, since my husband dealt with him.

They were fine and they were professional. They were on time, but there was a small problem. We live in a condo and they wanted to put them in separate because it cost more money. I said no, I want them put in together. They finally agreed.

I had a very good overall experience with this company. The company is very respectable and the furnace was very clean. They brought their own crew. They worked very well together, were very respectable looking and were also very nice. I was happy with the quality of work from this company.

They are a very reputable company. They are professional & they showed up on time. They did a really good job & the service department is helpful & kind. I would recommend them to anyone.

This company comes, cleans my furnace, & puts a new filter in annually. I am pretty satisfied with this company. They did install the original furnace. They did a great job on that, & now every year they stop in to service it & change the filter.

They were ok. I called them and asked them to come out and service my furnace again. They didn't come out, so I changed my mind. The last time they serviced it was a year ago. They charged me 70 and now the price is 89.
