Valley Heating is great. Our furnace stopped blowing hot air one morning and they were able to send out a technician the next day. They provided a 4 hour window and the tech arrived promptly at the start of that window. He wore booties every time he was in the house (not that we care), was extremely friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. He clearly explained the problem, and what he would do to fix it. While the issue itself wasn't too severe, the tech was very thorough in examining the whole furnace for any additional cracks / problems, using a high-end camera. The price was quite reasonable and the work was done in under 45 minutes.

I used "Big Deal" coupon to get my furnace inspected. It's 20+ years old and hadn't been checked in several years. The technician was prompt and professional and told me what I suspected - unit is serviceable but should be replaced in the next 12 months. He scheduled an estimator to come out and give me a price. The estimator came a week later, took a look and confirmed the technicians assessment. I gave him my email address and he said he'd have an estimate to me within a week. It's now two months later and I still haven't seen that estimate. My grading in the "Responsiveness" category is due to his lack of providing an estimate. I'd still use the company based on my experience with the technician.

The work went very well. We had enough time left over to ground two outlets as well. Was very friendly and punctual. We plan to use them again soon for some outdoor lighting and utility power. Excellent job. I highly recommend them!

They got everything working well. I was pleased with their work.

Their price was a little high. They weren't prepared for the size of my home. They had to send a few different guys out. The last guy was more knowledgeable as the first guy didn't know what he was doing.

Valley Heating and Cooling is a great outfit. Great office coordination of services, able to get the service scheduled quickly and with expert staff. When they arrived they were on time, very professional, fast, efficient, and best yet they even took the time to clean up at the end. The service technician took the time to walk me through the work. End to end it was an excellent experience and I would recommend them again.

This was an Angie's List deal for 2 hours of electrical work. The lantern on my mailbox-lamppost hadn't worked for years, and I wanted to get it working and install a new fixture. Valley Heating, Cooling & Electric called me to set up the appointment. Just before the appointment, my electric clothes-dryer stopped working, and we determined there was a problem with the 220V power. Good (?) timing! Sal, the electrician, diagnosed and fixed the 220V problem within 15 minutes. Then he checked the circuit to the mailbox light, pulled new wires from the (outside) junction box, and determined that the problem was at the light switch. So, he replaced the switch, installed the new lantern fixture and voila! we have a mailbox light! We still had some time on our 2-hour deal, so Sal says, "what's next"? I had a couple of dimmer switches I wanted to install on 3-way circuits. No problem, Sal did that too. He went just a bit over the pre-purchased time of two hours, so I paid a small additional fee. This was a superior service. Sal was really pleasant, and worked really hard. I couldn't believe how much he accomplished in two hours. Everything is now working great, and he left everything clean and tidy...hmm, what more could you ask for?

Did a basic diagnostics on an intermittent problem with the heater turning on. Did a couple of quick repairs all within an hour and it alla fell into the diagnostics fee. Great Service

The electrician arrived on time even though I live up a steep winding road from Highway 17. He was polite and responsive to all my questions. I described each job and prioritized them in case one or more proved to be complex and therefore took more than expected time. He evaluated what I wanted to accomplish against the supplies I had purchased and ensured that I understood the way each option functions so I could make the best choice for my needs. He started on the highest priority task - the stairway light - and moved to other tasks while he and I turned it on and off and left it on for periods of time to see if it was really fixed. He also worked between the laundry room and guest room to give time to see if the interval between leaving the room and light turning off was what I wanted. I had wanted a motion sensor installed in the den but there was inadequate clearance to do it without it sticking out from the wall. He showed me the challenge and I decided to not have it installed. He did not leave until he and I felt that I understood how the sensors worked and I could change the interval. He got everything done and everything cleaned up in 1 hour and 55 minutes - the estimate was for 2 hours. I will definitely use this company again. It was a very good experience with great results.

someone called the day before to confirm the time of the service appointment; on the day of the service, the technician called to say he would be a little late; the window I was given was 1-5pm; he arrived around 5:30pm; he noticed that the panels on the furnace were reversed, and not allowing the furnace to breathe properly; he inspected the fan unit and determined that a blade on the fan was warped; he bent the fan blade so it no longer clanged or rubbed on the housing; he recommended that we monitor the unit and if the noise returned, we should replace it; if this work was done within 30 days we would not be charged for a service call again ($120/hour); overall I was satisfied with the service I am giving them an A on price just to be fair, but I did not compare hourly rates between companies

-Bought the duct-cleaning from an Angie's List Big Deal. Had to contact the company three times to schedule an appointment. -Was told it would be a two-hour visit ($100 / hour). Technician arrived 45 minutes late; he called half-way through the wait to inform he was on his way. Total service time ended up being around 90 minutes. -Technician was very courteous and efficient. It's not clear what he accomplished, though. We were not shown the material removed from the ducts. Performance of our heating system since the cleaning is unchanged. Overall: We had chosen to perform the service as a preventative measure rather than to fix a problem, so perhaps we lacked a reference point for assessing the results..

They were good. Their price was good. They were on time. I would use them again in the future if need be.

It's not a deal -- i purchased 2 hours for $139 and 2 days later the price decreased to $119 -- hired them to install 2 new outlets -- then the guy took 2 hours to install 1 new outlet 4 feet from the circuit breaker box -- said he had to install a new circuit breaker for that one outlet?? When the 2 hours were up, it took 15 minutes to install the 2nd new outlet which was directly on the other side of the wall from an existing outlet. Then, no electricity -- he was sure it was a GFI but there wasn't one in the room -- He was going to charge an additional 2 hours at regular price after he paced around trying to figure out what happened -- then he offered to return on Saturday to figure out the problem because he had to go to his next appointment. I called the company, mentioned the price decrease and they didn't offer to honor the price then said they would get back to me about fixing the problem -- i found the GFI 2 hours later behind the microwave (on the other side of the wall from the new outlet). I shouldn't have had to pay extra to figure out what the electrician should have figured out easily. It wasn't a deal, i paid extra, and it seems like the deal was really a hook. I'm canceling the dryer vent cleaning - figuring the deal for that will turn into a much greater cost.

See above - Everything was done in a very timely and fast manner - Very punctual arrival time and worked with diligence. Sal worked on the above from the time he arrived till he was finished - I was very impressed. I must say that I have been very skeptical of people that have done work at my house - many times I haven't been happy - BUT in this case, I was extremely pleased. My garage lighting hadn't worked in years - and I didn't want to repair the old 8 foot fixtures because they were a real pain to try to replace - and believe me I am thrilled with the new 4' light fixtures. I finally have the lighting in my garage that we so badly needed. Also, the other projects above are great to have done. The price to get all this done was more than fair! Be sure to have the items available for your work to be done - that will save you money! Note: I have waited several months before filing this report - so you know that 3 months later I am still very pleased with this work.

Highly professional from back office scheduling and including the service technician. Arrived on time, explained the service, answered my questions and gave me tips to keep the system running. Overall excellent experience. I will use the company again.

Electrician (Sal) arrived on time - in fact he arrived at the beginning of the two hour window I was given. Service was professional and friendly. Excellent! Highly recommend Valley for electrical service or repairs.

They were responsive with getting an appointment scheduled, but their availability was limited, so it took a week for them to come to our house. We were willing to wait because of all the good reviews. They gave us a 2-3 hours (can't remember) time window for the apt as opposed to an actual time. We are busy people, so I wish they could give you an actual time or a 30min or 1hr window. The day of the appointment, they arrived later than I was expecting but they were professional and quickly diagnosed the problem. They gave us a quote for the repair and estimated time for completion of the project. They seemed knowledgeable and trustworthy, but not on the cheap end of the spectrum, but we rather pay a bit more for a company that goes the extra mile. In summary, we had a good experience and would use them again.

1 A/C unit was not performing very well. Also wanted a checkout of other A/C unit. Excellent job and when added costs went beyond the "big deal" price, costs were reasonable. A/C was back and running the same day. Job was done on time, with good quality, and site left clean. thanks!

Very impressed with overall service and quality. I used the coupon from Angies list for this service, and within a couple of days the company pro-actively called me to schedule an appointment. Steve was the technician, and he called ahead of time and arrived early. He was probably the most professional service provider that I've dealt with: courteous, efficient and respectful of the house. He performed the tune-up, gave me written feedback and was on his way. I would absolutely use this company again.

After getting past the initial frustration due to a misunderstanding, Valley Heating stepped up to the plate with humility and honesty to ensure that we were fully satisfied with the amount paid and with the work done. The work was completed to our total satisfaction. Homero went above and beyond what we expected with his meticulous attention to detail. The furnaces look and act like new. He fully explained what had been done to clean and tune them both up. I am personally impressed with the company's customer service and with their employees. Honestly, we could not be happier with this company and the work they did. Mike, thank you for everything you did to make this right. You turned a bad situation into a win-win for us all!

The person who came was very nice, professional, listened to what I explained carefully and asked good questions like, priorities, height of the fixture, etc...He was very efficient and achieved way more that I was hoping for.
