Steve was in a word, AWESOME. He was punctual, courteous, knowledgeable, he went above and beyond to check out our system and tell us what's going on with the zone heating system. He investigated the furnace, A/C, ducting, venting, and fixed a mis-installed vent, climbed up the ladder to the high vents and attic spaces to check the ducting was sound. He took the time to give me a detailed report and answer my questions, and advice how to maximize the heat. What a work ethic! I couldn't have asked for better service or technical advice. Oh, and that booster fan recommended by the other hvac company at the cost of $1300? Steve informed me that's completely unnecessary and actually works against our goal of heating the house in our case. Anytime I have a heating or AC issue, I'll call Valley and ask for Steve by name. Thanks Steve!

They are one of the bigger providers in Bay Area. We have used them once more. They came out just to service.

They quoted me the price like $550, but it turned out to be like $800 something so I don't know what to say about that. It was better than average. I mean the work was did pretty well. It was just the price they charged. They quoted me, you know, when the guy left, he said, 550 bucks and then kind of like, because they had to order parts, and then they changed the price. They charged me so much after they quoted something. Experience was pretty good. Work was a nice job. I'll use them again only if I can get a price before me. I was kind of upset because they charged so much afterwards plus the fact that I asked for a receipt and they were supposed to email me, but I never received one. They could have worked proximal to the cost for one thing, and if they sent me the email of the bill, it would have been a lot better.

Everything was installed on time and in quick order. There was a wiring issue problem that they came out and fixed immediately after it was reported.

They did the check and took care of the problem. They were there and that's what I liked. Price was reasonable.

Basically ok, did not do any cleaning of coils as expected.

It was really good. I would rate them highly, I would give them all “A’s”! I don’t think I would use anybody else!

This company used to take all jobs as the reviews showed the past performance. It was sure when it had not had many businesses. It now has a lot of businesses and it does not want to work if the vent exit is on the roof, which showed it is practicing an unfair business orientation if not mentioning discrimination against people who have the vent exit on the roof. Angie's List please do not continue working with this company. I totally do not recommend it to any body.

I don't know if it's fixed. They installed the system, a year and half later it stopped working. They came by, decided that it needed recharged, they did that and it worked for another year and half. Then they came back out and blamed it on the previous repairman not doing it quite right, so I won't know for a year and half. They didn't charge me for either repair, which they shouldn't have, but they did threaten to charge me for it next time.

Went very well. The technician came as scheduled, performed the service, told us our unit was in in good condition and that was it.

I liked that I got a phone call approximately 45 minutes ahead of when the technician would arrive and he arrived during our scheduled window of time. I also liked that he put his shoe covers on when inside the house and took them off when outside. This attention to detail shows he takes the extra step to please homeowners. Everything went well and all areas were left clean.

They showed up on time and did a thorough job of evaluating our needs. Their quote was clear and explained well.

The visit went very well. The technician was prompt, and very personable and helpful. He not only took care of the air conditioning, he also checked the furnace and the register, and advised me regarding what to look for in case of future troubleshooting. I was very happy with his service. Will use this company again in the future.

Mr. Rob Minor, the sales agent, came to our house to take a look at the current system. He turned out to be very informed on technical matters as well. He gave a proposal with all the necessary details of costs involved. After I accepted the proposal, four installation technicians came to the house and installed the system in 7 hours. They did a very professional job

They made me feel they were competent. My heater worked after that.

The serviceman came right on time. He cleaned my A/C and checked to make sure there weren't openings that critters could get in. He noticed that the pad it was on had become tilted due to ground settling and I noticed it too before he even said so. Then he changed my furnace filters, all four of them, and showed me how to access them and what kind and size to get. He knew exactly what he was doing and did it well and quickly. He recommended that I get my air ducts cleaned more often due to dust buildup. He wiped down the furnace and cabinet inside to get rid of dust. He was respectful and didn't leave a mess.

My mother's house had air conditioning that was improperly installed so it wasn't really cooling anything but the bill was still running pretty high. So basically there was a leak in the duct. I would use them again for air conditioning.

They have been around for long. They have been pretty good. I like the technician, whoever they sent out. The last time I think he worked hard to figure out the problem and he really stuck with it the other ones are okay. The previous one, I guess years ago. I would say eight years ago was possibly calling the home office to figure out what was going on. Probably just not experienced enough.

What had happened was, at my mother's house we had an air conditioning installed and it wasn't properly installed. So it wasn't really cooling anything, but the bills were still running pretty high. There was a leak in the duct.

I was thrilled with the work that Sal did for me and I planned to ask Valley Heating, Cooling and Electric to do additional work for me. Just 2 weeks later my washer, dryer and water heater suddenly lost power. Checked the breakers...no problem there...and that was as far as I could go without help. I knew this was unrelated to the work Sal had done but I thought I needed a professional electrician PDQ. So I called Valley Heating, Cooling and Electric. I was told to call Sears or another appliance sales/service company. Didn't make much sense (3 appliances at once??) so I called someone else. It turned out that I had a serious problem with my 40-year old FPE Stab-Lok Electrical Panel...a known latent fire hazard about which I was totally unaware. Google it if you want more info about the history of the Stab-Lok panel. I had a great deal of confidence in Sal, but I was VERY disappointed with overall service from Valley Heating, Cooling and Electric. I won't be using them again. Ever. Sorry, Sal. You did what I asked you to do and you were awesome.

The work was don efficiently and quickly. They cleaned out the heater and the gave advice about the filter cleaning.

They were just perfect. The first meeting to discuss our needs , to the estimate ,and scheduling of the work. The team Jimmy and Jesse were very professional. Answered all my questions , that i could understand. It was two days of work, and they were excellent workers! There manager was very helpful also, giving direction when they hit a snag in the installation. The clean-up was complete.And they went over the controls and other paperwork before leaving. I have always heard great things about this company, and was not disappointed!

All of the folks at Valley Heating were friendly, punctual and professional. They contacted me immediately to set up a convenient time and left me a voice mail reminder two days in advance. They also phoned 30 minutes before the electrician arrived. The electrician, Sal, was terrific. He brought all the right tools and as well as drop cloths to protect my home. He explained everything that he did and answered all of my questions. He was so efficient I almost ran out of things for him to do! I had a very positive experiences and would definitely hire these folks again.
