The Tree Specialist came out right away when I called with a concern over a tree with fungus, looking like it was going to fall over in the near future. They agreed that it was unsafe and were able to fit me in for removal within a few days. At the last minute, I asked if they could also remove a tree in my front yard (a tree that required too much water so I needed it moved for my eco-friendly landscaping) and that were able to do that for me. Very professional and did a great job with the aftermath clean-up.

Requested quote which was received but the overall scope of project was not big enough for vendor to complete mandatory paper work for approval to trim city tree. Finally, the City of Palo Alto perform the work several month later.

Francisco arrived on time. The work was done efficiently and completed ahead of schedule. The left the yard clean and collected all of the debris. I defiantly hire Tree Specialist and recommend them to my friends.

Don was here for an estimate, and noticed that one of our large trees was actually in the process of splitting. We was able to get a permit, remove the tree along with another tree we were thinking of removing and trimming an additional tree. This was done faster than we'd even anticipated and the work was cleaned up and neatly finished.

They actually made the trees healthier. When they removed the Apple Tree they took out the roots and all. I really liked that. I was also very impressed with how safe and careful they were. They made sure to attach a rope and use a pulley system to remove the limbs. It was very controlled and nothing was damaged. I was super impressed with their service. We are actually considering having them again to work on our Red Wood Tree. They have a tree specialist to determine what service is most appropriate for the particular tree. They knew what work required a permit. If the work did require a permit they would take care of it.

They were on time and professional, did all the work within a day since they had a large crew (about six men maybe) However, they broke th sprinkler plumbing when grinding the stumps but it wasn't a problem for us since the sprinkler system doesn't work on the first place.

From start to finish this was a professional job, done by competent, trained people, excellent cleanup on completion of the job, and a final inspection by myself and the foreman of the crew. Aly came and gave us the estimate. His staff called a short time before he was due to arrive telling us that he would be 15 - 20 mins late and would that be convenient for us. We said ok and he arrived exactly 15 mins later. Aly is extremely knowledgeable about trees and gave us information and suggestions on each tree. He gave us a written estimate, along with a packet of their licenses & certificates, saving us time doing research on his firm. We decided to have his firm do the work. This was the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend & we hoped to have the work done before the holiday. He said he was pretty sure that was possible, but wanted to check on the availablity of a crew who specialize in shaping large olive trees. They were able to make an appointment for us the following day. The crew arrived on time, and the foreman reviewed with us exactly what we wanted for each tree. They began immediately and were there until approximately 6 1/2 hours. They were very careful of areas planted around the trees and moved all patio furniture & potted plants out of the way, and returned them after the trimming. At the time of the quote, we were given a choice of having all the trimmings removed, or having the material chipped and put in piles in front of our house for removal by the City on trash pickup day. I was concerned that the amount of the material might be too much, but Aly said that it would probably be five piles, each approximately 5' tall. There is a $75 fee for removal of all debris, but no fee for chipping and making piles for City pickup. We chose to have them just chip, but Aly said that if it was too much for our front, they would remove it w/o an additional charge. When the crew finished the job, there were five, very neat piles of chipped material just as Aly had told us! As I said, this is a very competent organization. When the City people came to pick up the yard waste, both workers actually smiled when they saw the piles - very neat, easy to pick up! When the crew left I spent the rest of the afternoon admiring my gorgeous trees! What I like most of all about Aly's Tree Trimming is that they did exactly what they said they were going to do, on time and with excellent results. This is a family run organization, very competent, nice people. Even our neighbors were impressed with the crew and the results.

I don't think they understood their work. They didn't send out a certified arborist to quote what I was looking to have done. The gentleman that came out didn't seem to completely understand what he had to do. The price showed me that they didn't understand the work. They were responsive and came out when they said they would. They were professional but didn't know how to do the work.

They were very professional. I was very impressed. They didn?t even require the payment until the work is reviewed and that I could send payment afterwards when I was ready.

Much lower priced than other companies interviewed for job. Very flexible on dates, showed up exactly on time with a huge crew, and finished in 3.5 hours. Conferred with my neighbor regarding trimming of his trees. Touched base with me several times during job to make sure that I was satisifed, and came back next week to do further touch ups at my husbands request. Extremely professional and careful.

We just took possession of our new house and were in need of some serious tree-trimming. Coincidentally, Don Araki, the owner of Tree Specialist, happened to be in our neighborhood working and showed up at my house asking if we needed any tree work done. I checked out two of his references, so I hired him for the work. His crew (maybe 7 of them?) worked for about 2 full days, though the work had to be stopped for a day so I could get San Mateo County out to get rid of 3 yellow-jacket nests. Overall I was very pleased with Don's work-he is easy to work with and always available on his phone.
