The guy who did the work was very personable and efficient. He was very detail oriented and cleaned up after himself. He was very professional and so was the office and the owner.

They came out and took the old door out, and then took measurements for the new one. They had to order the new one in custom so it has taken a little while, but the quality of their work is very good; all of the people involved in the company are very professional.

Eric arrived within 15 minutes of the appointment to perform the estimate and spent time looking at the damage. A few days after he submitted his estimate, I discovered more damage and he promptly came back for a second assessment. He worked to keep his quote within my budget which sealed the deal. Steve arrived within 30 minutes of the appointment time. He removed the dry rotted trim and professionally matched the replacement peices, then primed and painted the full trim. Once the paint dried you can't tell where the original wood stops and the new wood begins. The work took the amount of time estimated. Steve needed less materials than estimated, so the overall cost was less than the revised quote.

They were absolutely excellent. They had great knowledge and they approached it very well. Their skill level was very high. They did excellent work. They were always on time and were very responsive from my initial phone call. I would recommend them to others.

Work was not fast, but was well done. The handyman from the company brought floor cloths and cleaned up well after himself. My error at the beginning was in not asking the price up front, but I have not had work done for about 7 years so I made an assumption that it would be about $50-75 per hour. It was actually $100 per hour.

The cement design option was really a good idea. The patio is cement and the step looks like it belongs there. This work was done for my elderly Mother who is a San Jose Angie's List member, but I arranged this work from Minnesota where I live. All the arrangements were done through email and a bit of phone contact. I got design plans with PDF-like estimates describing the work via email. Eric sent me a photo of the rebar work and the form for the cement step while things were in progress via email. We went back and forth on the details via email and Eric was very responsive. Tool Time's cost estimate was in the middle of the three estimates I got, but what Tool Time delivered for the estimate was better than what the most expensive estimate was going to deliver. I wasn't even required to put any money down. The only thing that detracted from the experience a bit was some scheduling delays toward the end of the job. So the work spanned almost a month. It just worked out that I was visiting my Mother when the railing was finally installed and got to see the finished product and meet Eric and his assistant Elizabeth. I will definitely use Tool Time again for services for my Mother. I feel totally comfortable letting them into my Mother's home based on this experience.

He was very professional, and did not waste time. He explained what he was doing step-by-step so I had a better understanding of the nature of the problem. He then spent about an hour giving me estimates and ideas on several other projects I would like done around the house. He seemed very knowledgeable, and seemed to take pride in the quality of work he does. He gave me advice on work I could do myself which I really appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate in hiring him.

Shortly after starting the caulking job, I got a call from the owner/estimator telling me that he made an error on the bid. He said his guy who started the job called him and questioned the estimate. Instead of three hours, the job was now going to take six hours. I told him I did not want them to proceed because it almost doubled the cost of the job. Since he did not offer to adjust the new estimate, I decided I did not want to have his company do the rest of my projects.

We have hired him in the past and we never had any problems with the work that he has done. He does great work. I don't remember exactly how much we paid, but his prices are always fair.

Excellent. Very friendly, efficient, and proactive. Eric even ordered parts I needed, instead of having me track them down.

Clean, quality workmanship. Excellent communication. Polite. Did not waste time. Started when he said he would. Cleaned up afterward. The final cost was more than the estimate because some of the material cost more than expected and we expanded the scope of work.

Quality of work performed was excellent, they explained the work being performed, answered all questions, were very friendly, and followed up after finishing to see if everything was satisfactory. Tool Time is highly recommended.
