I contacted Eric, and he gave me an appointment for Sat. 11/26. He was on-time. He even called a day earlier to let me know that he can come earlier on Sat. since his schedule has opened up and I had indicated that I am interested in an earlier appointment. I was very happy with the way he completed the job. He paid close attention to details and making sure that the faucets are replaced correctly. Re-caulking took longer than expected since an adhesive material was used but he did a great job getting rid of the old adhesive material and cleaning up the counter tops. I am very happy with Eric's quality job and will definitely use his services for other projects.

Tool Time began with a detailed quote in the form of a spreadsheet and a Gantt (scheduling) chart. This was a complete remodel including the ceilings, new plumbing, sheetrock, flooring, and installing vent fans and ducting which were not there previously. Eric the owner is a former high tech guy and dealing with him was very different from my previous experience with general contractors. He is very thoughtful and analytic. The work went by very quickly on an aggressive schedule. The subs hit their marks very well and the work was completed on time and on budget. The quality is excellent and I am very satisfied with the result. I have given Tool Time A's in every category except price because there are probably cheaper guys out there. However, given what was delivered and the speed and quality, I rate the total value proposition as very high.

I called this company on September 10th, 2011 to get a price on installing two doors, a front door and a kitchen door. I had plane tickets to fly out there and get the job done and I wanted to schedule it ahead of time swo I could be sure to get the work done during the time I had available. He didn't seem interested, I called him a couple of times, and finally got someone else to do the job.

It was my only bathroom and they completed the job on time and within my budget. The tile work is beautiful and I am very pleased with the end results. I am currently saving to have my kitchen remodeled.The crew was professional and cleaned up after themselves each day. I highly recommend Tool Time. Patience P.

Overall, the experence was excellent.

He was very detailed and thourough about the quote. Even did a drawing detailing what needed to be done. Other I had quote the job were lower in price but did not do the thorough job up front Eric did. That gave me a high confidence level going in. Arrived on time on the day of the job. First had electrician move light and wires. Then they started demo. Laid down tarps and hung on plastic to seal off area during demo. Job ran long when they discovered ceiling joists were different sizes but offered to come back following Saturday to finish job which they did.

I called Tool Time and was lucky enough to chat with Steven who thought he could repair my old windows. He came the next day. He stopped on the way to purchase the rope needed for the pulley system. He was incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable and respectful. He put up with 2 dogs. He repaired 3 windows that were in terrible shape. He was very careful and left the place cleaner than he found it.. I suspect there is a lot more handyman tasks he can tackle, and I will definitely call Tool Time again.

Eric (the owner) is great --- he knows what to do and how to do it. He's willing to do what you explicitly ask for but will also offer suggestions and point out things that you might want to get fixed. He came in on a Sunday to finish off additional work that I added to his list instead of making me wait for another opening in his schedule. In addition to what I think of as normal handyman jobs (fixing problems with cabinets and smaller structural stuff), he did a great job of fixing the drywall where a toilet-paper holder had pulled out and in fixing problems where the previous owner had not textured or painted a wall behind a TV that he took with him.

Really great service. It's nice to have someone that you trust, shows up on time and does a great job and doesn't try and charge you too much. Would completely recommend these guys!

The owner Eric is a good guy. They?re prompt and courteous, and it is easy to schedule. They get back to me on time. They?re expensive. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

There were some price issues on a cost plus contact exceeding their initial estimates.

Very trustworthy and friendly. A bit more expensive than I expected - mainly because of the need of purchasing the new valves - but the job got done professionally and efficiently. I see the truck around the Monte Sereno Neighborhood Often so I know others trust his services. If you need something done around the house that is not too extensive (High Voltage Electrical Work etc that requires a more focused and extensive skill set in a particular area - he is reliable and recommended.) Also - if the job is beyond his capabilities - he will point you in a reliable direction.

Prompt response; on time for assessment visit; scheduled and did work within one week. Quality good. Customer service good. No complaints Will use again.

Exceeded expectations. He even made a trip to Home Depot to exchange one smoke alarm for the one I needed.

It went very good, but their prices were high. Their responsiveness and timeliness was excellent.

I called Tool Time on Monday, and they didn't call back until Wednesday. I just figured they weren't interested in the project, but then the man apologized and said they were just busy. So he schedules to stop by on Thursday "sometime after 2:30pm". The ambiguity of that time frame itself was annoying, so I wait, and wait, and wait and wait and wait and wait. And the guy never shows up. But I guess, technically, he's not late, because "sometime after 2:30pm" could be anytime. It could be six months from now. I value my time, and I need depdendable, reliable professionals, and in my experience, that description does not fit Tool Time. I never plan on calling them again, and would advise other people not to contact them. I just now checked their reviews on other web sites, and they have terrible reviews on other sites, and other users site responsiveness issues, as well.

Overall: We are very impressed with Eric and his handymen, and we look forward to working with them again on more of our house repair projects. From the moment Eric came out to give the estimate, we had more confidence in Tool Time to perform the work than other handymen. He seemed knowledgeable about the type of repairs needed, and his quote was for the entire repair sans any additional, unforeseen damage (The other handyman we spoke to would only give an estimate to remove siding with a subsequent quote to repair damage. While this made sense, we were not completely comfortable working with him). After we accepted Tool Time's estimate on a Wednesday, Eric said they could schedule the job the following week. On Thursday, however, he called and asked if they could start that afternoon, and we said yes. The two handymen that did the work, Steve and Shane, worked incredibly fast. They started 2:30 Thursday afternoon and were finished with the carpentry work by about 2:30 Friday afternoon. Steve came back Monday morning to prime and paint and work on the patio, and was done by 11:30 that morning. We are amazed at how nice the front porch area looks now...like new. And the ease of having the work done and the quality of the work are a God-send.

I sent an email requesting a bid after finding the company with good ratings on the Angie's list website. Tool Time (Eric) responded within 24 hours, with a bid, job site unseen. The price quoted was very competitive. Several weeks after the initial bid, I decided on an alternate sink style, and even after that asked Eric a handful of questions, and each time he responded quickly with a rebid or with confirmation of no change to the last price quoted. Once I told Eric that I wanted to proceed with the project, he was willing to schedule the job that same week, or early the following week, whichever suited me better. The job was scheduled for 8:30 am Tuesday of the following week; George from Tool Time showed up at 8:45. George was very pleasant, tidy, thorough and knowledgeable. During the sink installation he found that the supply lines were not only a different dimension that normal, but were installed at a non-standard distance from the sink, so he had to make an extra trip to the hardware store to find the components to create a fix for the situation. When he was testing the new faucet connection, he was concerned that the sink was not draining at the expected rate. He tried to correct this problem, but ultimately, the sink stopped draining entirely (I had to bring a plumber in the next day to snake the drain). Because of the time George invested in trying to get the sink to drain correctly, what was supposed to be a one day job ended up requiring a return on the following day to finish the new medicine cabinet installation. George cleaned up completely before he left on Tuesday, and returned Wednesday morning as agreed to finish the job in a couple of hours. The final invoice was within a few dollars of the original estimate. All in all, the project went very well.

I am quite sure we got their name from Angie?s List. I really enjoyed working with the person that they had sent out. He was very friendly, professional, and competent. I think his price was reasonable too considering the quality of service. It was not too easy to schedule them for an appointment as their response wasn?t quite good, but overall it was a good experience.

Both Eric and George were excellent to deal with. George completed the job quickly and thoroughly, and then reviewed with me what he had done. The project came in under the estimated time and Eric adjusted the invoice accordingly.

They were very professional and prompt. They were great to work and were very detailed in their work but they were pricey. I was completely satisfied with the work.

They promptly answered questions I had before I signed off to start the work. They also gave me an idea of "worse case" as we didn't know for sure what might be under the old vinyl floor. They were on time each day, and on budget with no surprises. They also picked up the tile I had chosen. They cleaned up after the work was done. I am very happy with how the new floor looks.
