Tom Shinn Custom Flooring

Bottom Line - we would not recommend anyone using Tom Shinn Custom Flooring! We wasted so much time and energy dealing with Tom. He was unreliable, he sent workers to our home that were intoxicated and the work was completed with very low quality. One year after the installation, we are forced to go back with another vendor to correct all of the poor workmanship of Tom Shinn Custom Flooring. Again, under no circumstances would we recommend using Tom Shinn Custom Flooring. BEWARE!

Pros: The new hardwood flooring in the new addition looks lovely. They also draped plastic to reduce the spread of wood dust during finishing, although we had to remind them to do so. Cons: The restoration of white oak in the existing floors in one room and the hallway looks rather sloppy. There are several sections where the wood filler looks like it's flooding over the slats of oak. We've had oak floor restoration done before by another company, and it had turned out well, so we feel that Tom Shinn's company could've done a better job.
