Wonderful cabinets and a great crew. We spoke to a number of cabinet shops; but all paled when it came to our needs for custom measurements. The Wood Connection prices were even better than the others. Dennis came to our home three times to measure and recommend layout options. He and his wife Bobby provided full-size wood door samples to take to the granite stores. We did a full kitchen with adjoining family room using a common slab granite counter with red birch cabinets. We like the cabinets so much we did two bathrooms with matching cabinets plus had custom hallway linen cabinet frames and doors made. The kitchen cabinets came with matching crown moldings, toe kicks, custom cuts for our recessed LED lights, dovetail joints, heavy duty everything. The pull-out drawers are rated at 150 lbs and include automatic closures and the cabinet doors include soft-close hinges. I should add that we also visited the shop to pick up various samples and to see our cabinets being made.

We retained The Wood Connection to construct custom-designed cabinets, including a floor-to-ceiling linen cabinet and a bathroom vanity as part of the full remodeling of our master bathroom. The cabinets were constructed of cherry wood -- solid cherry drawers, doors, and front frames. The vanity sides were cherry veneer. The drawer shells are 9-ply and fully dovetailed. The construction was perfect in every respect, which is saying a lot since we are very picky. Best wood staining (very light color) we've ever seen. The cabinets may have been more expensive than mass-produced cabinets (e.g., KraftMaid), but you really do get what you pay for. Bobbie and Dennis (the owners) were very responsive to our questions. Dennis even showed us the manufacturing floor so that we could see how the company constructs its cabinets. Dennis personally came to our house to take the measurements. Price included delivery. Delivery was carefully performed. Our only complaint (and a minor one at that) is that construction and delivery took about 1-1/2 times longer than projected. But the delay did not result in any inconvenience or delay since our contractor also was behind schedule. We highly recommend this company.
