What a life saver! These guys are responsive and professional in a time of need. The ceiling fell out under my bathroom on the second floor. Turns out the hot water pipe had been leaking for sometime. Matt showed up within 45 minutes ready to go. Really set my mind at ease. He was courteous, professional and efficient. He did an excellent job. Very thorough. More important, he made me feel like my problem was his problem. I will definitely recommend The Water Damage Experts.

We kept smelling an awful smell coming from under our house. The plumber said our drain line was leaking in our crawlspace. We found the Water Damage Experts online and Ali came out immediately. He said it was our kitchen line and he could clean it up and get rid of the hazard and the smell within a couple of hours. He also coordinated with the plumber so he could follow up with the repair. I was really stressed out at the time and this was the last thing I needed. Thanks to Ali, this was one less thing I had to worry about. He cleaned the crawlspace and the plumber fixed the pipe that day. Great company and great service, I would highly recommend The Water Damage Experts. Thank you Ali

I had a plumbing leak that flooded half of my home. Israel did a great job. He was friendly, hard-working, and very intelligent in his field. I will def recommend them and cannot say enough about how well-mannered all of them were.

They are always great. Show up when they say they will be there. We have used them several times and will continue to do so.

I called them for a second opinion, after a competing firm stopped work to wait for testing for the presence of asbestos. Steven made an appointment the same day, showed up on time, inspected the job site and said their competitor was doing the right thing, the same as his firm would. He explained that insurance companies generally and my insurance company in particular require cautious treatment of possible asbestos. He offered a few other tips. He went on his way with no suggestion of me paying for his time. I was impressed that he knew his business and was generous with his time.

This company serviced one of my rental properties in San Jose recently. I had previously used them in 2004 for another one of my properties in Fremont . They did an excellent job once again & the horrible smell from the sewage leak was thankfully gone after they finished. They are on the mid to high end in terms of pricing, but I?ve never had a problem with their work. Since I own several rental properties, I have used many different service companies through the years. Water Damage Experts provided me with top notch service on both occasions.

I had guests visiting last weekend. All of a sudden, my downstairs toilet backed-up & caused a flood. It was dirty water mixed with some fecal matter. I got the toilet to stop & frantically searched online for water damage companies in my area. I called on a Sunday night & the Water Damage Experts answered the phone and calmed me down, since I was pretty stressed out. They told me they would have a technician over in 60-90 minutes. Well, their technician arrived in about 25 minutes so that was a pleasant surprise. He was professional & answered my questions. After assessing the problem, he gave me an "approximate" estimate of $800-$1500 for the job, since he stated that it may take 1-3 days to dry. He immediately sucked up the water & cleaned-up the area. Job was finished 2 days later & the total I was charged was $824.00 minus the 5% Veteran's discount of $41.20= $782.80. The technician's name is Bob, & he did an excellent job. I appreciated the fact that the final price I was charged was lower that the initial price estimate quoted. Even though, the service was not cheap, this company exceeded my expectations on several levels. This is a rare thing with service companies nowadays.

My Property manager called the Water Damage Experts when one of my rental properties had a plumbing issue that caused water damage & mold. To make a long story short, they cleaned it up, treated the mold & dried the area up. This happened several weeks ago & I have had no complaints. My Property Manager spoke highly of them, since they've used them before. I am very happy with their work.

My entire living room got flooded about 3 weeks ago, so I called this company at around 10:45pm. The lady(Sheryll-I think was her name?) that answered was very polite & reassuring. The two men, Bob & Luis, arrived at my place within 1 hour as promised. They were professional & explained everything to my satisfaction before starting the work. I can not comment on how reasonable their pricing is because I've never had this type of service before, but they dealt with my insurance adjuster & billed them, so it only cost me my $500 deductible. My adjuster also indicated that she was pleased with their work. Happy to say that after 4 days, my place is back to normal, as if nothing ever happened. I am very thankful for the excellent service provided by Bob & Luis.

The service went terribly. I never received a report from them. The technician showed up 2 hours late and did not call to let me know they would be running late. They did give a few different time frames they would be showing up but missed each time frame. They were out to my home for only about 5 minutes. He did not even explain what he would be doing. I even verified my address to make sure the report would be sent out to the right place, but never received it.

Dana came out on a Friday evening to give me an estimate just as another contractor was leaving. After he determined the Water Damage Experts price, I told him that the other contractor was significantly less and that I would be using them. Dana matched their price and promised to do a good job. Dana, his son and a nephew showed up on time the next morning and worked hard throughout the day to get everything done. They were professional, extremely competent and did a great job. Given such an unpleasant situation, they were a pleasure to do business with and I'm happy I chose them over the other contractor. Dana also knows a lot about plumbing and was able to diagnose exactly what the plumber had to bring along to fix the problem. I have no hesitation in recommending Dana for any job - big or small. Mine was quite extensive and everything turned out great. They were done by 5pm and I haven't had a problem since. You'll not regret working with Dana and his team at Water Damage Experts.

I was very impressed with their quick response, knowledge & professionalism. I even got a $25.00 discount when I mentioned that $75 for Emergency Trip Charge & inspection fee was a bit much in my opinion. They did a great job & I have had no issues so far.

Atlee shows up on time. However, he tells me that he does not have "his own" truck and had to swap trucks with someone else, therefore he does not have any tools, flashlight, etc. He looks at the buckling on my floor inside the house. Cannot figure out why this is occuring so, he thinks he should look under the house. However, he does not have any equipment, so he promises me that he will return at 9 am the next morning with his own truck. Of course, he forgets to show. I call him that afternoon. He had forgotten. Now he promises he will show up the next morning, which he does. He tells me there is no water damage in the crawl space. Joist is not wet. Not sure why there is buckling on the floor. He can't figure it out and has no suggestions. He will come back on Monday (third time the charm???) with Steve, a guy with more experience so they will both look at it and let me know what needs to be done. The two of them, of course, never showed up and never call.

Dana and his team were very responsive, professional and knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done. He did an excellent job of explaining the work to me and quoting the project. Also, his team did a great job of managing the project and cleaning up.

This company referred to us by our plumber saved my house ...Had a bad flood which resulted from a water heater leak that soaked my entire living room. Carlos and his team arrived at my home within the Hour . Carlos was very professional & really help to calm us down. He told us the cost would be approximately $1500-$1900 depending on how long it takes to dry. Long story short, Carlos finished the job in 4 days & charged us $1615 . Everything is now back to normal & we've had no other problems since. We are very happy with this company's professionalism & quality of work.

Some delays for appointment and services, usually cited as being due to other higher priority jobs (easy to believe, but a phone call warning of delays would be appreciated). Room did get dried out, but main issue was that instead of lifting carpet at seam (or cutting through cleanly with a sharp knife), the carpet was cut/torn raggedly to lift and allow air to get beneath. Had to schedule separate repairs for this damage. To their credit, the Water damage experts did compensate for those repairs.

We had mildew smells in laundry room after a washer overflowed. Unit owners in the condo were complaining. Dana from 'The Water Damage Experts' came out, tested the walls, found them dry, smelled the smells, saw no visible mold, and recommended that we simply do our own spraying with Odoban, which he said should solve the problem, and without the expense of his services.This honesty and helpful recommendation I value, and I would be much more likely to call him again.

As I've indicated above. Their technician was professional & very knowledgeable. He came back several times to check on the progress of the job & always kept me updated. There were no hidden or added charges, which I really like. He initially gave an estimate for "approximately $1,000-$1,100 depending on drying times", and the final price was $964.00. They also called to follow-up after the job was done to make sure I was satisfied. Overall, I am very happy with the price & quality of work done.

I originally contacted another company as the result of a plumber's recommendation. The other company quoted me close to a lot of money to clean up a leak in my crawlspace and treat for mold while admitting it was a few hour job. After searching on Angie's list, I found Water Damage Experts. Dana came to my house and quoted me less than half the price for the same work. He was prompt and thorough and completed the job in the same day. The plumber claimed there was wood damage and since this company does not repair wood damage, he again recommended another company. Interestingly enough this new company also did not do wood damage repair, but did water damage and mold treatment as well. They commented that the job I had done by WTD was professional and very well done.

A mess in the start and a win in the end,

I have used Water Damage Experts on many occasions for the past several years, since I manage multiple properties in the Bay Area. They have always provided me with prompt service, reasonable charges and excellent communication. I’ve never had any issues with their work. This is why they are the only water damage company on our approved vendor list.

It took FIVE attempts, (appointments made, cancelled, NO SHOWS, lame excuses "emergencies") before the guy showed up on the 6th appointment time! First appointment was made for November 21, right after the deal was purchased and the inspector seemed eager to set up an appointment. While he was friendly, I would not recommend this company nor expect them to be part of Angie's List.

I use them after they announced a special offer of $79.95 for an inspection or something like that. My view of what I received was that I paid the price to get an estimate, which should have been free. Somebody just came in and looked around and said what it would cost to get the thing fixed. He didn't look any place else. I would expect that if I had called the company to give me an estimate that they would come over and look at things and give me an estimate. I certainly wouldn't expect to pay something for it. He will be coming back to do service. I haven't told him that I don't want it. I still haven't decided whether I'm going to avail myself of that or not.
