The Carpet Butler

Jerry is the greatest. I started using his service when I lived in the South Bay. When I moved over an hour away I called him. He came all the way up here. He is excellent at what he does and is very trustworthy. I always leave him along in the house to complete his work. His prices are a little high, but you will not be disappointed in the quality of his work.

As always very well. Lynn Kuehn is very professional and capable, loves her work, and is pleasant to have in my home. I highly recommend her. The cost below was for traffic areas mostly, plus a stairway.

The one bedroom had a deep stain that was successfully removed . the rest of the carpets and the couch turned out beautiful.

They do a good job. But sometimes the stains are not all done. Their price is a little high. One person came out to do the job. The carpet was a little too wet and it needed to be dried a little bit more. Wetness is the problem.

New Owner, not Pat of the original Carpet Butler, how disappointing. I was over charged, $475 for 900sq feet of carpet, single story, no steps. He tried to sell me a series of service 6 & 12mo from now and asked for payment at the time of my 1st service, crazy. I found this ridiculous based on not knowing this new owner or his quality of work. He was careless and cracked two corners on my stone tile. He was not thorough and went so fast that I question how deeply he cleaned the carpets.

She thoroughly cleaned the area and focused on the stains especially. Upon finishing she informed me that should any stains resurface again within the next few day, they come and retouch the area (s) at no extra cost. The carpets remained clean and stain did not resurface as much as I had anticipated some stain never resurfaced. They called about a week later and inquired about the overall service. Over all we're pleased with the result.

One lady came out to perform the services. She was here less than an hour. She did a great job. I would recommend them. I noticed some ants coming out of the carpet, not sure if it came from the cleaning or not.

Our experience with them has been excellent. We have used them when they had the previous owners as well as now that they have new owners. Two women who are sisters bought the company and they came out the last time and did a terrific job. As a matter of fact, it was the first time that I ever went to Yelp to write a review about somebody. They charged us about $400 or $500 the last time. The sofa basically cost half of what we paid and then the rest were for the carpets. The sectional sofa was a mess and they were not certain that they could get everything out. They ended up spending far more time on it than they thought that they would spend and they did not charge us more and they got it cleaner than we thought that they were going to. They thought that they would be there two-thirds of the day but they were there almost the whole day. They were thorough. It was like, "We have a job to do and we certainly would do it for a fixed price and we are going to keep working on it until it is better and it cannot absolutely get any better." They were conscientious. They did an excellent work for a reasonable price and they honored their price. Their punctuality was also not an issue at all because they showed up when they said that they would.

They were very nice, professional and honest as they made sure I didn't purchase extra services/treatments that I didn't need. I trusted them because of this. They also saved me money by telling me how to self-treat spills in the future, after the cleaning, so that I could prolongue the length of time between carpet cleanings. In addition, they did an EXCELLENT JOB!!!

Communications were easy and they were responsive, but I was not able to take advantage of their service.

Showed on time. No hidden costs. Very professional . Completed job in allotted time estimated.

Two workers came punctually, were helpful and polite, and left the area rug and smaller carpet very clean.

I had just had work done in the bedroom and there was quite a bit of tracked in dirt plus past pet stains. Tow women arrived on time, set up, pre-spayed and cleaned. the carpets were really very clean and I have never had a better result from any of the several other providers I have used. Would recommend them highly!

Given how dirty the stairs were, I was quite impressed with how much better the stairs now look. I was also delighted that when I pointed out a few small spots from the previous job that hadn't come clean, DeeDee successfully--and cheerfully--recleaned them

Lynn and Day arrived approx 9:20am (due between 9-10.) They evaluated the area rugs, fully imformed me issue in cleaning these carpets, and did the cleaning.

It went okay, they did a good job but one thing I didn't like. They were nice and stuff but I didn't like that they were saying it was a big bedroom so they didn't have to do underneath the bed. I have a king-sized bed and they were asked to do around the bed and wherever you can reach but they specifically said in which I don't like is that it's better not

I had a real challenge for Lynn. I had my carpet cleaned a couple of months ago. After the carpet dried, large spots began to reappear. The carpet cleaner I used said that they were from water/liquid that had seeped into the pad. It looked horrible, so bad in fact, that I thought I was going to have to replace the carpet, which is only 4 years old. Then I saw an ad from Angie's list for cleaning one room for $39. I figured it was worth the money to see if another carpet cleaning company could do something about those spots. I also paid extra to have her clean traffic areas in another bedroom, stairs, and the small landing at the top of the stairs, where the worst spotting occurred. I explained the situation to Lynn from The Carpet Butler when she arrived to do the cleaning. She said she had a "fix" that would keep the spots from reappearing. She did a great job and even told me the source of a mysterious blue spot in one of the bedrooms - ink. She actually has a fix for blue and black ink, but didn't have it with her. Next time she cleans my carpets, and there will be a next time, she'll bring it with her. I was waiting with fingers crossed to see if the spots would reappear. They did not. Her fix worked and the carpet looks like new again. OK, not quite new, but as good as a 4 year old carpet should look. I was very pleased and even told a friend about my experience the next day when we were having lunch. (She has an off-white carpet, no kids at home, no pets, slippers only on the carpet but it still needs cleaning occasionally.) She has one large-ish reoccurring spot, too. I think she will be using The Carpet Butler next time she gets her carpet cleaned.

!!The ladies arrived on time and were very professional. They cleaned a large living room for the advertised price of $39.00. They told me that there were several pet stains that needed to be treated for an additional $40.00 if I choose to do so. Since I had explained when I made the appointment that we had just moved into the house and the previous owner had pets I was surprised that I had not been told previously that the deal did not include pet stains. I paid the additional $40.00 for the stain removal. The carpet looks great and they even gave me some tips on future pet stain removal. I would have paid the additional $40.00 either way it just would have been nice to know upfront. I will use them again!!

Lynn and Kay of The Carpet Butlers were here early within the 2 hour window provided to clean one room of carpeting. They were professional, informative and took great care to protect my wood floors and furniture while they cleaned. The job was done perfectly. I will continue to use them in the future because having a great carpet cleaner who will do as little as one room (or more) is hard to find. Can't recommend them enough.

Great. They are sisters and very nice. The idea of offering cleaning for one room was great cause sometimes that's all you need.Will definitely refer people.

This was an Angie's List deal for $39 for one room of carpet cleaning. I asked to substitute my living room area rug and hall runner and they were happy to accomodate. They arrived right on time, and cautioned me that they would test the rug for color fastness before proceeding; in the event the rug had not met the "test," they assured me they would have a referral for me to a vendor who could do an alternate form of cleaning. As it happened, the rug passed the test and they proceeded. They were thorough, careful and cleaned up completely. I asked about how they would recommend I store area rugs and got very good advice. The whole thing took about an hour, 15 minutes preliminaries and 45 minutes cleaning. The cost, had I not had an Angie's List deal, would have been a $150 house visit plus $1 per square foot for the actual cleaning, which goes to show how marvelous the Angie's List deals are. I will definitely recommend them to others and use them again!

Do not use this company!! They have changed ownership and the new owners have no idea what this business was about. In the past, we used the Carpet Butler for many years. It was a pleasure working with Bob and Paul. They did everything they said they would do and they did the best work I've ever seen. When we learned they had sold their business, we decided to give the new owners a chance. Unfortunately, there is no comparison. 20 minutes after the agreed upon time, we got a call from Jackie letting us know that the technicians went to our old address (Paul had cleaned our new house 9 months ago, so they had our new address), and since they didn't find us they decided to go to their next job, in San Jose. Furthermore, they were unwilling to come back to Palo Alto and do our house later today, even though we told them we had removed all the furniture from the room. We will never use them again. First, they should have confirmed they had the right address. Second, they should have called immediately when they realized they had the wrong house (our new house is around the corner). Third, they should have made very effort to come back today. Three strikes, you're out!

They are trustworthy. I had to go out of the house and yet they did a good job.

They are very good and they do a good job. I highly recommend them.
