About us

Open to designers, builders and homeowners with projects and budgets of all sizes. We are the last surviving California Tile manufacturer from the golden age of tile makers of the 1920’s. Still making tiles to suit Arts & Crafts, Mission Revival, Mediterranean, Spanish Colonial, Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Deco styles along with our new modern designs. Using our rich pallet of hundreds of custom glazes and our original authentic 1920’s molds. We manufacture & sell kitchen & bath tiles, floor & wall tiles, Tiles for fountains, fireplaces, spa’s pools, Bar B Q’s, Residential & Commercial tiles. Handmade tile, Custom tile, Porcelain tile, Stoneware tile, along with Stone and Glass products for interior or exterior applications. Our design team can assist with mixing and matching low cost imported tile, stone or glass with our hand made products giving a full custom look at a fraction of the cost of full custom made.

They were a great source for design services. They had a variety of unique tile along with great prices.
Description of Work: They helped me select tile for an antique fireplace surround and then did the design for it.

I had a concept for the type of tile I wanted for my front porch and had already approached one other company who would not qoute it. David worked from a photograph and produced hand pressed custom tile which looks wonderful. Its true artisan tile!

The custom tiles came out quite beautiful, and Janet did a great job picking out complementary tiles and patterns for us. However, we found working with Janet and David a bit frustrating. They lost our order; they had problems faxing us the information we needed and didn't make a phone call to let us know the fax didn't go through for them. They didn't let us know when we needed to make further confirmation for items that we thought we had already ordered, so everything came later than we expected. They were prompt to answer phone calls but between the two of them they weren't always aware of what the other had done or the status of our order.
Description of Work: Janet from Stonelight Tile worked with us to custom-color some hand-carved and hand-painted tile which is Stonelight's specialty. In addition she helped us to choose tile colors and patterns to correspond with the custom tiles and their settings, and to order them from other manufacturers.
