Monarch Solid Surface Designs did a fantastic job. Jodi offered fantastic design ideas. We had a fireplace hearth made out of quartz fabricated. The item was completed ahead of schedule and on budget. Can"t ask for more than that. Great Job!!

Love my new countertops that look amazing!! Thanks Jodi and Ken for making my kitchen and bathrooms look new! I was recommended to them by Creative Wall Designs and I?m glad they did. I got multiple countertop quotes but Jodi came in the middle for price and asked me the most questions of what were my goals for the project. The other vendors just wanted measurements and to just give me the quote. Jodi acted as a consultant walking me thru all the different types of stones and the pros and cons of each stone. After talking with her I decided to go with HIMACS Volcanic Stone in the color Shasta. This is stain resistant stone and you can refinish it if it gets scratched. Since we have 3 year old Twins this seemed perfect over Quartz. We did have a few bumps on the project. First the tear out took over a day which we had not planned since the tile was over 33 years old. The team had to come back on a Sunday to get it completed on time because the painters were starting on Monday to paint my cabinets. Second our materials arrived and were damaged. Monarch had to reorder and that put the schedule out about 3 days. A few days later they installed the bathrooms and we had sinks again woo hoo!! The coving turned out beautiful and I could not see any lines at all on my new countertops. Friday we had the kitchen countertops installed and wow what a transformation! They looked beautiful and the kitchen appeared so much bigger! My 3 year twins said Mommy we have a New Home!! The crew who did the tear out were rushing and did chip the wall and let some of the tear out materials get into my garbage disposal but luckily the plumber was able to vacuum it all out. Overall I?m very happy with my new kitchen and bathrooms and would recommend them in a second!

I couldn't be more pleased with the product and the work performed by Monarch. Jodi has a very nice selection of products in her showroom and examples of all of the edging treatments. She is extremely knowledgable and can tell you the pros and cons of various different surfaces. She is not like a salesperson, more like an expert consultant. This made it easy to pick exactly the right material and edging for my large custom bathroom vanity. The edging work is lovely and the top is a perfect fit. The installer did a great job and managed to get the top into a tight corner without scratching walls or the custom cabinetry. Amazingly, Jodi was able to keep track of lots of different customers all at the same time. I went to her showroom during the pre-Christmas rush and, after my visit, was trying to decide between two different materials. Since she was tracking all her customers so closely she discovered that the material I was leaning towards was going to be in extremely short supply due to some very large purchases by big developers. She called to let me know that and I was able to secure a piece that was right for my job. I really appreciated the heads up and would have been disappointed if I couldn't have gotten the material I wanted. Mine was a small job yet I got fantastic service. I would definitely use Monarch again.

Jodi was very accommodating even though our job was small. She allowed us to pick a remnant which would fit our job and saved us money over other bids we received, which would have required purchasing a half slab. Finding a solid surface retailer is harder than you think, but Monarch was the answer to our needs. It took approximately two weeks, from picking the counter to installation, but they fit us in between bigger jobs, and the end result is just what we envisioned. I will certainly use them when we do our next project.

Jodi was helpful in explaining our options and helping us choose the material for the top and sink. She kept us informed throughout the process, and followed up when there were some small schedule changes. She coordinated with the general contractor doing other bathroom work to make sure that everyone was scheduled in the right order. The installer was very courteous and kept the area clean; the actual installation went smoothly, and we're very happy with the new top and sink. We are planning to remodel another bathroom and will definitely use Monarch again.

Starting in the showroom, Jodi gave us a thorough explanation of the different characteristics of all the countertop materials. We met with her more than once to get questions answered. With this information, we were much more confident in selecting a countertop appropriate for us. Even though remodeling can be stressful, Monarch Designs made it as painless as possible with a replacement sink and temporary plywood countertops. All members of the team were very pleasant and easy to work with. We are very pleased with the finished product.

Awesome! To start with, Jodi was very accommodating upon our first meeting. Their showroom had many samples and a wide selection. She was prompt in getting back to us with a quote. She responded by email and by telephone. She spoke with us multiple times after hours (late evening) to answer our questions. This was our first kitchen remodel, so we did not know what to expect. She was knowledgeable and explained the process. The process takes two weeks to obtain a custom template to fit the counter to our kitchen specs. The team that came in to remove the tile and measure was friendly and professional. They put plastic down so that we could use our kitchen while the fabricated the counters. Jodi also helped us pick our new sink - very nice stainless steel sink. They ran into unanticipated extra work because our tile cement was difficult to remove (this was a surprise to us as well as them). Jodi was gracious and professional - she honored the quote even though she explained that the demo work was tougher than usual. Also, the removal of the tile caused damage to the walls. She offered, at no additional cost, to install a larger backsplash than we had originally ordered. It looks great! In the end - we are impressed - every time there was a snag, they responded right away and took care of it, and they were patient with us. Great family business, fair prices and honest as the day is long.

First of all, I want to say that this is a family run business run by local, honest, and good people! We were originally working with Lowes for a quote on countertops, and were getting very frustrated at thier lack of response and overall poor customer service, so we decided to look to Angies List for some other options in our area. I emailed a few other installers and Monarch was the first to get back to me and the only one that could come close to matching Lowes price. I was willing to pay more for quality and to support local family owned business. Jodi and Ken were just awesome! Even juggling a lot with their business demands and personal lives, they came through with 100% quality and also met our tight timeline. They were very clear and upfront about pricing, no hidden costs or unexpected add-ons. We love our new countertops and are also really thankful Jodi talked us out of granite for our crazy family-food lifestyles. Low maintenance is our priority! But we got the best of both worlds, both low maintenance and absolutely georgeous "granite" quartz look from the Canturbury choice from the Cambria collection. Ken also even went out of his way to come back to our house in the Santa Cruz Mtns to install a matching windowsill. It really is a really nice addition! We would highly reccomend these guys. Very clean seams, and well thought out design and top-quality installation. The installation team (which included Ken and his son) was very clean, professional, quick and considerate. I really appreciate it when the actual owner of a company comes out to do the work and/or supervises it themselves. What more could one ask for?! We will definately use them again when it comes time to upgrade our bathroom vanities and shower enclosures. Thanks Ken and Jodi for a job well done!

They were on time, did the work as promised, and charged a reasonable price. Furthermore, the sink still looks like new a year after the installation.

Great service, great product, I can't say enough good things about Jodi and Ken. I had bathroom counters that I purchased from them as well as tub and shower surrounds. The bathrooms look amazing! Later, I had new kitchen counters with the same product and service. They are helpful and responsive and professional. In a maze of choices, Jodi helped me select a product that worked best for my needs and budget called Livingstone. The installation was quick, professional and the work area was clean when they left. Highly, highly recommended.

Service was outstanding from start to finish. Installation and materials were of the highest quality. Work was done on time and under budget with a minimum amount of disruption in the kitchen (less than a day). The whole process was done very neatly - no mess left anywhere. Jody and Ken were great to work with. They answered all my questions in a very satisfactory manner.

We moved to our 1955 ranch home in 1992 but the only kitchen improvements we had done were to replace the sink, faucet and dishwasher; the 1960s cooktop and oven kept on working, with some minor repairs. Since we had a spare room once our daughter moved out, we decided to remodel the kitchen. When we first moved into the house we thought it was wonderful to have such a large kitchen, which had been expanded to over twice its original size in the late 1960s. However, when it came time to remodel, we starting thinking that maybe it wasn?t so great to have a large kitchen because of the cost. We had two large Formica countertops with backsplashes that were around 11 inches. We wanted to have new solid surface (acrylic) countertops with the same height backsplashes. After talking to a few companies and getting discouraged about the cost, and in one case, the runaround we got without ever getting an estimate, we were pleasantly surprised to find Monarch Solid Surface Designs. They gave us an estimate that was well within our budget. It took us awhile to decide what color and design we wanted, and they gave us updated estimates according to what we had chosen. We ended up with a more expensive material than we had originally picked out, but the price was still very reasonable. The workers at Monarch were very professional, took care to not damage our floor, and cleaned up afterward. We love our new countertops and would recommend Monarch to others.

When we had finally decided it was time to redo the kitchen we started searching Angie's list for a reparable counter company to start the process. She came across Monarch and decided from the reviews that we should take a look at what they had and talk to them. What a great experience. Jody, one of the owners met us at the show room and took us through the process. Having a partner that is extremely anal and used to work in corp facilities made Monarch's already great process flow with ease. As Jody and Lisa went through all of the options and talked shop, I did my usual thing and wandered around and looked at all of the samples. I had one hit my eye that was just beautiful and was a brand new product to the market from Corian. Of course as always it was higher price then we were planning but after a little begging of Lisa to find a few extra dollars in the budget it was the final choice and we could not be happier. Monarch took all of our draft measurements that Lisa had done with all the drawings and started the bid process. Since it was going to be a complete kitchen overhaul we also needed a plumber, painter and cabinet worker. Jody had people she recommended who recommended other people and before you knew it we had the team in place and only needed Monarch to come out and reaffirm our initial measurements. They were always on time, kept in constant contact with us and worked with us to make sure the sink and stove we bought could be cut into the counter tops and installed. Having such a great team at Monarch made the process appear to be seamless. The counter top company that they purchased the slab from also had the sink we wanted so it was all ordered at once and the Monarch team had that to use as a template for the new cuts. We cannot recommend this company enough, they are professional, nice to work with and do fantastic work. The corian counter top was processed to look like natural stone, having said that there is always the issue of cutting and matching where the cuts are. Monarch did a fantastic job. If you didn't know where the cuts were to begin with you would not find them. You will not go wrong and will have a fantastic kitchen if you use Monarch, and Jody and Ken's commitment to quality, customer service goes above the industry standard. The first thing that impressed me about Monarch was their incredible patience with us! They were they willing to educate us about the various products' advantages and disadvantages and they spent nearly 2 hours with us in their showroom; that was just the first visit. The same patience and thoroughness continued when we returned and by the time we made our final decisions, they had also promptly and thoroughly answered numerous e-mail questions. Once the installation of the new counters and sink began, Monarch worked steadily and the job was done when expected. It quickly became obvious that the owners were incredibly determined to obtain perfection, including returning a huge "slab" of the counter to the shop for fitting refinement; once it was trimmed to their satisfaction, they returned to our home to finish the installation. They were willing to take whatever time and effort was involved in doing the job properly and their high standards are obvious in the final product. We highly recommend them for their product knowledge and selection, their willingness to educate the consumer and their dedication to perfection with regard to installation. I'd give them all A+s if it was allowed!

As part of my bathroom remodel, I needed a new vanity top for a small vanity. Since my vanity was no longer a standard size (19" deep instead of 22"), I found I needed a custom top if I wanted anything other than cheap-looking Home Depot products. I fell in love with a Silestone pattern, but it was very expensive to do custom at HD. After reading about Monarch on Angie's list, I met with Jodi. She has resources to find remnants and left over stone from larger jobs, and was able to find a pattern from Hanstone that was similar to the Silestone that I liked even more. After my contractor installed my new vanity, Monarch came and created a careful template for the new top. A few weeks later, they installed it and it looks wonderful. The quality of the product, fabrication, and installation was great. I also really like the fact that I worked with a local company instead of HD.

From the start it was a pleasure to work with Monarch. When Jodi came out to give me a quote she not only did the measuring but also walked me through all of the decisions I needed to make, raising issues I never would have considered and questions I would not have known to ask. They were very flexible in scheduling and treated my relatively small job as if it was as important as any larger one. Once the countertops were installed it became apparent that there was a defect with the integral sink. The problem was not apparent during the fabrication process and was completely out of the control of Monarch. Boy do you find out a lot about a company when you have a problem and everything I found out about Monarch was good. Jodi followed up immediately, ensured that the vendor provided a new sink and coordinated the replacement process. All of the workmanship is excellent and my new countertops and sink are beautiful.

They ordered and stored the material as it was on sale and we were not quite ready to start. Jodi was good to work with, and had many helpful suggestions on choosing the material and style. They were prompt and did great work, even fixing a problem created by the contractor. We will use them again to do our kitchen.

We didn't really shop around for this job. We saw the reviews of Monarch and decided to give it a try. The first time we met Ken, we were sold by his professionalism. The price may not be the best in town, but the workmanship was excellent. We have a big garden window that is connected to the sink area., Ken managed to install a full piece without seam to cover the whole area. The old tile counter top was not quite leveled. It took Ken and his crew almost a full day to level the surface. Jodi is very professional and friendly as well. Overall, We are happy with Ken and Jodi, and we love our countertop.

After obtaining several bids for our kitchen countertop, we decided to go with Monarch Solid Surface because of all the positive comments they had on Angie's List. Jodi was very helpful and patient with us while we looked at numerous color samples until we finally made a selection after several weeks. Ken tore our the old kitchen tile, but still left us with a working kitchen until the new countertop was ready. Ken was very meticulous in installing the new countertop. Prior to installing the countertop, he had to spend a great deal of time leveling the top counter surface because of the condition it was in. The countertop looks great with seams that are unnoticeable. We were pleased with the quality of work and would recommend Monarch Solid Surface to anyone considering a new countertop.

The company is a husband and wife team. His wife explained the product to me. She did a good job and she was very knowledgeable about the product. I think the price was fair.

Overall, they did an OUTSTANDING job. My wife and I were very pleased by the work Ken and Jodi did for us. Their prices are very reasonable and the product's workmanship is EXCELLENT. If you want quality work done by professionals who know what they are doing, then you need to give Monarch a call. They are honest and hard working people who make it their job to satisfy each and every customer. I will definitely will be using their services when it comes time to order new counter tops for our kitchen. Ken and Jody are so easy to talk to about a project, it's like talking to a couple of friends.

We worked with Ken and Jodi for some time, having trouble with decisions/funding etc., but they stuck with us. I was glad when out of the blue, Jodi called to check the status of our decision and we took off from there. Not everything was perfect but it was very good. Mostly the work was done well, the countertops are wonderful and Ken went to extra effort for an overhanging countertop that needed support. Jodi worked hard to get us samples of various sizes, very generous in offers of advice etc. She helped us know which colors we chose would work well in our kitchen which is something she was very honest about and good at. Ken was great in putting in the sink and they made us extra trivets with leftover materials. One problem was lateness and not staying on schedule. We also had a difficulty with the caulk being the wrong color which perhaps could have been checked before starting the job, as this had occurred on another job Ken had had. That meant a second visit and again blocking off the kitchen with plastic thus making it unusable for several days. On the whole, this was hard work and we are happy with the results.

They were honest and accommodating. The craftsmanship was excellent. We were satisfied with the work that they did for us. We would use them again in the future.
