He arrived on time, it took him about 20-30 minutes to re-keyed 4 locks.

The representative, Darrin, was personable and professional. He worked diligently completing the work in less than an hour. His work was satisfactory with both locks working. Darrin didn't bring silicon with him so he wasn't able to securely attach the plate to the door.

Locksmith was very nice and came to install a peephole in my door. The peephole chosen was a good peephole with a nice wide viewpoint. The contractor came to install and my door split upon install. The installer scheduled additional time to come back and fix the look of the door split and to smooth it out and paint over the issue. I appreciated that he didn't leave me with the door like that and took the time to get all the components that he needed to complete my door. The peephole is now completed.

They were very professional. It was good. They got the job done in a very proffessional manner. When we had comments about it, they responded to those quite readily. We were pleased with them. There were things we really had to call them back but they did return to do them.

Darren (I hope I spelled that right) is a great locksmith. He rekeyed all my locks and also relubed them. When I had a problem with one of the locks (the fumigator's disabled them), he responded to my voicemail immediately and helped me troubleshoot the problem. Price was very competitive, and Darren is amiable and professional.

I called and spoke to Darren. He said that they did make house calls and would contact his Son, David, and see if he could come by and fix it for me. Darren called me back and said his Son would be at my house in 15 minutes. David arrived and removed part of the lock and took it to his car. He returned and put the lock together again and tested the key. He then told me that he had lubricated the key with a Teflon oil because the key was dirty and the lock dry. I tested both keys and they still were a bit sticky but did improve each time I used them. I asked if I should change the locks and he said no because the locks were still in good condition, just a little dry but that the Teflon oil should help with that.

Scheduled a same-day appointment. He arrived on time and fixed the bolt lock on the front door. However, the door handle (which was already "tight") became even "tighter" somehow by the fix. That is, you had to use extreme pressure to push the handle down in order to open the door. When I realized this, I ran back to the truck as he was pulling out to ask him about this. Without getting out of his truck, he said his changes would not have impacted this. He then drove away. I guess he had already been paid for a full hour (even though his work took less than 10 minutes) so he didn't care if there were additional problems to be looked at.

Our home was burglarized on the afternoon of the 10th and I realized on the morning of the 11th that our spare house keys were missing and while I am not sure the burglar took the keys; I was sure they were missing. I called Darrin at Modern Lock and told him our situation. He was able to adjust his schedule to come to our home that morning. I appreciated it very much because I was not leaving the house until the locks were changed. He was competent and professional, and charges were quite reasonable.
