After having an unsatisfactory experience with a mail-order maple company, I decided that I should pick out my trees in person. Shipping little trees just didn't seem to provide a good outcome to me. Turns out, I was dealing with an entirely different and better company by going with Maples for all Seasons. I don't live near Pleasanton, but it was worth the drive. You only get the address once you've communicated with the owner regarding when you will be stopping by to shop. This is an appointment only situation. He is out and about on pruning jobs, so he's not just sitting around waiting for folks to come by. Once you get there, you'll be taken on a tour of the merchandise. I simply told him what I needed and where I would be planting the trees. He was very helpful in helping me to select varieties that would be appropriate for my climate. He was also great about getting the trees into the car, protecting them with plastic, and providing enough literature and advice for how to care for them. This is where the difference comes in when buying maples. One does not simply dig a hole in the ground and plop them in and be done with it. I now know that there are a series of steps one must initiate before during and after planting. I was also counseled on how often to water. The other location I dealt with gave me the exact opposite advice and the trees died very quickly! I highly recommend this vendor. It pays to deal with experts who know their craft.

They are so professional. Sue trimmed one of the maples and also showed me how I could do it myself while she was doing the work. They were so friendly it felt like I'd known them my whole life. They had so much information to share and I learned a lot while they were here. They were very accomodating throughout the whole experience and actually asked if it would be okay if they delivered the tree rather than shipping it to me. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Maples For All Seasons Company charged us about a $1000 within the last six months but that included a lot of work and purchasing trees. They were excellent in all regards. I would definitely continue using them. They provide great service. They are smart people. They are very knowledgeable. They have good products.

They are arborists and they have a nursery that has all Japanese maples. They are by appointment only. They are a husband and wife. We had them out three times in this process.
