Washing machine (top loading) was making an awful metal grinding/clanking noise. We bought it in 2004 and this was the first time it has needed repair. I was worried that it will take awhile to repair: finding a repairman, scheduling the repair, having to take time off work, etc... I am thrilled with how fast and efficient LP Appliances Service was! I called on Friday afternoon & the washing machine was repaired by Saturday morning. We exchanged several calls & texts and he always picked up the phone immediately. Great communication! I did not have the model # when I originally called. He had me text it to him & called Maytag to double-check his "diagnosis". Couldn't be happier. If any other appliance starts acting up, they are first on my list.

Repairman replaced the deteriorated rubber seal on the dishwasher.

We called several other places and no one was available to come out right away except LP appliances. He arrived quickly, diagnosed the problem and replaced a valve within about an hour.

Service was prompt. He arrived prior to the scheduled appointment after confirming that we would be available early. He was very clear about what he found and how he determine the cause of the problem. At the end of the service he showed me how to check for this type of failure again to reduce my need for future service calls. All around excellent experience.

Excellent service. When I called he was here to repair the fridge within an hour, and he knew what was broken when I told him what had happened over the phone. The service call took less than 30minutes and cost less than $250. Highly recommend this company!!

We called Mr Pham late on Sunday. He asked if it would be OK to come the next day. We agreed to that. He came early Monday morning and found we needed a part. The part came in the next day and he came and installed the part right after it came in. He was very knowledgeable about diagnosing and fixing the problem.

We had a very good experience with LP Appliances. Lu was professional, knowledgeable and expedient in his service. Thankfully he made time for us the same day. We have a large family and a weekend day without a dryer is trauma! Lu gave us an estimated arrival time and came early, he took apart the dryer, knew exactly what was needed, provided his cost estimate, went out to get the parts, returned & completed the job. We won't hesitate to use LP Appliance again in the future!

From the moment I called, he had me explain the problem and he understood and brought all the tools and replacement parts in his truck. Extremely professional and very fun and very smart. I would say it only took from the phone call to having him replace the pumps and other pieces it only took a little over an hour. Terrific experience and would always call him back. His fee is much less than other repairman I called.Two I called said they couldn't fix the problem and wouldn't even come out, then I hit the jackpot.

It went very well: prompt. Price to time and materials ratio was a bit high on the dryer, but the bottom line is he is prompt, professional, friendly, clean and effective.

This experience was Amazing overall, I was thinking we would have to wait for days for someone to help us! Instead LP appliance came to our rescue!

Washer stopped spinning. Luan was on time. Quickly diagnosed that the motor wasnt working. He left and came back soon with a replacement motor. Washer started working on installation. Then he noticed two issues and fixed those as well. I am very happy i called him.

JUST as previous reviewers have described. The dryer had been struggling for a while but finally quit on July 3rd as all appliances must fail on holidays. I called LP Appliances and spoke with Luan. Why wait? He was available the next day, as were we, so he came over the morning of the Fourth of July. Unfortunately, he did not have the necessary parts with him in his truck. He would have gone that day to get them, but being the Fourth, he couldn't. He returned promptly the next day at my convenience and completed the job. He was efficient and friendly throughout all of our contact.

LP Appliance was great! Luan the repairman called to tell me when he would arrive and he was right on time. He diagnosed the problem quickly and had the material with him to fix it. My refrigerator was back to normal instantly. I will use this company again and recommend him to anyone who is in need of a quick reasonably priced repair.

I sent an email, expecting a reply on tuesday. he called, set up a time and came out the same day at 6:30 pm. He confirmed it rotated, fan worked, no gas heat, checked the sensors and diagnosed a failed gas valve solenoid. He replaced it and the dryer works again.

This appears to be a one man show - but he really knows his stuff. My 20 year old dishwasher wasn't getting the dishes clean, or even wet. He found that the motor/pump was leaking and that the solenoid valve was inopperative. He offered to replace the worn out parts, but suggested we get a new dishwasher instead and suggested several brands and vendors that were the right size (almost). We are torn because new ones are slightly larger and would stick out a little. Anyway, he found out what was broken, knew what to do, came right away (on a Saturday) and didn't charge too much.

This guy was fantastic. Gave some info on the phone, before even coming out. He was on time, describled problem and solution, cost, time to fix. Worked fast, effeciently. Stuck to his quote, which was VERY reasonable, almost too cheap. I gave him a 20% tip. He reviewed the risks of fixing a 10 year old refridgerator, was very honest, forthright and trustworthy. I'd defintely recommend, and I'll use them again, if needed

but the power outlet is losing one 110v out of the 2 (total 220v). He said he can try to work on the electrician part but that's not his expertise. If made it work, he world charge $90 for that; if not, he wouldn't charge a penny. After about 45 minutes, he told me it would be too much for me to crawl in my roof to check the wires/connectors. it would be better to leave it to an electrician. So he left without charging anything. I felt his honesty and praise his professionalism. I would definitely hire him again if another appliance of mine breaks.

Mr. Pham was great! My dryer broke down on the 4th of July and getting it repaired that day would usually have required extra charges. I called another company but they did not respond so I called Mr. Pham, who answered right away and said he would be able to come look at my dryer that day in the afternoon. I ended up scheduling him for the next day (simply due to family plans) but his charges would have been the same regardless of the holiday! He said he would arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 am and was at my door promtply at 8:45. He took off his shoes before entering my house....a small but very nice and respectful gesture. I explained that my dryer drum stopped rotating and Mr. Pham finished my sentence by telling me, "You heard a loud bang and clatter and then the dryer stopped turning, right?" He was absolutely right. He said it was a bearing problem and that it would cost $135 to fix it and would take him about 35 minutes to repair. 35 minutes later I gave him a check for $135 and was done!!!! Mr. Pham was very respectful, pleasant and professional! I told him I would call him for ALL future appliance repairs and would readily recommend him to all my friends and would happily place my very successful story on Angie's List. Use this gentleman for your appliance repairs! He is golden in the service world!

OUR 2006 GE FRIDGE STOPPED FREEZING AND COOLING LATE ON A SATURDAY EVENING AND I CALLED SEARS ON SUNDAY TO SCHEDULE A REPAIR BUT WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL TUESDAY 3 1/2 DAYS OF FOOD UNFREEZING AND SPOILING! NO BETTER APPOINTMENT FROM SEARS. RIGHT THEN I JOINED ANGIE'S LIST AND FOUND LP APPLIANCES, IT APPEARS THEY WORK EVERYDAY OF THE YEAR (MOST OF IT ANYWAY); I SPOKE WITH LOU PHAM AT 1:30 PM THAT SUNDAY (HE WAS ON A SERVICE CALL) AND HE PROMISED HE WOULD BE AT OUR HOUSE BETWEEN 3 AND 3:30 (FROM SAN JOSE TO HAYWARD). HE ARRIVED AT 3:45, ASSESSED THE PROBLEM, QUOTED 2 COSTS DEPENDING ON WHICH PART NEEDED REPLACING, HAD BOTH PARTS ON HIS TRUCK, FOUND IT WAS THE PART WITH THE LOWER COST.ESTIMATE HE. HE SAID IT WOULD TAKE ABOUT AN HOUR.AND WAS DONE BY 4:45. THE FRIDGE/FREEZER BEGAN COOLING RIGHT AWAY AND WE LOST ONLY A MINIMAL AMOUNT OF FOOD. MR. PHAM WAS PROMPT, EFFICIENT, COURTEOUS, USED BOOTIES, AND KNEW WHAT THE HECK HE WAS DOING SO YES WE ARE VERY HAPPY AND WOULD DEFINITELY USE HIS SERVICE AGAIN AND RECOMMEND HIM TO OTHERS.

Our overall experience with LP Appliances was great and at a very inconvenient time. I would call Mr. Pham again before anyone else, great person and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone and everyone!!

He was extremely punctual. He is knowledgable and he fixed the problem. There was a problem with one of the pieces he put in. He redid the whole thing and didn't charge us a penny. He said if there were any more problems, to call him back. He was extremely polite and cleaned his work space.

He was honest, on time, and his work was good. I thought he made good recommendations. I will use him again.

The repair man responded within an hour of of contract. This was on a holiday and there was no extra charge. He was very efficiant and explained all of the tasks that he was performing. The neccesary parts were avaiable in his truck and hecomplted the work on our refridgerator in a resonable amount of time. I will definately contacet him for any further appliance repair work.

I checked Angie's List reviews for LP Appliance from folks having similar problems; it seemed I could expect to pay up to $150. That was acceptable, so I contacted LP Appliance Services, which is located in San Jose. LUAN PHAM explained up front that there would be a $35 surcharge due to the location of my property, to which I agreed. He immediately contacted the tenants, made an appointment that day (Saturday) to which he showed up promptly. He diagnosed the problem as a freon leak, which could not be repaired; he called as soon as the problem was diagnosed to advise me that I needed to purchase a new refrigerator. Because of his prompt information, I was able to take advantage of Memorial Day sales at Lowes. There was no additional charge for the diagnosis beyond the $35 trip fee.
