LAMPS PLUS

Fantastic service from start to finish - I wish we had called them sooner. We had been looking to replace two older ceiling fans and install a new one in a room with a light fixture but no ceiling fan. We had initially tried to do this with a big name home store (name withheld to protect the guilty) but this turned out to be a poor choice: they did not have the fans we wanted, they provided zero help in selection of the fans and the subcontracted installer could not install one of the fans because he was not licensed to "add ceiling mounts." Inexcusable when the entire idea was to add fans ... in addition, the cost would have been $150 per install plus potential "additional" charges. All of this changed when we went to Lamps Plus. Two weeks prior to the install we went to the Blossom Hill Store and had an associate walk us through many options for fans (we had looked online previously). It was nice to see the fans in action and not just on the box. The staff there listened to what we wanted and they found the perfect fans for the rooms - they did not try to oversell fans too large for the room etc. It turns out the selected fans were the perfect choice as they are the right size, reversible flow, silent, had a true low ceiling mount and best of all remote controlled. We purchased the fans and had to pick them up from the store. I can't recall if Lamps Plus has an option for additional charge tor the installers to deliver the fans, so if you can't transport the fans yourself that could be an issue. The installers were professional, quick and attentive. It wound up costing only $100 per fan, which was not only lower than the previously quoted price, but the installers made sure the install was done right. They changed one of the light switches for us (in the room w/o a fan) as well as mounted the remotes onto the walls (where the little kids could not reach them ...). We were thrilled. The only downside to the install service was that they do not haul away the older fans - not clear if they have a haul away service. But in our case it is not a problem. Overall we were quite happy and would definitely recommend the service. I don't know if the service charge is more if you have your own fans to install, but in the end the selection and cost was worth it to keep it all at Lamps Plus.

They were here for less than an hour. Climbed up into the attic and did an excellent job. We had an appointment after we bought the fan. We did not want to wait for a week as it was very hot and they did a great job! They came on time and the price for installation was reasonable.

I bought the ceiling fans at the store. Two employees came out to install the 3 fans. It was a pretty easy job, as my rooms were already pre-wired for this. They did a professional and clean job. The fans work great.

HE WAS COURTEOUS AND PUNCTUAL. HE RECOMMENDED A LONGER POLE FOR BETTER CIRCULATION IN THE VAULTED ROOM AND WORKED ON ANOTHER PROJECT WHILE I LEFT TO PURCHASE IT. WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE OUTCOME OF BOTH FAN INSTALLATION AND CEILING REPAIR. I WAS GLAD THAT SERVICE WAS OFFERED EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A SEPARATE CHARGE. IT ALL GOT DONE AT ONCE.
