+ -1 moreVery good experience, much better than expected based on scope of job. Knight started and finished on time. Workers were professional and cleaned up everything everyday before leaving. I have no complaints and would definitely use Knight Landscape Construction again.
Description of Work: Complete front & back yard design and installation. Demo and removal of existing redwood deck, concrete pathways, lawn, plants and fruit trees (mostly dead or dying), fences and gate. Installation of colored concrete exposed aggregate patio and walkways, brick dividers, brick front porch in herringbone pattern, rock salt finished pool deck, drainage system, Vista professional lighting, sprinkler & drip irrigation system, automatic timer, redwood arbor attached to house, 6'H redwood good neighbor fence, redwood gate, new sod, trees and plants.

+ 2 moreIt took awhile, but the result was more than worth it! The design was good and the execution was amazing. Throughly happy with the job done.
Description of Work: Designed and landscaped my backyard. Poured concrete, laid irrigation, planted plants, installed watering system timer. Installed grass and tan bark for play structure. Fixed drainage problem. Laid drainage system under concrete to street.

+ 1 moreKnight's work was integrated with some other companies with remodeling my backyard pool, pool deck and surrounding landscaping. Knight was very prompt, worked around other contractors. Hector, the foreperson was very easy to work with.
Description of Work: Demolition of old concrete block planter, removal of old plants, installation of irrigation and lighting.

+ -1 moreOne of their references had alluded to their weakness with the softscapes, but we didn't pay enough attention to it. However, we liked the hardscape part enough to call them back in 2006 for a quote on some tile installation for our front steps. They missed the 1st appointment and didn't call. Out of the 5 quotes we received, 2 were for $1k, 2 were for $2.5k, and Knight's was $4.3k. This was for labor only to install 100 sq. ft. of tiles on our front steps in a straight pattern. No bullnosing. We didn't hire them for the 2nd job and won't be calling them back for anything else.
Description of Work: In 2003, we hired Knight to install a flagstone path and to plant ground cover between those flagstones. We thought they were nice people and the flagstone path was great, but the ground cover died within a few months, after the rain stopped & the 6 months warranty period was over. The soil they used was inappropriate for the ground covers and the watering system they installed was inadequate.

+ -1 moreThey did a very good job. They did beautiful work on the flagstone and the pool is awesome. They were very professional, they were on time and they know what they are doing. They did everything exactly the way we wanted. I would highly recommend them.
