JET ELECTRIC

Here is a rundown of what happened. My spa's electrical box was sparking. I called First American home warranty to have it repaired. They chose Jet Electric. On the appointment time, they were late by more than 1 hour, and explained that it was because they were too busy with mainly commercial repairs, not residential, as the previous review stated. And based on the age of people that showed up, this doesn't feel like a company that has been in business for 30 years. They opened the box and said that the thing is fried, and will take away the electrical panel to get a replacement, plus it was late already. The next day, some other people showed up, and asked us what the problem was. I was not happy at all to have to explain the problem all over again, especially when the person that showed up didn't even know that my electrical panel was taken so they can get a replacement. So again, he diagnosed the problem and says that the needs to come back again because he needs to get the parts. Few days later, the company called and said that they can't do the repair because First American will not cover damaged relays. I checked the contract and it was written clearly that they don't cover relays, so although I am not happy, there is nothing I can do. Jet Electric then offered to do the repair for lots of money, something like one or two thousands, I can't remember the exact amount. Before, when they took the panel, they say they will just get a replacement and that is it. Now, they claim it is complicated because the wiring looks old, my main electrical box looks old, and it might not be up to the local building code standard and that they need to do extra work. I decided not to do the work, and asked them to return my electrical panel, and they said okay. At first, they will return my call but just kept saying that they are too busy to return it. Later, they just completely ignore my calls. So I am missing an electrical panel now. And even though I paid them on the first visit, Jet Electric still claims to First American home warranty company that I never paid Jet Electric. I had to get a copy of the cleared check to show First American that I did indeed pay them. So late, bad service, and take customer's property without return it, I would not recommend anybody to work with this company.

This is an excellent company. They show up on time. I've been using them for the past 30 years. They fix electrical problems in my home & several rental properties. They only do residential work & it seems I've used them several thousand times. They are really good. They're professional & they're the best. I'd recommend them to anyone.
