The outlet issue was a tripped fuse. Richard charged me for gas only. The ceiling lights I purchased from a home improvement store with stained glass bafflels. The guys did a nice job. Clean and neat. I have new controls at the front door that brightly light up the room. We want to spend more time in the front room now. They did not charge me for the kitchen lights. I feel a little guilty about that. We always seem to have other little electrical tasks that I remember when they come over, including taking their truck battery out to start my van when the battery was dead in the past. They did not change the quote. They are not in the contractor's hurry up mode. They do take the time to do a good job. The house is older and made of brick and mortar. It takes a lot of effort, experience and patience to get through these walls. They have done work here in the past and we are planning some other work in the future as I can afford it.

When we looked them up on Angie's List they had great reviews and people mentioned that they were very professional and paid great attention to detail and they defiantly lived up to the reviews. They did a great job and the quality of the work was excellent.

Richard answers his phone and came out quickly to give an estimate. No waiting, he gave an estimate on the spot. He is patient and experienced in kitchen design. He helped me solve a major problem in the design that was holding up the remodeling. He did not charge me more when several other boxes needed to be placed. Nor does he get irritated when the plan needed to be changed. He and his assistant did a nice job, I feel safer in the house. They additionally repaired an unsafe junction box issue that I did not know existed. He not only did the electrical, but looked at the kitchen as a whole and had a lot of good advice. The estimates I got for the work ranged from 700 to 6 thousand dollars. So the price was very reasonable. We plan to have him back in the future for other work. I have no hesitation to recommend him.

My wife was very happy with the installation and the fact that Richard and his team were very polite.

Rick and one helper (I didn't get the name) performed the work well, and they were very nice. They were on time for the appointment to do the work. The appointment to do the estimate was canceled twice, both times about an hour after the scheduled time. It was not a good first impression, but I liked their service in the end. In particular because they charged a lot less than another electrician I called before. The first one didn't want to come out for an estimate and insisted that he had to create a new circuit only after asking a few questions. He wanted to charge $425 compared to the $130 that I paid with J&R Electrical. Rick came out to do the estimate and decided that a new circuit was overkill.

I had no problems with their work and I have used their company for two years. Richard Ramos is the owner and contact person, he is a nice guy. We have been pleased with the work and the lighting looks great.
