The work is still incomplete and they've been really difficult to deal with. They don't communicate with each other and they don't show up when they say they're going to. I can't get a straight answer from my sales person (Sherida), the project manager (Alan), or any of the guys who've been at my house doing the work. The counters are done and they look great, but there are holes in my cabinets from where they drilled, and then left without putting the handles in. For some reason, when I call to ask when they're going to complete the work, they sound surprised. I wish I could go back 3 weeks and pick a different vendor! The new island--basically 2 cabinets pushed together with a granite top--isn't great quality, and there are a few small pieces of unfinished wood sticking out at the bottom.
Description of Work: They removed my kitchen island, installed a new one (2 cabinets put together), and installed new granite countertops and backsplash on all kitchen counter surfaces. I also had them install handles on my existing cabinets.

I would recommend them but with a few warnings - there are language issues while dealing with them. Grace is the main project quoter and speaks English with a heavy Chinese twang. Unfortunately she being the head honcho brings this company down. She over promises and under delivers. Be sure to put a penalty on them taking longer than promised. Also you need to be extremely careful about what materials they are putting in. If you are not smart they'll slip low quality or shoddy work in. We caught every shoddy job they did and made them redo it. They have a project manager, Steve, who is very responsible - unfortunately he has no power and has to defer to Grace. On the whole I'd say go with them if you don't care about the very fine details. They are very good on pricing and my kitchen looks beautiful. If I had Steve as my manager from the start maybe it would have gone better. This was not a horror story but there definitely were some challenges.
Description of Work: They remodeled my kitchen completely. Gutted everything and rebuilt.

I won/paid for an online auction, $900 worth of oak flooring. However, because I wanted it in my kitchen, they recommended laminate. Though the value was less, I was willing to go with it. They scheduled the job for 11/1 morning, but canceled it in the late afternoon of 10/31. The representative at Iping told me that they had too much work and they were going to leave the auction winners jobs till ''next year'', and that if I didn't like it, I could contact the SJ Mercury News for a refund. That's what I did, and luckily I got my money back. It was a very bizarre experience. I wish I had consulted Angie's List before I bid on this auction item. I hate to give a bad review to anyone. But I don't think customer service is their priority.
Description of Work: They NEVER installed flooring that they were scheduled to install. I did my research on the internet and asked questions about engineered wood, hardwood and laminate. Though their web site advertises engineered wood, Iping said that it was not in stock. When I asked about underlayment grades, she just said they'd double layer and charge me the standard underlayment. She was unsure as to whether they could get matching trim/molding from the manufacturer. The web site's online message submittal form didn't work and it was impossible to get through to the fax. Calls were not returned until I sent them an email. The reason they gave for canceling was that they were too busy and that the auction only gave them advertising, not money! The paper got the money, evidently.
