Complete. Replaced basic thermostat. Total time on site was 33 minutes. Total bill was $391. Desperate after three days without heat so agreed to charges and paid.

Excellent communication and installation

They were so nice. We just had started the cold weather, when you turn on, it's cold and you turn on your furnace and nothing happens. Then you call and nothing happens and everybody else was calling too, I tried several people, and no one was available. So I called back and I finally got this man.

The man arrived on time. Mild argument about parking permit (we live in permit pkg neighborhood). Although I didn't specifically request it, he didn't inform me about how much repairs would cost. He expertly fixed our furnace and relit pilot light. He explained about the machinery. I had bought an online coupon through AL, and provider office knew that. Unfortunately, he didn't know about it, but he graciously applied it. Had I forgotten about it, I would have been charged more.

They did a great job. They were so nice. They did a complete maintenance. There was a wire loose which is why the furnace wouldn't come on. He made sure to check everything and make sure that he could get everything fixed. He explained everything that he was doing. Out of the 15 people that I called this was the only company that had a spot for me the very next day. Everyone else was giving me Friday or Monday.

The tune-up went well. No problems were detected. Offered suggestions for keeping the furnace and a/c working properly.

There was no cost and I like them. They are very responsive and I don't feel like I'm being ripped off. Everything is fine.

I was fortunate to get the owner Steve Hussey on my service call who supplemented his staff at this busy time of year. He is very professional. courteous, and punctual. He takes pride in his company and seeks a longterm business relationship with his customers. He had to come back on two additional days to buy replacement parts to complete the service but was always on schedule. I did not feel he was trying to upsell. All in all, he gives up to date professional service at a fair price in a timely fashion. I felt that both customer and service provider were happy with the business transaction. He left me the service manuals for the Carrier furnance and for the Honeywell thermostat which will be a good resource if we need future service. I will use his company again if the quality of service persists.

Absolutely outstanding!!!!! Hussey Brothers is well deserving of its excellent ratings. The quality and thoroughness of the service from providing the initial estimate through to completion of the project was outstanding. Steve Hussey came to the house to go over the details of the estimate and the various steps involved in the project. He asked questions as to what we wanted such as size of the new hot water heater to ensure we would get what we really wanted. Both of the techs who installed the hot water heater, furnace, and A/C system were equally well qualified. In fact, one tech has worked for Hussey Brothers for 23 years. An added benefit we received was the solution of a mystery by this particular tech. I had been telling my husband for years that my sewing room had not been receiving heat or A/C. The tech climbed up in to the attic and found the duct leading to this room had become detached thereby causing the heat or cool air to remain in the attic. This problem might not have been spotted if the tech had not done such a thorough job of inspecting the overhead duct work. Once the new equipment was installed, Steve Hussey came back and went over everything and immediately took care of a small sound in the air conditioner. The outstanding service also included ensuring the proper permits were obtained. We passed our city inspection with flying colors thanks to the excellent work of Steve Hussey and his techs. The inspector repeatedly used the works "excellent job" during the inspection. He was in and out of the house in less than ten minutes!

The service person was very thorough & responsive to questions & concerns. Completed the job & let me know that if I had any future problems they would take care of them.

I got this company from Angie's List and . The people I interacted with they had a salesman who sold the job and then they haver one of the bothers which was the operation persons. They are both good. The guy out in the field was good and even the receptionist was good. They get the person right away if you needed someone right away. They let you know when the job was gonna start and who is doing what. It's an excellent company. I'm quite impress with them.

Went very well. Hussey Bros. installed our new furance and a/c unit back in October 2010 and did an excellant job. My next door neighbor also used Hussey Bros. for his a/c unit.

They came out a day after I called them and they have been fabulous. They have been on time, the technician is knowledgeable and informative. They are tidy and they are wonderful. They informed me of the time that they would be arriving and they arrived within the time window which was only half an hour of window so that was very nice. The technician walked me through what he was doing, what went wrong with the Air conditioner, what potentially could be wrong and costly, and what would be relatively minor repair and it turned out to be what I needed that I had a cool and slow week. And he had to come back on a different day after the Air conditioner had been off for a while that he could locate the leak in the attic. That can currently take up to 4 hours just to locate but he located it within an hour and he welded it closed, and now he is checking so that it is all working and it's all functioning properly. He couldn't be more courteous, helpful and friendly. I don't know much about Air conditioning, he explains so much to me and I really felt confident that I wasn't being taken advantage of.

Generally well, but took longer than originally planned.

lCalled Hussey Bros on Fri evening and left a voice mail. Monday morning they left me a voice mail and we talked and scheduled an appointment for quote. Steve Verna came over as scheduled and was very professional and gave the quote. I already had most of the other work done (already had evaporator coil+panel upgraded etc.). So the work was to install the new unit and to run the pipes from the unit to the furnace. Steve look at all the existing stuffs and gave an approximate quote. Next day I got a formal quote over email from Steve. Meanwhile I also talked to couple more contractors. Steve's turned out to be the most reasonable, cost-wise and warranty-wise.. Had a little tough time to coordinate for a proper install time and final amount (some confusion where the other Steve said that it should actually be couple of hundreds more, but they did honor the original price. The folks who came to install were also very courteous and professional. They could have finished the install in one day, but took two days as they had some other unfinished work (I had been told they will take 2 days.). Overall I was very happy with my experience with them.

Our main AC unit packed up and died early Saturday morning on a day with record highs forecast. I called several shops but only Hussey Brothers got back to me immediately. Within 2 1/2 hours Steve was on-site and fixing the blown capacitor. Now, just 3 hours after my initial call, the AC unit is purring along and our house is cooling down.

It took over a week for them to return my initial call. Then when he came out, he assessed our problem and made a recommendation for one of his workers to contact us to schedule work. We also asked for a quote to install air conditioning. That was on on February 20th and as of today, April 11th, they still have not called or sent a quote. This was a waste of my and my husband's time. If they don't want the work, why bother with the initial visit?

I called Hussey Bros to provide a quote for replacing an old furnace which they had installed for the previous owners > 20 years. Steve was intent on providing a similar replacement furnace without addressing my expressed issues with the existing furnace setup 1. Noise level generated by the burners and the blower wheel. His recommendation was for me to stuff the cabinet with faced fiber glass batts and attach drywall to cabinet door. 2. Hole made in the subfloor for combustion air which only increases the heat loss. He was insistent that drawing the combustion air from the crawl space was a good thing as the air would already be "conditioned". 3. His recommendation for the duct work was that I should continue using the existing ducting and if I needed to replace it, I would be better off doing it myself. He also promised to give me a quote by Wednesday afternoon of the same week (03/06) but did not. I contacted Hussey Bros via Angie's List to find out the status of the quote ~ 1 week later but did not get any response at all. Impressive for a repeat winner of Angie's List Super Service award. I found out today (03/20) that Steve Verna had sent the quote to an incorrect e-mail address. There was no reason to consider the proposal reasonable as the fundamental requirements (1. Reduced noise level 2. Improved home efficiency) were never addressed.

My radiant heating went out over the weekend. I was surprised how few shops supported anything beyond forced air, modern HVAC systems. I called several heating repair businesses and Hussey Bros was one of the few that had someone actually pick up the phone. They were able to send somebody same day to look into the issue. Claudio was the technician who arrived promptly. He diagnosed the problem quickly and stuck around to make sure the fix worked. He was pleasant and professional. The rate I received from Hussey was 15-50% cheaper than anyone else I called. I highly recommend them.

Prior to the purchase decision, they answered all my questions and were most helpful. Steve Hussey actually fixed a wiring problem with our old upstairs furnace during his walk through. I got two other quotes and went with Hussey Bros primarily due to their customer service during the quoting process and the confidence in them that I gained as a result. They were also the least expensive when you factored in the air duct cleaning, their discounts and all the services they include with the purchase. They showed up exactly on time, performed the work as described and were extremely neat, clean and professional throughout the entire process. They, "test drove" the systems to ensure they worked properly. They did a great job of training me on the new thermostats and encouraged me to call any time should I have any questions or issues. We are extremely happy with Hussey Bros and highly recommend them.

Late on a Thursday night (first cold night of the season) our tenants called to report the heating system was not working. Next morning every AC/Heating company in the area was booked into the next week. On the 7th company we got lucky and Hussey Bros of Santa Clara was able to help us. In less than 30 min they were on site. The technician (Johnny B.) was prompt and very courteous. Upon inspecting the thermostat and heater he found that it was simply a clogged bulkhead port. He cleaned it out and verified the system was working promptly. From past experiences I know other companies would come up with some complicated reasons why it failed and charge more. We were extremely pleased with the prompt response and quality of work.

We had originally asked for a quote two and a half years ago. Steve Hussey came to our house, measured, looked over our existing AC installation, and gave us a quote and a recommendation to redo the condensate drain, and described how it could be done. We were very impressed, but before we could schedule the project, we had family issues take precedence, and we failed to do the project at that time. This year when the circumstances were right, we contacted Steve again, because we had been so impressed with his thoroughness and professionalism. We got a new quote (prices had gone up, rebates were no longer available) and told Steve to schedule us. He didn't have the unit we wanted in stock, but was able to get one quickly and schedule us within a couple of days. His technicians, Scott and Rodney, showed up on time, were very polite and professional, and did an outstanding job. Scott explained many of the details of what they were doing as they went along, which paid off when the building inspector came the following Monday, and I was able to answer his questions and point out some of the subtler details to him. The building inspector was very impressed with the quality of the work, and commented a couple of times about how he had seen other contractors cut corners to meet the code in a minimal way as opposed to this job that was done to the highest standards.

Our AC was not working over the past really hot weekend. We called Hussey Bros. Inc at ~11am for diagnostics and repair. They scheduled an appointment on the same day at 230pm. They communicated with us again ~30min prior to the technician's arrival Claudio arrived promptly at 230pm. He determined and fixed the problem. He also gave us cost-effective solutions to other AC problems we had. This company is definitely not about overselling or overpricing. I will use them again in the future for any ac/heating problems. They were excellent and were on time and very professional. They did not try to sell us something that we did not need.

It went better than anticipated. No overselling of unneeded parts or service.
