House Doctor Painting

I contacted the provider via Angie's List on a Saturday evening, and Kelly responded on Sunday. We set up an appointment for a bid on Monday afternoon. Kelly came out and gave me a very reasonable bid. I needed to have some siding and fascia boards replaced prior to paint, so Kelly recommended his handyman Roy. I called Roy and he came out on Tuesday afternoon to give me a bid. I had one other contractor come by on Tuesday early evening. However, I decided to go with Kelly and Roy because their bids were reasonable, and I simply liked them. :) Roy and his crew started work on the siding and fascia the very next day, Wednesday. They were done by late Saturday afternoon. They cleaned up after themselves each evening and did a great repair job. I was more than happy with the work. As a matter of fact I think I've found myself a really good handyman! I wound up calling Roy to do a little additional work after he was finished with the initial job, and I was just as happy with that. Once the house was ready for paint, I called Kelly on Monday (exactly a week since his bid). I let him know that the house was ready for paint, and I was in a bit of a hurry to get the painting done. We scheduled for the following Monday. However, Kelly had a schedule change, so his crew was able to do the job on Thursday that same week! Six guys came out at 8:00am, power washed the house, primed the house, then painted the body, siding, and trim exactly as I had requested. (I'm an engineer, so I can be a real pain about details.) They were done by 3:30pm. Again I was more than happy with the work. I heartily recommend Kelly and Roy.

I left a message on Angie's list for House Doctors on a Friday night, not expecting to hear back until Monday. But Kelly called us on Saturday and scheduled an appointment to give an estimate on Sunday. We had looked at several other options and were very impressed after talking with Kelly and with the quoted price. Before painting we had some termite damage and dry rot repairs needing to be addressed. Kelly recommended a handyman, Roy who we contacted that afternoon. Roy came out within an hour and quoted us for the repairs. His crew started work on Monday and completed the repairs on Wednesday. I then contacted Kelly to get on their schedule. We were pleasantly surprised that they were actually able to start work the next day. His crew arrived promptly and finished the job in four days. This included adding the re-staining of a large, two-level deck in the back yard. They were friendly and very receptive to our requests. We had severe peeling and damage on the wood-sided gables that required extra care in prepping. They worked diligently until we were very happy with the results. Everything looks great and we can?t believe that the entire project was done 8 days after our initial conversation! I think the timing was a fortunate aligning of schedules, but we are very happy customers, and with the 5-year guarantee, we are hoping to not have to paint again for a long time.

House Doctor Painting was a pleasure to do business with. Kelly was prompt and professional from the initial appointment to dropping off color samples to final inspection. The professionalism extended to the crew - arrived on time, completely prepped and painted the exterior in a little over eight hours, left the property clean. They were also accommodating in taking care of any last-minute requests. Most importantly, the house looks better than it has in years. Great job at a great price.

Kelley (the owner) was very responsive providing the initial estimate, dropping off 2 sets of paint boards on 2 different days, responding to text messages and calls and scheduling the job. The 3 colors and where they would be applied were passed on to the paint crew exactly as requested. The crew of 5 arrived at 8 am and was done by 4. They were courteous, efficient, very clean and focused. They were meticulous with masking off the gutters, downspouts and windows and covering all areas on which paint might fall. I was very impressed with how clean everything was when they left, including labeling the leftover paint cans! And of course the house looks great!

This was the one of the easiest jobs we have had done on our house. Saw deal for $2495.00 on Angie's list for House Doctor Painting. I signed up for it and Kelly the owner, called me and we set up date for him to see our house. He was right on time and showed me some damaged areas on house that would need repair before painting. Kelly gave me name of handyman he uses and I called him that afternoon. Roy- the handyman came out and gave reasonable price for repairs and completed all of them the next day. I contacted Kelly, gave paint choices (2 colors), he then contacted me two days later and his crew came out next day and completed the house painting and prep in one day. Kelly McKinley did a great job painting the exterior of my building. He was punctual, professional, organized, and gave excellent advise on color choice. His team was cooperative, efficient, and friendly. Everything from start to finish went very smoothly. I was extremely satisfied with the outcome of the job overall and would definitely recommend him.

The service was pretty good. They went with me afterwards to see if everything was okay and they answered all my questions beforehand. They even helped me to pick out the color.

The crew arrived on time and were friendly enough although they appeared to be much more interested in the World Cup soccer match being broadcast on the radio. We took them around the house and showed them the work to be done. We noticed that they weren't taping off the areas nor providing any furniture or floor coverings. They assured us that they had a technique that rendered those preparations unneccessary. We should have known better. Sure enough, there were areas where the paint bled over from one wall to another, and even onto our fixtures, baseboards, framework, etc. It was difficult to really see it until after they'd left and the paint had dried. We have contacted them several times to come back and perform the necessary corrections. At first we received no response, then we were told they would come out, but as yet, they've never shown up and now they're back to not returning our calls. Definitely do not recommend this service to anyone who wants a sharp, neat work product.

Guys did a professional and thorough job in a timely manner.

Very good. Very minor touch ups needed. Understandable. Six men per day for 4 days. Owner came to give me estimate for interior painting after exterior completed. Said he would get back to me with the numbers. Never did. Only thing I can figure is that I recalled him saying an add on for painting top of small carport would be $150. When foreman gave me bill that number was $300. I called owner who said make adjustment when writing check. I did. Though the info on the company states accepts credit cards he said needed check, In hindsight he may have said $300. I intended to add the $150 to interior paint job. Clean up was ok but left minor debris scattered all around perimeter of my home. I had gardener pick it up.

The painters was op time and did a good job. They were very fast completed outside house in on day. Painters were friendly.

Awesome! Called Kelly on a weekend, he stopped by the same day. Once colors were chosen, he gave us samples, and were able to paint, the next day. 100% fantastic! Would use again, and again. Wish we had more to paint.

The house doctor came out to give us an estimate-was able to hand us the estimate before he left. Great suggestions, easy to talk to, very knowledgeable, explained process. Actual workers were great! Worked very hard and were so nice and courteous. The whole process was much easier on us than we expected.

The entire job took only two days (one and a half really) the first day they primed and prepped the home and the second day arrived right on schedule (8 am) and were finished by 4:30 that afternoon. Very professional, very competent, they did an excellent job. They also removed the old, and somewhat corroded light fixtures and replaced them with new ones that I purchased, even spending extra time to install the new ones since their base was a bit larger than the old ones were. I would highly recommend House Doctor Painting, from first to last they were outstanding in every way.

They were very professional and also gave us an estimate of dry wrought issue. He was very thorough about what needed to be done. He seemed like he knew exactly what needed to be done. I was impressed. We have narrowed it down to this company and another. Should be making our decision soon.
