On time, efficient, and very accommodating.

I originally connected with Kelly because I was calling through the Angie's List offerings and he's the only one who answered the phone. We met the next morning at the property, he gave me an estimate on the spot, along with advice on colors and painting techniques. The following morning a lot of painters showed up and dove into the place, and in 2 days the work was complete and looking great. So from the time I first talked to Kelly to having a completed painted townhouse was 3 days; Kelly's a professional businessman and he and his crew don't mess around, they get they job done. Recommended!

Kelly is fast and straighforward. He works with a large team and they do an excellent job. They alsHe also referred us to an excellent handyman, who replaced a lot of damaged wood on our house at a reasonable price. If you want to spend time selecting paint colors, go to the store and look around. It is hard to do that using only the website and brochures.

Overall was very good. A little problem confirming start day. Kelly lost his cell phone and mine was turned off when he first called. It took a little longer than expected.

On painting day the team, headed up by Junior, was in here in force and on time. We were bubble wrapped inside the house, and they were very careful and thorough. My shutters were painted, and Junior made a trip out to Lowe's to pick up a drill bit so he could install them. The house numbers were re-attached. Everything was cleaned up thoroughly, and I walked around the house when they were finished and approved the job. I have nothing but good things to say about the entire process: professional, fast, thorough and careful. :-) My house is single story, just under 1900 square feet.

House Doctor Painting painted the interior of my house. Preparation was poor to non-existent. Two of the major problems were not properly preparing the existing oil-based paint so the new paint would adhere to the old paint, and not cleaning areas of dust and dirt prior to painting. The result is that the new paint is peeling off of the old paint, and the areas that were not cleaned prior to spraying of the new paint are like sandpaper due to the dust in the paint coating. Other problems: - improper protection in the area to be sprayed, allowing the paint spray to go out the open windows and coat the window screens, - touching up areas by brushing fresh paint over the previously painted (and dried) paint which results in a very visible patch, - dry brushing touch-up paint so it looks like someone sanded the paint with a very coarse sandpaper, - use of a lower quality paint, - it was noted on the estimate that they would stipple areas that had been patched to match the existing stippling and take care of nail pops on the walls and ceiling; they didn't do it, - did not remove mildew before painting the drywall and window sill around the living room window with the result that the paint peeled off when I removed the mildew, - Numerous places where they missed painting, - in the bathrooms left over spray on the toilet lid, lavatory and floor, - missed painting the medicine cabinet trim in two bathrooms - even though the paint color had been specified for the walls they used a lighter color of their choice rather than the specified color This is not a painting company that can be expected to do a competent painting job. The owner does not return phone calls after they have left the job. I can only guess it's because he does not want to fix the mess he made. I do not recommend using them and they should not be recommended by Angie's List.

Reasonable price. Started job as scheduled. Job took a bit longer than expected, but not an issue. painter came back for touch ups within a week after I mentioned the need for some repairs. Overall the job went well.

Excellent. Company has top notch professionalism and competitive prices for high quality of service. One day they showed up earlier that planned, this was not a problem for me but my tenants complained.

Kelly and Anna were very responsive and answered any questions I had before we started. Anna dropped off the sample boards of the colors I requested. I made my selections and we were ready to schedule the painting. The painters were on time and very helpful when I asked them to fix or change something. They did a good job and the house looks great!I

When the owner (Kelly) came out to provide a quote, he estimated that the work would take seven days; which it did. There were days where Marco had 3 or 4 teams of four painters working on the job. Marco was very responsive when addressing my concerns, requests, and color changes. They arrived promptly every morning and cleaned up every evening before they left. All the painters were polite and courteous. They also took special care and respect for the property I didn't want painted/damaged. I would definitely use the House Doctor Painting Inc again.

I set up an appointment with the proprietor, Mr. McGinley, to provide an estimate for some exterior painting. We agreed on a time and date. I arranged to be home for that time. The day before I received a voice mail from him saying he had "driven all over Sunnyvale" and couldn't find my address. Apparently he did not realize that streets continue on the other side of the Cal Train tracks. I returned his call to pinpoint my location and said I looked forward to seeing him the following day at our appointment. He neither called nor showed. He just wasted my time. I delayed in reporting my disappointment, thinking he might still call. But no luck. Very unprofessional and disrespectful of the customer's time.

Our experience with House Doctor Painting was as close to perfect as you can get. We were looking for a full exterior repainting. The owner (Kelly) met with us and provided an estimate on the spot. He clearly has a lot of experience, and had painted several of our neighbors? houses. Their estimate was about 10% lower than the next lowest estimate. The project was completed literally in just one day. We are extremely happy with the result. Not only does the freshly-painted house look like new, but the paint job itself is close to perfect. Plus, the workers moved everything away from the house, and moved it back without incident. They also cleaned up a few random paint spots without hesitation. Overall, they really cared about doing it right and making sure I was 100% satisfied. Even though I was 100% happy with the project, Kelly came by the next day to make sure and to look at it himself. He found a few places that needed touch-up and he went around with the paint himself and perfected it. I was really impressed by the overall experience and would highly recommend them! It goes to show that sticking with 4 and 5-star contractors on Yelp and Angie?s List will not let you down.

The company owner responded quickly to my request for a bid. He even came over on a Sunday to view the job. His employees acted in a professional manner and did a job. My wife and I are both pleased with the overall experience.

First off, I have to say, House Doctor met or exceeded my expectations. They were incredibly patient with me, as I wanted to go with a dark green, and dark green's can be very tricky when it comes to color; you can get them either right, or a thousand ways very wrong! I took a long time to pick out the color, and worked with HDP as my trusted 'advisers'. Kelly (owner) dropped off color samples from various paint vendors, which was above and beyond the call of duty, in my opinion. They were very patient and worked with my schedule to get a good day to kick off the paint job. When they arrived it was like the U.S. Army landed. They took control and started to work immediately. Marcos, the job foreman, was incredibly attentive and we went over all the 'scoped' items for the task at hand. They finished my entire exterior in one day, and that included painting brick and the front porch of the house with a deck type concrete paint. The results came out fantastic! I was so happy I got it right (the color) and I was so happy I chose House Doctor Painting, they will definitely get my referrals!
