+ -1 moreI hired The Tile & Grout King to repair the grout and was advised by them that the original had NEVER been sealed. When replacing the 3 broken tiles they found that the mortar covered only 10-20% of the surface.I advised Mr. Sunzeri of the repair work that had to be done. He e-mailed me that if I sent him the invoice he would send payment PROMPTLY. That was 3 months ago and payment has not been received. I have sent him e-mails and left phone messages that have all been ignored. This was a 2 1/2 month DISASTER & NIGHTMARE.
Description of Work: I hired HP/High Performance Construction, owned by Ken Sunzeri, to retile my 6' x 6' bathroom. They would demo the old tile & and retile the floors and 1 1/2 of the walls for $7000 including tile. There are 2 steps down into the shower stall. When the floors were being installed the tiles kept cracking and breaking. I called the store where the tile was purchased & was advised that this tile was specified by the manufacturer "FOR WALLS ONLY". I also verified the specifications online.After using the shower for only one (1) month, the grout in 7 of the 8 corners had long cracks along the bottom of the walls & up the corner seams. The grout had also become discolored, turning gray & brown. The tile was squeegeed after every use. Three (3) additional tiles had cracked all the way across.
