Green Planet Remodeling

I called Ozzie to do all the work at our new house because we knew we could trust him to do what he said and to do an excellent job at a fair price. We first selected Ozzie from a group of potential contractors we had vetted as being the most reliable based on the Better Business Bureau reports. This was before we had convenient more comprehensive resources like Angie's list. We started with a complete kitchen remodel with custom cabinets which was $60,000. After that first remodel we knew we had found a contractor we could trust. He did what he said, when he said and he did it right. Ozzie was always reachable by phone/text/email and he was responsive to any questions or concerns that we had. And if problems occurred (remodeling always has surprises) Ozzie saw to it that things were done right and didn't add a penny to our contract price. The only thing that cost more of course was when WE made changes. Over the next few years we ended up remodeling all the bathrooms, putting new wood floors, rewiring the entire house (it had very old cloth insulated wires), a new roof, adding a bathroom including walk in closets. So when we had to move somewhat unexpectedly from our old house we knew exactly who to call. So far almost all of the planned work inside our new house has been done. The last stage is building the guest house. The plans have been drawn up and are being certified by the architect/engineer. We will be getting the permits so we can begin soon. I can update how that goes, but honestly I've already had so much work done by Ozzie that there's no doubt it will all go well. I attached a few photos, but I never seem to take photos after the remodeling. I always take photos during the remodeling, but it's the after photos that show what a space becomes. I'm going to try to find the photos of our old house after remodel photos and upload those.

The work has exceed my expectations. The estimated time building our was shorter then expected, We had great communication during the project with the super visor and the office. The quality of work was outstanding, all inspections were approved right away. The site kept as clean as could be during the project. We were giving information and advise when ever we needed which was great help for us. We felt we save time and money with Ozzie amazing knowledge and experience. Ozzie is an honest person, very professional and it was a pleasure working with him. He made our dream come true and we are very thankful.

Ben, Ozzie and Ludis are incredible to work with. They are extremely responsive, very knowledgeable and take great pride in each project. I can't recommend them enough for remodeling and addition needs.

Good quality work and appreciated their thorough advice. Hard to contact at times and responsiveness needs improvement.

Nir was very responsive and scheduled an appointment the next day, though we had to postpone because of heavy rains. He came out as soon as possible after that, which happened to be a Sunday. There were delays during the project (not unexpected), though it did seem to take a few weeks longer than would otherwise be expected. That being said, the work was great and Nir kept me informed throughout the whole process. He helped me understand my best options for waterproofing so I could make the most informed decisions. Great work!

I had a brief meeting with Erez, he seemed very professional, responsive, friendly and honest.

They crushed up the old cement and poles and hauled it away. They were always on time and replaced the cement stairs, landing and overhang. It was finished about a month ago and has been very secure. These were great people to work with. I have never had such an easy experience. I would highly recommend this crew to others!

Ben was courtious, professional and sincere in his ability to complete the job with my budget. I appreciated his honesty and guidance he provided, even though I didnt contract him to perform the project.

They had to deal with the inspectors from LA city. Nir handled them well. The crew was very professional and answered any questions that I had. I will definitely hire them again for any other work that I need done at my house.

This company is great, they gave me great ideas and very friendly service. They lived up to their word and I'm very happy.

Asked for an estimate, two gentleman (forgot their names) showed up, gave me the 45 minute long sales pitch about how there price will be higher because of the quality, technique, blah blah etc. Waited a week, no estimate. Notified manager online, was told I'd get one 'soon'. Still not response > 24 hours later. Just needed a stucco quote, can't imagine it's that hard as a construction company.

We used Green Planet Remodeling for our window installation. It ended up, well we had to pay for the windows, and I think those were about $14000. It was an apartment house so there were like 30 some windows. Some of the windows they had to get rid of the stucco too and put in larger windows for fire reasons. All the bedroom windows had to be large enough for a fireman to get into them. It was a quite a bit of work they had to do. They charged about twenty two hundred for the labor. It was something we were hoping not to have to do, these construction things, we knew it would be more but that's what they charged for it. One of their people we didn't have a good experience with, didn't do that great of a job. Me and my husband had to paint and the stucco didn't really match to well, and they didn't clean up very well. That was the outside stucco person that he hired, but everybody else was excellent. They had to deal with tenants, also, you know, I had a lot of demands and so forth getting the city permits and all that kind of stuff. We got other estimates but nobody estimated having to do so much work, as taking old windows out and putting new windows in.

He took a lot of time with me in terms of giving me the estimate. However, the estimate wasn't very detailed. It wasn't line itemed. It had a bunch of detailed items covered, but then there was just one big price at the end and I couldn't really see where the money was being allocated. It was just a bunch of stuff and then it just said $53000. Ok that's a lot of money. I want to know like how much was gonna be electrical, and stuff like that.

Nir was honest, punctual, and finished the job in 3 days. It was an easy experience with no surprises and we'll definitely look to them again when we renovate our next home.

It went good. EZ was very professional, great personality, seemed like honest contractor. I thought the price was way too high for not including counter tops, flooring, back splash. Also he wanted me to sign a contract before I picked out my floor, counter tops, back splash. I wouldn't do that. For those reasons I will not be hiring this company.

It was a good exercise - will be reviewing with other companies as well to compare cost analysis

Ben came to the condo twice to discuss the project and was right on time, very professional and listened carefuly to my needs. He spent a lot of time with me, going over every detail and studying the situation carefully. I felt he was qualified and talented-he seems like he can manage a project well as he has a good handle on the big picture. He was very courteous, and took his time.. The only issue for me was my HOA has complicated regulations and I had to sort those out before going forward.Some items were covered by the HOA Nina was exceptionally responsive, polite, courteous and froendly in every contact with her-numerous times. I met with Ben who came to the coop twice and seemed very knowledgeable, professional and willing to please m. He had good ideas, was on time and willing to take all the time necessary to understand what I wanted ,done.

I hired Green Planet Remodeling to remodel my parent’s house. We were looking for General Contractor to remodel 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living room space. They use eco-friendly construction green materials. Our project manager EZ came over and provided us with a free estimate and 3D Design. He showed us his previous jobs, brought with him a lot of different samples and helped us to put all our ideas into the project. We were so excited about our new kitchen and bathrooms. 3D looked fantastic! Also EZ is very professional and he made us feel comfortable and trust his experience from our first meeting. In a few days after our consultation, we received our estimate. The price wasn’t the cheapest, but we decided to start the project with EZ and his team and now we are very happy that we’ve made this decision! We love Green Planet Remodeling has great customer service!

Ben and his team did a great job! I hired them to remodel my office - they installed new floors, painted walls and did some electrical work. Price was extremely reasonable and Ben is very knowledgeable and detail oriented. He was very respectful of my time and my budget. I highly recommend this company! Will hire them again for my next project. Thank you for your business!

Firm was argumentative from start. Insisted on travertine tile when we wanted low-maintenance tile. Bad choice for shower, as we learned, costing $500 per year maintenance to re-seal. They said it would cost nothing to re-seal. As work progressed, everything turned out to be ala carte, (for example, vanities) instead of project inclusive. Original bid of $14K turned into $21K final cost. Jonathan was especially offensive, argumentative and uncooperative. Lacked maturity and over-promised. His older crew brought project to a close at last. Sub-contractors used were uneven, work quality was so-so. Very bad on finish details. Stay away from these folks unless you enjoy arm-wrestling with your vendors.

There were a few snags (any project this size will have them). EZ and his team handled them. Entire team was very friendly and professional. The final product was better than we could have hope for.

We hired Green Planet Remodeling to help us with our house remodeling (built in 1991): 4 bathrooms remodeling, kitchen remodeling, interior painting, wood floor installation, windows and roofing. Jonathan and EZ are talented designers. They are very detail oriented and knowledgeable about the different trades that involved in our project. They answered all questions and were quick to resolve any issues. They made a process easier from start to finish. We are very happy with results!

Everything was excellent. The work done was top quality. Any questions or concerns I had were handled quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend this company.

Overall we had a great experience, but with a few road bumps and frustrations. Our contractor's name was EZ and he was very responsive, patient, & knowledgeable. However, like many contractors, he did not oversee the day-to-day operation of our remodel. Instead we worked with a foreman who will remain nameless. This foreman was not as experienced as EZ and it showed... he made framing mistakes, surprised us with construction decisions we needed to make on the spot, and was a bit lazy with a rough edge (attitude) about him. Thankfully, I caught a lot of the mistakes and went through EZ who always took care of it. The sub-contractors all were nice, worked hard, and did a good job, but I could tell at times they were confused at times by the directions they received from foreman. In the end, the kitchen came out great and EZ always reassured us that it would. We're very happy with the final outcome. Any issues we had (and there are always some when doing construction) EZ fixed and didn't charge us at every turn. I'd recommend this company, but keep an eye on the work/foremen each day.
