The company sent 3 men and one 26-foot truck and assured us that it would be sufficient. The movers were very polite and got the job done but they were exhausted towards the end! It took them 12 hours to do the move. Towards the end, they were so tired that they were just shoving boxes in empty areas, not noticing in which rooms the boxes should be put. They charged $70/hr for the 3 movers. The movers told us that they were paid very little by the company and that they relied on the tips for a living. They asked for $100 tip per person. I don't know if this is the industry norm or not so we paid it. They were very polite and they did do the job. It just felt like it was a lot to tip each person $100, although to their credit, it took them 12 hours to do the job. However, I can't help but to think that if the company had staffed the move properly, it wouldn't have taken 12 hours to being with. Overall, the total price still came out lower than many of its competitors.
