+ -1 moreEven though we didn't use Galvan's for the actual fence work, I was very impressed with the company. The day I called them, Josh Galvan, the owner, came out and gave me a written bid. He answered all my questions and was very helpful. The only reason we didn't use him was his bid was slightly higher than the two others we received. My father and several of his neighbors have used Galvan's and have thought he does quality work.
Description of Work: We had Galvan's Fencing come out to bid on replacing and/or repairing a side yard fence with gate and a side of the backyard fence with gate.

+ -1 moreI had hired Galvan Fencing in 2005 to build a large gate for me. After our side fences blew down in a 2009 windstorm, I called him again for an estimate. His bid was less than I expected, so I hired him to do the work. It was done in a single day, just 2 days later! Also, as there was a slight problem with the old gate, he repaired it free of charge. I highly recommend Galvan Fencing.
Description of Work: Replaced both side fences, hauled away old wood.

Description of Work: We had to replace a 3 ft high retaining wall running the length of our backyard. We got three bids, and this one was the middle price. We were impressed with them right from the bid, they seemed to be the only ones who really understood the scope of the project. They offered to add a new gate to our backyard for an additional $80, which we accepted. They had estimated it would take one day and it actually took a day and half, because they unexpectedly had to replace some posts and needed time for the cement to cure. Still, they only charged the estimate price. Soil and roots were sticking out too far in places where the old wall had sagged and they trimmed all that back to fit. They also built a beautiful new rail for the steps built into one end to bring it up to code, and used top quality pressure-treated redwood. Josh Galvan told us it would last at least as long as he did (30 years or more) and he would come back if there were any problems. We were happy with their service, quality and responsiveness and would hire them again in a heartbeat.
