hardwood floor
+ -1 moreHe works basically by recommendations and he's so packed up. He's excellent. He did a lot of work for us and he's very good. He's has very good attention to details. He came up with some good ideas and he would just keep you in the loop of everything. He's an excellent person to work with. He did what he said he had to get the job done and a couple of times he came on a weekend.
Description of Work: I used Floors By Eugene last September for hardwood flooring installation.

+ -1 moreAll I can say is "wow." Besides being a hard worker, the man is a craftsman. When installing a floor, you find out for sure if your room is square and when you get to the wall, there can be issues of fit that need to be addressed. We elected to have a narrow feature strip (inlay) installed, and the precision required to do that was amazing. When it came time to apply the stain, Eugene applied some small sample strips of increasing darkness for us to consider and approve. He also installed baseboard and crown molding, again with precise angle cuts. You will not go wrong with Eugene. He is easy to work with and wants his customer to be satisfied. You can trust your house to him, confident that the work area will be clean at the end of the day and everything secured. Be sure to get a bid from him. Would I have him back? Without hesitation.
Description of Work: Eugene refinished the hardwood floors in 4 bedrooms and a hallway. When estimating for refinishing where there are existing carpets on top of the hardwood, you don't really know if there is damage to existing wood underneath. Eugene tore out the carpets at the start of the job and we discovered the previous owners had left a huge water stain in 1 of the bedrooms and 1/2 of another room, probably children's bedrooms. He tried to sand the stains away, but we could see there would always be a shadow when the floors were refinished and asked for an estimate to replace the damaged floors. The estimate was very reasonable and the finished product looked fabulous. Just watching Eugene work was fascinating, though I tried to stay out of his way. So efficient and precise, like the surgeon you want to get who has done lots of the operations you are about to have. You could see that he has 17 years of experience. We had him come back and do the dining room, living room and family room.
