Fernandez Brothers Custom Cabinets

The job was to be a 2 day job and take place March 23-24. They didn't show up on March 23 nor did they call to explain why they didn't show up. After numerous calls to the project manager, they showed up at 11am on March 24. The project took 4 days. Here is what went wrong: 1) Demo - was to remove screws and nail scratching pocket door. Project lead didn't tell crew so it didn't get done. 2) Paint cracked above the oven where they used putty to smooth the joint. 3) The counter cabinet door and panels were installed at the wrong height. There was an 1/4 inch gap exposed on the cabinet door. 4) when installing one of the panels, the screw went through the panel surface. It was poorly repaired. 5) Bottom cabinet drawer sides were too small. They made a new drawer but depth was too long. They took all the old drawers and were to match the sizes. 6) During the installation, they mis-drilled the holes for handles, use a dull drill but and sprinted the wood in 16 drawers. 7) Not too impressed with the plywood used. Splinters too easy and required putty to fill pieces that fell out during cutting. They finally came back to fix the issues on 4/17. Took 3 guys the entire day to fix. Not pleased we had to use vacation time to resolve the issues. It was a big issue for the household members too as we had to live out of boxes for several weeks instead of a few days as promised.
