We negotiated the contract with Daryl in the sales dept. The people in the co are quite nice to talk to. They have a huge show room. Jason did the installation. Jason did an excellent job. Installation took more than a week. He used to keep the place clean every day after the work. Over all I am quite satisfied. Over all cost $15,000

Good, friendly, professional. However, they are slow to deliver. The factory was slow.

The installer Conklin Brothers sent out was very thorough in the work he did and the bathrooms look great!

Excellent. NO extra per room charges for moving furniture, per each step, or per square foot of installation that S & G wanted to charge. Got a good sale price on carpet.

We got a quote from another company and Conklin came in with the best price even with a higher quality carpet product.

They were 15 minutes late which put me off. It was just not a good sign for moving forward with the company.

We met the salesman, Bruce and the San Jose showroom to look at Carpet and Tile. He showed us around and listened to what we wanted. He made some great suggestions and convinced us to go with the Luxury Vinyl tiles for the Kitchen. Bruce came to the house, took all of the measurements and a couple days later sent us a quote. He was very responsive to our questions and concerns. We placed an order for the Carpets and Vinyl with him. We set up the work in 3 stages, first two Bedroom Carpets, then the Kitchen Tiles and then the Living Room Carpet. In all, we had 3 teams from Conklin Bros come the house. All of the crews very efficient and really knew what they were doing. The workers were very polite and responsive to all of my questions. One of the workers was a little sharp with my wife, but he did a fantastic job. We selected a diagonal pattern with a boarder for the Kitchen Tiles and they did a super job laying out the design.

Rae Miles Hanson was the design consultant with many years experience in the carpet industry. He expertly .helped me pick the best carpet for my needs . He came out to the house with more samples and arranged to have the installers prepared to remove a very old decomposing foam carpet (a messy job). Jose Lopez the installer and his assistant were prompt, efficient, helpful and pleasant to work with. True gentlemen. Over the years I have had many carpet installations, but this was by far the very easiest and least traumatic. Qould hire this team again.

Support choosing carpet and pad was good. Installation was a huge problem as the installer went rogue. Installer showed up on time. The new carpet felt "lumpy" and squishy in area's. The carpet for the stairs looked messy due to a poor job stretching and tucking the carpet and one seam was done very poorly. We went to Conklin Bros and Craig Nourie agreed to come out and review the installation. Prior to Craig coming out I was putting boxes back in one closet the corner of the carpet came up and showed that the old pad (pink) was still underneath and the new pad (white) had not been installed. We notified Craig about this less new issue. When he came out it became clear that the old pad was in all of the closets and the bathroom. He apologized profusely. He agreed that some of the area's seemed a little strange. We agreed that he would send an "A team" installer next time to lift up the carpet and investigate things and put in new pad where it wasn't installed and to fix the seam. The next day I checked underneath the new pad area's I could access to see how good a job the installer did removing the old stables holding the pad. The limited area I could examine I could not find one staple that had been sheared off. I asked Craig to have his team remove not only the old pad that had not been removed earlier but to also tear up the new pad and do a better job shearing off the staples. He agreed to do this. The "A team installer" (Radio) was very Professional did an excellent job - the carpet in the bedrooms and the landing feel right and look right. After the first installation I was going to have to shave all my doors and after the proper installation only half the doors need shaving and by a much smaller amount. Radio noted he could make the stairs better but not meet my standards. He reviewed this with Craig and they ordered more carpet for the stairs. When the carpet came in he did the stairs and again he operated very professionally and the final installation looked and felt excellent. So in summary - a major bummer and a lot of work on my part and Conklin brothers because the first installation was so poor. The great news is Conklin Brothers accepted that the quality of installation was not proper and spent significant money for extra padding, carpeting and labor to make it right. A very nice surprise to see a company truly backing their product/service. (The scores I gave are an average of the two installations --- An A and an F in Quality equals a C).

The entire process went smooth! The installers are always on time and have all the necessary materials on board. What's even better the materials they used for our properties are made in the USA!

We went into their showroom on a weekend. We had some pictures of what we had in mind. Salesman was friendly and knowledgeable, guided us through various options. We came to an agreement and scheduled work (had to wait a few weeks for materials to come in). Install occurred over a couple of days. There were a couple of issues discovered as they tore up the old floor, but the salesman was quick to contact me, explain the situation and solution, and resolve the situation (one did require a change order for about $330 because the subfloor was not as expected). The floors looks great and we've had no problems so far. After this, I also ended up using them to replace the carpet in our previous house to prepare for sale (not included in above cost). It went smoothly as well.

Things went very well. At the outset, we were told what we could do to reduce the cost (moving furniture, mostly). Installers showed up promptly and worked at a good pace. It was a two-day job. On the second day, they didn't leave until all installation was completed and they had cleaned up.

Robert Overholt was a great pleasure to deal with. He was so responsive and helpful in our selections. We changed our minds several times during the process but Robert was always so patient and accommodating. He is a great communicator. The installation process was just as great. It was so organized, efficient, professional, and most importantly of all, technically flawless. We chose looped wool that does not really stretch. This was laid over the highest quality pad. The resulting installation is smooth, plush, and just gorgeous. With carpeting like this any mistake would be very evident (vs with a cut pile), so we are glad we went with such an experienced team.

Fantastic! Rafael has been with Conklin for 20 yrs. He and his sons know what they are doing and worked so hard they got the entire flooring project done in 3 days (we had allowed for 4 in case of uneven floor in my family room). I chose Conklin after reading all the reviews on Angie's List. They employ all their own installers (most other floor/carpet retailers subcontract out) and Nelson, my salesman, was very helpful in finding out what I was looking for and giving me the pro's and con's of types of flooring and carpet. This kind of expertise was invaluable to me since I was investing a great deal of money in finally getting my floors replaced and wanted to be sure I chose wisely. Nelson came out to my home in Gilroy to carefully measure and did such a great job that at the end of the project, I had only 5 tiles left and a 5x6 piece of carpet -- outstanding! I cannot say enough about Rafael and his sons -- they worked without stopping all 3 days and were meticulous, as well as being such nice people to have in my home. The carpet install was done by Mario and his helper and completed in one day; they also arrived on time, worked very hard and did a beautiful job. Pat, the operations manager, and Nelson both called me as the project was being completed and told me to call them later if I found anything that wasn't satisfactory or if I had any questions. I would highly recommend Conklin Brothers -- their pricing was competitive and I believe in hiring the best -- you may pay slightly more than at the big box stores, but the service & quality work is more than worth it.

Installation went very well. One technician worked on the carpet and one on the kitchen vinyl. Near the end, they both worked on the kitchen vinyl. They had the right tools for the job. They cleaned up afterwards.

That went well. It was very smooth and quick. It was easy and fast.

Robert Overholt came out to measure and was very professional. He gave a competitive price based on other quotes we received. The colors he had were very good. We were very please by the companies overall product.

They are well known in the area for their service and the quality of product they carry. They have awesome sales. They are not the cheapest but they carry a better quality of product. They have carpet sales twice a year and that is when I would use them.

Our interactions with the San Mateo location were completely professional. Our contact was Jerry. We were interested in carpet replacement but were having trouble finding vendor that did tile and carpet work. We were promised one-day complete removal and replacement of carpet with furniture moving and that's what we got. The tile work was handled by a very good subcontractor separately (contacted through Conklin though) and done on two other days. Cost was on the higher side but we feel we got what we paid for.

Very professional job. They explained all kinds of carpets available in the showroom, with their pros and cons. Sales associates were very supportive during making our decision. They gave us a good prices and did flawless installation job.

After giving some info about the color palette and modern style of my bathroom (which I had renovated in recent months, with the flooring being the last item to tackle), the sales manager, Paul, brought over some samples to my condo, which matched my concept exactly. He generated an estimate/work order and we scheduled the work soon thereafter. The installers arrived when scheduled & we worked out the tile pattern. Initially we were going to float a leveling cement over the existing flooring, but the installers noticed that the existing flooring wasn't tightly adhering to the concrete beneath, and said that this might cause problems if they installed new flooring over it. We agreed to rip out the existing vinyl and then put down the leveling cement and then install the new tiles. The installed quality vinyl tiles have the look of dark gray slate and look great. There was a slight increase in the cost caused by our last-minute decision to rip out the existing flooring, but when it comes to home repairs, I'm of the philosophy of doing it right the first time rather than saving a few bucks up front but then having to correct problems down the road. Everything went well dealing with Conklin's sales person and communicating with their main office--seemed prompt and well-organized. Their installers were professional and competent. If I go on to remodel my kitchen in the near future, I'd call them to handle the flooring.

Their salesman was very thorough. He spent a lot of time with us. They were very willing to come out to the house. He talked with us and helped us work things out. He gave us some good advice. We thought that we wanted to put in hardwood in part of the space and he advised us to get carpets through out to maintain a more uniform look. It turned out very nicely. We are using them again already, our air conditioner pan over flowed and water got on some of our carpet and they will be coming out to check it out. It is covered under warranty. Everything has been good, they are willing to stand behind their product and work.
