Compass Home Inspection LLC

Since we were working on a very tight schedule, compass fit our schedule the best. Over the phone, I informed the company that the property's size, separated garage and 2 stories. I doubled checked that the inspection covers the roof. The price is on the high side of all the quotes I got. On the day Brett came, he went over with me what he has inspected so far. He is polite. However, he wouldn't inspect the roof as he says it is 2 stories. He doesn't go into attic as he says it is covered with isolation and he can not see the stepping very well. The furnace gas pipe is disconnected at the furnace so he can't inspect. I ended up finding a roofer to see the 2end story roof and a HVAC person to inspect the furnace. By the way, the HVAC guy just connect the gas to furnace and do an inspection. This causes me extra hassle and $. Brett also told me that the new dryer needs 4 prone and told me that I can not buy a new dryer with 3 prone. I went to Lowes to buy dryer lately and was told that it is not true. Recently, I let 3 faucet running to drain the hot water tank while I went outside to water the plants. To my surprise after I came back in to the home, the downstair bathroom and nearby are flooded as the water are backing out of the toilet. This is a surprise as it should have been checked by Brett. In summary, Brett is polite and went over with me what he found. But for the cost and the work he delivered isn't very good in value. I hope I do not find more surprises as I have not move-in yet. I would give my experience as C+ (Fair, but not good)
