I did not hire this vendor, even though their marketing brochure is stunning and their work looks great. . It took me two tries and them three weeks to get back to me with a quote. When the quote finally came in it was more than twice the cost of any other contractor. I asked for existing rails to be left in place. Other contractors had no problem with that. This vendor quoted me only with rails (and posts) removed and replaced. Completely unnecessary extra cost as the method of holding the glass in place is with hard wood molding.

As a part of our home remodel plan it has always been my wish to install new safer railings for my house as I have young children. The railings that are original to the house are not up to code and have gaps that the kids can fit their bodies through. My husband and I used duct tape to make it safe but it is not the most beautiful solution. I contacted several vendors for the job and got a range of quotes, but because I also wanted the structure to be permitted I had a hard time with some of the contractors I contacted. While Michael does not file permits, he was helpful in giving me all the information that I would need to get the permit myself through the city and very responsive to all my questions. Michael's quote was extremely competitive and he and his associate Miguel were kind and courteous. We had a bit of a delay due to the glass panel not being the correct size after a bit of a wait but Michael had everything expedited so the matter was resolved quickly. My only wish is that Michael’s company also handled stain and sealing but he was clear that they are not a finishing contractor.

I love my new staircase! It looks beautiful and it's exactly what we wanted. Michael and his crew were very polite and extremely professional. They arrived every morning on time, worked quietly and efficiently until early afternoon. They cleaned up every day before leaving. This was extremely important to me because we have a child and an animal. Classical Stairways did a fantastic job. They obviously take a great deal of pride in their work...it shows.

Unlike other companies I contacted, Michael returned my calls very promptly every time. Michael was very helpful, informative, and professional. I wasn't exactly sure what styles I wanted so he gave me some recommendations that came out beautifully. He arrived early on the date of the work and finished early. The workmanship is excellent. I am so pleased with the finished product. I would highly recommend Classical Stairways.

Not what I had expected in terms of professionalism from this company. If they cannot do a job, I expect them to tell me upfront, and not just disappear. I have had much better experience from the other company we ended up hiring.

After talking to 4-5 different companies, we hired Classical Stairways to modernized our staircase. Their price was great. The person who came out to do the job was very nice, punctual and really took pride in his job. The stairs looked great. The job took the 2 days that was quoted.
