Chimney Clean Company

He showed up on time. Laid out tarps. Vacuumed, cleaned, inspected chimney, then dryer duct, wrote up notations, cleaned up his messes, then left.

They were very polite, thorough, clean, and quick.

See services performed. He did a good job.

Great service. He put a cap on my chimney and cleaned it. He also made recommendations on some other issues he saw.

Overall it was excellent. I have been using this company for chimney cleaning for years. This is the first time they did my carpet, and they dis an excellent job.

Both the chimney cleaning and the dryer duct cleaning went smoothly. The service personnel were consistently cheerful, polite and professional. They arrived punctually, immediately began to work, and stuck to it until they were done. They informed me of what they were doing each step of the way, and were really clean.

My experience was pretty bad. I think they were on time. I will not use them again in the future.

Had an opening on same day I called. Phone interaction was terrific - courteous, informative and completed the scheduling while I was on the line. I was called about 4 hours ahead of my appt to let me know they were running ahead of schedule. They rescheduled to an earlier time which was great with me but showed up a half hour earlier. Oh well, better than late. Did a very thorough job. Cleanup was good but not perfect. Was very polite and professional.

He was recommended to our broker to inspect the chimney before we moved in. He was the highest rated of all the different contractors we contacted (across the board. ) We hired him again to return and perform the work he recommended based on his inspection and it was completed on time and with no hassles.

Arrived on time, executed professionally, left environs clean and reassembled. Friendly, answered questions.

I spent $175 on that work. It went very well. They showed up the next day and finished the work that afternoon.

Called for a quote prior to buying the house. After we moved in, I called back, made an appointment and they came out and did the cleaning and general inspection. They verified the items found in the home inspection report and made some simple ecommendations for repairs that I could easily dtake care of. They cleaned the chimney (which has a white mantel and fascia) without and there was NO soot inside the house at all. The whole thing took about 45 minutes from start to finish, ending with a printed report.

Access to the chimney is difficult for my condo unit. The company cleaned the chimney from inside the house. This was no problem. Ron put down tarps before beginning to protect the white carpet and was very tidy, no mess. When he discovered excessive soot build up; he commented to me about the potential fire hazard, showing true concern for my safety. I learned something new. I will be calling them again in a year. Also, what I didn't know is that Chimney Clean cleans air ducts, dryer vents, and carpets. All services that I had been looking to complete. If I had known sooner, I would have hired them to do all of the above, but I had already scheduled other companies.

They were good and did a good job. They were very polite and clean. Their price was about par for this locality. They were very responsive.

Excellent job cleaning inside chimney. He also installed a new chimney cap/spark arrester as he diagnosed that our current one had a very poor design and was contributing to our problem with smoke backing up into our house whenever we made a fire. He was also easy to get in touch with, prompt, very professional and knowledgeable.

The company replaced/rerouted a dryer vent to exit more directly from the laundry room. The prior installation had passed through three walls and under a set of stairs. Consequently, the work included preparing a new hole in the wall of the house to accommodate the new vent and removing the old material and patching the resutling holes. The work was very high quality: the materials and the assembly were much more robust than the old system. They also removed all debris and cleaned up before they left.

They did a great job. They cleaned it, climbed under the house to find the hidden exhaust port, and did a great job. The exhaust was hidden under a deck, so it wasn't easy to find. The dryer works great now that it has a clean vent. I would definitely use them again.

I spent more than expected, but everything made sense. I chose the company based on strong recommendations on Angies list, and their obviously moderate prices for chimney cleaning. The repairs/upgrades made all made very logical sense, and these fireplaces hadn't been looked at in a very long time. I didn't feel he was trying to sell extras...it's just a fact that more was needed than simply a cleaning. And the fireplace has stopped smoking. The technician was very tidy, pleasant, and obviously experienced. He took a small mountain of soot with him, and left none behind.

Technician arrived promptly, was very careful and clean. Provided a full (written) report on the state of our chimney and flu. Instructed me on opening and closing the flu (since this was our first winter in the house, this was most welcome). Advised of cracks that should be filled in outside stucco (no problem for fireplace, but could cause water damage in walls). Suggested how it might be done. They could do it, gave us a very economic estimate--but no pressure. Overall was completely pleased. Will definitely call them again.

They said one chimney was fine and the other one's mortar was breaking down but it wasn't a problem we had to take care of right away. He told us he could come out and replace bricks and mortar or we could buy a reflector. Essentially its a hunk of steel on feet that sits in the back of your chimney and reflects all the heat so the bricks aren't getting all the heat off the fire, the reflector is. So we got the reflector. It wasn't a hard sell and it seemed like a reasonable alternative and I thought it worked out just fine. They were punctual, did the work on time and basically they suggested alternatives to problems with the chimneys. They did have the steel reflector in the back of the truck. We could have looked at some in a magazine but they would have been costly to ship so it was nice they had some with them. It was around $100. They came, inspected and cleaned the whole thing out. He said the other one was fine.

Was contacted right away and came out within the week. Ron was on time, very nice and did a wonderful job.

Excellent service. Ron came to my house and did an excellent job! My dryer is actually drying clothes in a timely manner. I haven't used my chimeny yet but I am positive that it will work fine. Ron even showed me the vents I had on the side that I had no idea were there and I weren't being used.

Dennis arrived on time and had his tyvex shoe covers on and was ready to go. He removed our LOPI insert, performed a thorough inspection of the chimney, flue and damper. He then performed an entire cleaning (our chimney had not been cleaned in years!) of the chimney, firebox and function checked our Lopi insert. He used drop cloths, and masked off the entire fireplace. Upon completion, he suggested we add a chimney cap to reduce the amount of rainwater that would ultimately effect our mortar. I paid for the cap and he installed it on that visit. Dennis then gave us an estimate to treat our flue tile joints with chambertech and install a one-piece stainless steel liner for safety and a better draw. He is was on time, thorough and professional. I will refer him to neighbors and friends without hesitation!

They arrived on time and the inspector was very friendly. He answered my questions and provided additional information to me which is nice because this is my first home. He took his time and did a great job. I felt comfortable that he was thorough. He provided an estimate of recommended repairs while he was there. I felt comfortable that he was knowledgable and experienced in masonry and would definitely call them back to do work on my chimney in the future.
