I have not used a cleaning service or had a housekeeper in over a decade, so I don't have any other points of reference. Here is a summary of my experience. Here's what works great, and what I like about Maidpro: 1. It was easy to set up my first cleaning. I filled out a web form and a person contacted me, asked extensive questions, and provided me a quote. 2. They have an e-mail reminder that automatically goes out a couple of days prior to your cleaning. When we went out of town, it was easy to use that reminder to reschedule. 3. They have an e-mail that goes out after the cleaning to ask about your satisfaction. If you are dissatisfied, someone calls you within a day or so to discuss and problem-solve. 4. They keep your credit card on file so you don't have to remember to leave a check for the housecleaner. 5. My house is cleaned better and more consistently than if I were doing it only myself, and I find myself managing household clutter better knowing that the cleaners are coming. 6. The cleaner who comes is friendly, kind and trustworthy. Here's some of what has been frustrating: 1. The large arrival window of the housecleaner. It's about 4 hours. So I've been in a position of not being able to start prepping dinner because the cleaner is still working very late into the afternoon. 2. Lack of attention to details despite feedback. There is a 49 point checklist that the company guarantees, but multiple items are skimped, omitted or done without attention. For example, moving items on the counter to be sure the entire counter is wiped. Cleaning the blinds in one direction or with the blinds half way up, to note later that the other direction and the other half is left un-cleaned. (blinds are extra, btw). Not wiping the baseboards. We have a towel rack in the bathroom and when we wipe our hands on the towel, dust/dirt tends to collect on that baseboard. This week the microwave was not wiped out inside. Consistently, the mopping is done only in the walking areas, but when I look under the couch or chairs in living room, there is dust and dirt. I have cobwebs forming in the corners of the bathroom and kitchen ceilings. I noticed them and thought, "I'll let the cleaner handle it", but they remain there even after cleaning. When I sent extensive feedback to the office staff following a visit, they confirmed that all of my feedback was very reasonable and that the overlooked/missed tasks should be completed at every cleaning. 3. Lack of clarity on the actual job I am paying for. I alternate every two weeks. One cleaning is a "whole house" for ~$140. The other cleaning is "bathrooms and common areas" for $98. When my cleaner came yesterday, for the smaller cleaning, her understanding was that it was only to include bathrooms and kitchen. But I have a dining room, living, family room and entry/hall as well. I have had conversations with the office staff in the past and when I was setting up the service, so I thought it was all clear and straightforward. It would be nice to have a detailed written agreement, but I do not have one. Even with the "whole house" cleaning, the items in #2 regarding dust under the furniture, skimping, etc, still apply. 4. My recycling is put into the garbage. I have separate cans in the home for trash and recycling, but when the cleaner comes, it all goes into the trash. I have since labeled the cans "Recycling" in big letters, but yesterday it happened again. I am at a bit of a crossroads now. I might decide to try another agency or individual. UPDATE 2/14/15 I requested a walk-through and re-quote, because in follow up communications, it became clear that we were not on the same page with regard to what was supposed to be done in the alternating week cleaning (I had asked for all common areas, and that turned into a "Priority Clean" which only includes kitchen, bath and floors.) We were unable to schedule a mutually agreeable time so they mailed me my house key. They mailed it in a regular envelope, which was tampered with in transit and reached my house without a key inside. This was very irresponsible and I had to re-key my house today for peace of mind.

UPDATE: sadly scheduling has become an issue. If you're ok hanging out all day waiting for them to show up then there won't be a problem. Have tried several time to get a firmer arrival time. Normal window is 4 hours which doesn't seem so bad, but when they show up at the end of that window and then need 2 hours to clean the house - that's 6 hours of the day gone. And because we have pets it means keeping them cooped up the entire time because we never know when the crew will show up. After becoming a regular thought scheduling would be easier to arrange. It hasn't. When they are here they do a good job. But not being able to set up a regular arrival time for a regular customer, just doesn't work for me anymore. Great! Have been using MaidPro for a while now. When I need extra stuff done, cobwebs in skylights, I call in and they let the cleaner know about it. We have pets so the house can get a little furry, and our mastiffs slobber, and the house always looks great afterwards.The only issue has been that I don't speak Spanish. Gina and her team are very responsive whenever there was a concern. Which has ONLY happened when I had to change the dates and a different cleaner came and didn't know some of the specific stuff I want done. I'm picky about how some things are cleaned. Customer service is really good. And the cleaning is consistent, which is very important to me. Have gone through several other companies because they did well in the beginning and then later the attention to detail tapered off.

We're very pleased with the service, much better results and more reliable than the previous service we used (for nearly ten years). I'm really happy I found MaidPro.
Description of Work: MaidPro comes twice a month to clean our two-story nearly 2400 sq. ft. home. One person comes out and she spends about five hours thoroughly cleaning our home. We've used them now for about three months and it's the same wonderful person each time, which is great because she's familiar with the house now. She does a superlative job, following MaidPro's checklist, always quiet (I work from home and am present for cleanings), and the place looks great when she's done.

Contacted the service for setting up cleaning in our house. They were super helpful to give us a quote and also to customize it by room number, bathrooms, kitchen, and so forth. Afterwards they followed up very frequently to check back with us. We ended up not using them in the end as we decided to use someone who did other houses on our street. But if we are back on the market for a cleaning service, we would definitely consider them.

I hired MaidPro after many years of having cleaning ladies. They were able to give me a clear quote based on number of rooms, square footage and flooring type. They charged more for the first cleaning, and now $150 per week for weekly cleanings. They send the same person each time, which is nice. I like their 49-point checklist--it's a reminder for the cleaning person for what needs to get done each week, and introduces some accountability. Also, I really like being a "customer" instead of a "boss". There was a mild snafu when they scheduled the repeat cleaning to start 2 weeks after the initial clean. When I figured this out, I called, left a voice mail, got a call back the next am, and a person came the following day to clean. If I don't like how something is done (which hasn't happened), I can just call or email them, and they will fix it, give feedback, etc. They are licensed, insured. And they also charge my credit card--no more forgetting a check or cash for the cleaning lady on busy mornings while rushing out of the house. They leave a mail-in feedback form at the house, and also send an email for feedback after each cleaning. So far I am very happy with their service, I hope they maintain their high standards!

I went to Angie's List looking for cleaning service for a home rental I had just arranged. I was glad to have the place but it really was in need of a good cleaning. I figured it would be great to have the cleaning done before I actually moved anything in. Campbell MaidPro was nearby and fairly well reviewed here so I contacted them. I should have been aware of a potential problem from the fact that they never answered their business phone on four or five attempts. They ended up replying to an email inquiry two days after I sent it. I arranged for four hours of cleaning and we agreed that I would meet their employee at 10 AM at the house to let them in. I had to leave work to do so, but that was not an issue...until 10:30 rolled around with no sign of anyone. I called the person I had spoken to arrange this and they seemed baffled at first but then quickly stated that the person who was supposed to show had car trouble and couldn't work. Now it would uncharitable to declare that this excuse was a fabrication, but it seemed a bit flimsy to me in a dog-ate-my-homework sort of way. But let's assume that it was absolutely true. Don't you think that a phone call to the person who you know is waiting for you would be in order? She assured me that she would get someone else for later today and said she would call me back in about five minutes. TWO HOURS later I got a call at work telling me that a new crew would be there in about 10-15 minutes. I wanted to tell them to forget it, but I really did want the work done and this was the only opportunity before I had to move in. So I skipped out on the first part of my lunch and went to meet them (fortunately the house is very close to my work). Thirty minutes of waiting later I had to return to work. I was then in a two hour meeting (without the benefit of having eaten lunch by the way). I noticed that during that time I had received some more phone calls. I did not bother to reply. So, I can't testify to the quality of their cleaning, obviously, but their professionalism was sorely lacking in my experience. Now I have to move into a dirty house and arrange for someone else to clean around all my boxes and baggage or else give up my entire weekend to clean myself. Really not happy.

They performed the first service yesterday. When I got home, I just kept saying. "Oh, this is nice" "Oh, they cleaned this too." "Oh, I could get used to this." I love a clean house but don't have time to clean it myself. The house felt clean and I noticed lots of details where I was pleasantly surprised that it was clean. Well worth it!
Description of Work: I chose this company because they were the easiest to deal with. Other companies wanted to come out to my house and look at it to give me a quote. Who has time for that? I have a 1400 sqf townhouse with carpet throughout. They quoted $150 for the first clean and $100 for biweekly cleaning after that. I left $20 tip for the cleaner. There's no notice period if I want to stop the service.

I like the fact that I have the same person every time. I have had time to build up a relationship. There's a level of trust there. I know that the house will get cleaned. If she gets sick, another similarly experienced person will come around. Communication is really key with that type of business. Most of the time, I'm not there when she comes around. It's a very intimate relationship; you want to be able to trust their work. There has to be a personal connection. The company has gone through a lot of management changes. I think they're a little bit expensive.

The service has exceeded my expectations so far. A maid was assigned to clean my home on a recurring basis. Only once did they have to substitute her for somebody different, but the staff informed me prior to sending her and an office manager accompanied her to ensure she followed all of the instructions for my home. I never even noticed any difference. They are always professional and arrive on-time within an arrival window. I can reschedule and cancel without penalty. Their products are environmentally safe and the work my maid does is thorough. She vacuums and dusts under items and furniture and puts everything back in its place. Also, she is very professional, hardworking and friendly.
