Calvin and team arrived early, ripped up my old floor and discovered some issues with the subfloor. I asked him to attempt to work around it and he did better than expected in making things look good. He gave plenty of warnings about possible future issues with the floor. In general he kept me well informed during the whole process. Very professional at a great price!

If I could give Calvin Hoang an A+ rating I would. Calvin Hoang runs a one man operation and he did an exceptional job refinishing and repairing my Kahrs engineered oak floors. I suffered a slow leak in the copper water pipe connected to my refrigerator and by the time I realized it, the floors underneath and in front of the refrigerator was in terrible shape. Compounding this situation was that I only had one small board of the engineered flooring and Kahrs no longer manufactured that product; plus my floor was refinished (very poorly) 10 years ago and I wasn't sure if the floor could even be refinished or fixed. I contacted Calvin Hoang. He promptly returned my calls and scheduled an appointment to look at the floor. Calvin arrived on-time for the appointment. He indicated I could replace the flooring underneath the fridge with a similar product - it wouldn't match, but no one would see it as it would be underneath the fridge. He could make the repairs in the floor that would be visible with my one wood board. In addition, Calvin recommended using an oil based polyurethane finish rather than a water based one as the board would be very thin after sanding. He anticipated that the project would take 5 days. Everything went wonderfully with the project. Calvin was always prompt, kept me informed and cleaned up each day. He is a master at his craft -- there were a couple of problem areas due to the poor job with the first refinish 10 years ago, but Calvin made them barely noticeable. He is meticulous, doesn't rush through the work and does a top-notch job.

Calvin did an amazing job. He is a very hard worker and got everything done in just a few days. He did all the work himself and did a fantastic job. When looking to get our floors done we got estimates from a few companies including Calvin's. We chose Calvin because of all the great reviews he had on yelp and his prices were far below any of the other companies we got estimates from. Calvin was also very flexible with our schedule. Due to limited free space in our house we needed to split the work into 2 stages. We had 1 room done first a few months back and then the last 2 rooms most recently. He was very understanding of our situation and had no problem splitting the job into 2 parts. I highly recommend CH Hardwood Floors. You will not be disappointed.

We hired Calvin to refinish our hardwood floors. The price he charged was fair (lowest of 3 estimates) and did not charge extra for dustless like some other companies do. He was very professional and did an awesome job on the floors!
