Better Water Heaters

Went ok, but could have been better. They didn't respond to email request to schedule the service. Had to call them after waiting about a week. Price for just a flush is high. Also the deal included an estimate for Electric water heater which the technician didn't provide -- had to quiz him to get some details. Water heater is old so he recommended changing it completely. Quoted $1800 for 50G gas water heater, but the website for the same company had a special going for $1200 which he did not mention :(

They did a good job, they were on time, courteous and they finished the job and cleaned up behind themselves.

It went well. We should have contacted Better Water Heaters sooner than we did, rather than get strung along by the first service provider we contacted, who initially promised to get the job done the next day, but then said it could not do that, and then provided a bid that was about $600 more than we end up paying to Better Water Heaters and the City for the building permit.

They flushed the water heater. Were very professional.

It was fine. There were additional charges because he had to replace the element and so I was to call the water heater company so I could be reimbursed from them because he actually did the job for them. He was very nice, very polite and very thorough. At first, he was just going to replace the element but he said that since the original thing was to come out, check it and flush it out, he went ahead and did that. He did above and beyond the call of duty there.

Thing went well and I would use them again if needed.

It appeared to be water leaking from the tank but it turns out to be drain faucet very slowly dripping. Peter was very helpful. He diagnosed the issue and resolved another problem with blocked drain faucet by flushing sediments out of the tank. Very positive experience. Highly recommended.

Excellent. My old water heater location did not meet code and was hooked up to my solar system so was a little complicated. Steve was outstanding, very professional, knew what he was doing and conveyed confidence.

Excellent service. Answered call promptly. Showed up three hours later as promised even on day after christmas. Clean, friendly, professional. Took 90 minutes and no surprises. Price was exactly what was quoted on phone.

The only problem was that the company never contacted me, as I was told it would. I finally had to call them after waiting more than a month. Once the appointment was made, everything went smoothly. The serviceman came when scheduled and completed the job quickly and efficiently.

Never contacted me. They did not respond to my voicemails messages either.

The fellow was great. Lives on the coast. People do make the difference representing a company.

Although our tech, Johnny, was late, everything else went perfectly. Indeed important valves had been omitted when our continuous flow water heater was installed. Johnny fixed everything up and flushed our unit. Neat, careful, friendly, excellent service. Hire Better Water Heaters!

Excellent job by Steve who was prompt and did a great job of installing my tankless water heater. Definitely would hire them again.

Steve called one day earlier to confirm appointment. On the service day, he also called 30 minutes earlier than arrival. He was very professional and did the work as described. He was very knowledgable and answered my questions very well.

The company was more interested in selling a new water heater. After a phone call to his boss, the repair person agreed to flush my older water heater, which is what I wanted to begin with. The repair person was very nice and very efficient. The reason I won't hire again is because I have moved out of the area.

It had been a couple of years since previous flush. I had been under the impression (from previous flushers that came) that flushing should be done every couple of years if not every year, but these guys at Better Water Heaters said that in our case, with the water being not too hard, we didn't need to do it quite so often. Obviously this advice was more in my best interest than theirs. When they were done, we noticed leakage from one of the heaters over the course of the next couple of days. So we called them and they came right back out to fix it. The problem was not due to any mistake they had made in the flushing, but rather it was an already corroded valve that must have suffered its last straw due to the increased flow/pressure during the flushing operation. Anyway, they fixed that, for a reasonable fee, but what I was most happy with here was their prompt and competent response.

Mike was the guy who came. They came quickly efficient cleaned up, took the old water heater away, explained everything did great plumbing work, very neat organized fast, professional.

I never heard from the contractor. If possible I would like to cancel my order.

Better Water Heaters Franz answered the phone immediately and is very positive and easy going on the line at all times. The business has 24 hr services, 7 days per week. Depending on if emergency, but I just needed someone to come out and help me with how to clean out my water filters and systems. I was a little scared to do it myself for fear that I would mess it up. Additionally, aquasana would not tell me a good brand of Oring grease and there are instructions on how to clean out the housings with bleach of sediment and ****, and also make sure water is run thru house, I wanted to make sure I did this right. Making sure I'm running the water thru the lines properly to prevent bacteria buildup, and unplugging the heaters and the microbial heater as well. There is a lot more to it than I expected, so I just wanted to be sure to get it right! They gave me a reasonable price for this basic check and help so I didn't feel like they were gouging me. They came down, showed me the turn off valves, unplugged everything, released pressure of water without spraying it all over (which I certainly would have messed up on). They used the housing tool to release the screwed housing, and let water flow into the bucket! I might have missed that part! They showed me how gross the water filters were!! Ick! Glad I don't have that stuff in me! It was black! I filmed the whole thing, they showed me the direction of the flow. They were very patient with me!! Then I went and washed the housings w bleach, and I forgot I had no water to mix!! So they went outside and got some out of my backyard lines. I put on gloves and discovered I didn't have special long scrubbers for housings!! They had black **** in them so needed to be cleaned. I went ahead and got some old longer bottle brush and was able to reach. I had rubber gloves on that were long on my arms. They helped me to rise the housings since it was awkward. After cleaning and drying everything so not to get bleach on floor potentially, or my clothes. They went back to putting the filters back in, showed me how to do this properly. Oh, and they used the appropriate food grade oring grease on my oring and showed me how much to apply. Screwed everything together, and then we ran the water thru the system to make sure no bleach would be there. They were very polite, nice to me. Thanks Better Water Heaters! Great decision to buy my water heater from you! And to install the filtration system!!
