I called the company over the weekend after seeing a flyer that I received in the mail. I asked about using the coupon enclosed for the upholstery cleaning. The man offered to come out this Monday morning. The technician, Michael, arrived on time with an assistant, but began to argue with my mother that the upholstery was too dirty to just be steam cleaned. She called me at work so he could speak to me. He told me I needed the "deep cleaning" treatment, not listed on flyer, and that I should be cleaning my carpets every six months and furniture at least once a year. Then he told me the deep cleaning would cost not $125 but $380. I told him I did not want to spend 2/3 the amount of money it would cost for new couches to clean my old ones. He then said that I needed the deep cleaning or it would not clean it and the I should not buy new couches because mine were fine, just dirty. I told him not to clean anything then and to just go. He then got flustered and asked about just steaming the furniture. I told him I didn't want to pay for a service that wasn't going to clean the furniture. He said the steaming would help, but the deep clean would be better. I told him to go ahead. That was my mistake. My mother called about 40 minutes later very upset. Apparently, he sprayed hot water all over the room. My wool rug was soaked, the walls were wet, I had puddles on the window sills. The backs of my couches are loose and puckered, the top of the couch still has dust on it, and the furniture still looks dirty, and the main technician was rude to my mother. When I called to complain, I was told that the suction from removing the "steam" pulls on the fabric and it would dry okay. It didn't. I was told that the floors would get wet because that was where the washing occurred. I asked why they don't put down a tarp, he had no response. He told me my rug wasn't soaked, just damp. When I told him it soaked through my socks when I stood on it, he told me it shouldn't have because it wouldn't have gone all the way through the carpet. I rolled the carpet up when I got home from work four hours later, it was still soaked through in several spots even with fans on it all afternoon. Essentially, he told me to write a complaint to Maury. I told him I would do that and more.
Description of Work: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!! I hired them to clean my sofa, loveseat, ottoman, and pillows. The ruined the backs and sides of sofa and loveseat and essentially sprayed hot water on the pieces they were supposed to clean. They also doused the majority of my family room with hot water and only cleaned up because we told them we expected them to.

They said that they were going to do it a certain way and charge a certain amount. In the end, I didn't think they were being thorough. There were no major problems, but it didn't meet my expectations. They weren't cheap.
Description of Work: They cleaned my carpets.

The cleaner spent about ten minutes on each love seat. He was very rough with his wand. After he had left he discovered that a label had been removed (sucked away) and a cushion hold-down strap was missing. He argued that the cushions were pillows and should cost extra. We disagreed and he did the cushions. He would have left the cushions and the love seats still quite wet had we not insisted that he vacuum them again. A seam was torn open - probably from the aggressive style of cleaning. Now it's three days later, and everything is dry. There are wrinkles in the fabric that weren't there before.
Description of Work: They "steam- cleaned" two love seats.
