I was ambivalent about hiring contractors to work on my ADU. After a few years of considerations, I was referred by a really good friend to talk to HDI Construction. So, I set up an appointment to meet with them. When I first met Sam and David, I immediately got a very warm encounter. I then hired them for my ADU remodeling. They are very professional, very easy to work with, timely and most importantly, held my hands through it all. Not only did they care about what you want, they care about the project itself! We worked with Bay Builders on a garage remodel. The original ideas were big, including adding a bathroom, but the end result was that we finished the walls, created a new office space, and freshened up the laundry area. We had storage cabinets on both sides of the existing garage that we wanted to repurpose in the new design. Sam and his crew had great input on what was feasible, and they worked with the city on permits (which also had us adjusting the scope of our project). The crews that came in were great. All of the workers were super polite and easy to talk with. Everyone was safe and the job site was clean at the end of each work day. Chris and his crew spent the most time here, and everyone was safe and the job site was clean at the end of every day. Jose did an awesome job with the electrical. Everyone listened to our ideas and took our input, and had good ideas of their own on what would really work. We would highly recommend Bay Builders.

My wife and I made a decision to work with Sam Siar and his team at Bay Builders to renovate our guest bathroom recently. We couldn’t be happier with the quality, timeliness, professionalism, and thoughtful communication from Sam. This was our first non DIY project due to the amount of detail, construction, and material guidance & expertise required. The process was not only easy but fun and relaxing with this team of experts. We provided the design idea and they drafted different concepts that aligned with our style. Costs were kept at budget and we were impressed with the retro-fitments and craftsmanship. Sam did a terrific job remodeling our bathrooms and kitchen. The job was not straight forward and had some complexities that Sam and his team perfectly took care of them all. The job finished one day before the deadline in 6 weeks, very clean and professional. Sam takes pride in his work and treats every project like his own. He is one of those contractors we need more of in the Bay Area. I highly recommend them and will work them again!

I hired Bay Builders to build a new guest bedrooom, move a wall and doorway and build a new walk-in-pantry. Sam and his team were top notch through every step of the process. We communicated the initial design but Sam had lots of great ideas on how we could improve the flow and save money that we ended up using. The work his team did was excellent. It's obvious that Sam is very detail oriented and holds his team to a high standard of work. The communication throughout the process was very proactive - we always knew what was going on and if timelines were being impacted by materials availability. Even with supply chains being a mess, Sam and his team finished very close to the original schedule by being creative and finding ways to get what they needed. We couldn't be happier with the finished product and will definitely be using Bay Builders for any future remodeling projects.

Contractor Sam and his team did a superb job on a backyard landscaping as well as a kitchen & main bathroom remodel project. We live on a sloped hill and had some rough ideas for the backyard landscaping, but were pleased to get a free quote with multiple options at varying price points that fit our budget and the overall aesthetic of our home. Furthermore, Sam had his crew were out within a day after settling on the design, estimate and timeline; and the quick turnaround ended up being a lifesaver given an upcoming trip we had planned. We ended up contracting with them for our kitchen & main bathroom remodel, which we had put off ever since we moved into our home and were thrilled with how it turned out as well. Sam is a class act through and through and will continue to go with Bay Builders for future home reno work!
