It was great working with Bay Easy Construction. The staff were highly professional, knew exactly what needed to be done and took their time to report the progress daily. The entire work was completed by the date that the contractor, Ofer, and the designer, Rebeca, had promised us. We feel we made the right choice and we highly recommend Bay Easy Construction.
Description of Work: Our house in Newark was old and needed some upgrades. We decided to start with the kitchen and knew that we must update the electric as well. The work included complete kitchen remodel with new cabinets, quartz counter tops, new floor tiles and backsplash, LED recessed lights, and upgrade the plumbing. Also, we had to rewire the whole house as it was not to code. We decided to install a skylight in our master bedroom to add more natural light.
I recently received an email from Ofer asking me to leave a review for this project because he made a move to Northern California from Southern California. Starting his company at a new location prompts him to build a new network of clients. Of course, I gladly agreed because we had such a great relationship and his work done for me was truly remarkable. I mostly interacted with Ofer and one of his trusted interior designers, Irene Cooper, because I didn't need to check up on the project as often and I completely trusted them. Ofer and I have had an ongoing business relationship for many years prior to his move. The prices may not be on the lower end, but they are very fair and reasonable for the quality work and services provided. As I mentioned earlier, the house was very old and was quite run down that it needed major remodeling. I knew it would be costly, but I also knew with Ofer's quality work, the property will further increase in equity value. As an investor, my intent of buying this home was for investment purposes and Ofer made sure to fulfill my desires. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised, because I got to see the house transform into an extremely beautiful and modern home and I ended up receiving multiple offers from buyers the day I put it on the market. Below I have included pictures showing the before and after of the house. The old house picture is first and it progresses with a majority of the new house pictures, because we can all agree that they are more important in capturing our interest.
Description of Work: The provider, Ofer Gabay and his team from Bay Easy Construction, helped me implement major remodeling and expansions to a house I bought back in 2012. The house was built in 1966 and run down in almost all areas of the home. Ofer and Irene Cooper, one of his trusted interior designers, suggested that I not only make major remodeling in all areas of the house including the bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, floors, ceilings but also make expansions to the house including 2 extra bathrooms, 2 extra bedrooms, and a swimming pool. I figured the expansions might be a good idea since there was much unused land to the home, and I thought the house might transform into a grand home that can further increase in equity value. Besides, I trusted their judgment and professional opinion as well. In addition, Ofer added "bonuses" to the overall home including a newly and beautifully designed fence all around all the house, and a modern garden using black bamboo. He also installed a new and large glass sliding door so that we can enjoy the beautiful view of the infinity pool and black bamboo garden from an ideal section of the house. As for miscellaneous factors, Ofer not only took care of all the designs of the house, but he also took care of the engineer and city permits. Some contractors expect the clients to take care of these responsibilities, which may potentially be quite time consuming. Therefore, Ofer really puts your worries at ease and limits all the hard decisions you have to make! I didn't have to do anything beyond paying for the project and I got to enjoy all of his high quality services at very competitive prices!

Our friend referred us to Bay Easy and we couldn't be more delighted with Ofer and his team. Prior to updating the bathrooms, they looked dark and small. Removing the walls changed the look dramatically, now it looks modern and brighter. We tried to do some of the demolition ourselves but Ofer helped clean up our mess to keep up on schedule. The crew were always punctual, polite and professional. Rebecca the designer helped us through the entire process of picking the right materials to make my bathrooms look bright and chic. Now that we have a new HVAC system, we can beat the Patterson heat which is awesome. Ofer and his team are great contractors, I couldn't recommend him and his team highly enough!

I had Bay Easy Construction out for an initial estimate of a larger-scale portion of work. That was great and done very professionally. Once I reduced the scope to a small drywall repair, service turned for the worse per the following: 1. No one showed up for the first scheduled date of repair 2. The second attempt the person showed up. My directions were "Do not move the fixture. Please repair the hole with proper wood backing." The first repair attempt the person moved the fixture, created two new holes in the drywall and did not install wood blocking as requested. The fixture was installed crooked and wobbly. Luckily I caught this half-way through and repeated the repair requests. This resulted in a phone call to Ofer Gaby, owner, and a price increase for repair. 3. Proper wood blocking was finally installed. The worker used 1/2" drywall instead of 5/8" to match the existing drywall. He plastered the area to compensate the thickness difference. However, we have since sanded the area but the plaster job was poor and ripples in the plaster and an offset in wall thickness are evident. Upon observation of the plaster work, I told the worker not to come back. 4. The worker dumped drywall scraps in the toilet despite a waste basket right next to the toilet. I had to dig drywall scraps out of the toilet later. 5. An invoice is needed for the repair. I was informed an invoice for the work would follow shortly. That has not happened yet. Someone was supposed to stop by the house to collect a check. That has also not happened yet. It has been a week since the repair was done.
Description of Work: Bay Easy Construction repaired a hole in the drywall of our bathroom. I requested they repair with wood blocking behind to properly support a wall-mounted toilet paper holder. The wall-mounted toilet paper holder had caused the drywall hole over time as it did not have proper backing.

Response from Bay Easy Construction
We were very shocked when we saw this review as our contractor never even met the customer. Our designer/estimator originally did a consultation with her for various work that consisted of demolition, cement, gate installation, electric, and other minor fixes throughout the home which was estimated at 20k+. She received the estimate, but then contacted us that she just wanted to reinstall some towel and toilet bars that were not installed properly. We usually do not take such small work as we have a minimum, but we were currently doing a job a couple of houses down the same street and one of our employees had no problem with helping her with the minor repairs. We did not create a contract as usual and wanted the customer to deal and pay the worker directly. Sadly, all the pictures posted were of incomplete work, from the first installation with the screws, to the photo of the plastered wall, and the dust in the toilet. In the estimate we clearly put that the employee would reinstall the bars using special mounts so that it would not happen again. Before our employee was able to finish the installation this way, she had told him that she did not want this installation and wanted us to use blocking to reinforce the area. This would increase the work price yet our employee only charged $100 and did as she requested and installed the blocking, covered the area with a new piece of drywall and then plastered it. Once plastered he explained to the customer that he would need to let it dry and would return the following day to sand, paint, and clean up. She explained that she could finish the work by painting herself because she liked to paint. Our employees are professional and we are 100% sure that if the customer would have allowed him to finish she would have gotten the results asexpected. Unfortunately he was not given this opportunity. We did not know this customer was unsatisfied. We had asked her to pay the worker directly since this was just our employee trying to help and had asked only for $100, which covered directly the labor and material. We did not try to raise the price, but what we had estimated for the work was just installation of one bar with special screws, which we had said would only be $60. Once our employee informed us that she wanted blocking we had to take in consideration the material that had to be purchased. We had asked her to pay him directly as it literally covered just his expenses, but she did not want to pay him and wanted an invoice for the job. We told her we would provide one to her as soon as possible, which we did. If we would have known she was unsatisfied we would have never had her pay the $100 and our contractor would have personally went to fix the situation. Unfortunately we now understand that trying to help this customer was a mistake.
Here are the 5 big reasons why one should choose Bay Easy Construction - Ofer Gabay, their owner is a problem solver. He was able to bend down to the numerous demands of the City inspectors and ensure our project was running with minimal impact to the budget. My wife and I have busy schedules and Ofer would coordinate with the city officials to ensure we passed all the 22 inspections. - Bay Easy has quality professionals working for him. We worked with Aldo, one of their foremen who is very skilled and did a quality job with the addition. The workers were very friendly and respected our space and paid heed to things we told them not to do on the property. - The company was very receptive of our requests and paused or changed direction to meet our demands - Payment was very clearly laid out and was taken in stages upon completion of a phase. - They’re a motivated company that wants your business. I put this in because we interviewed 5 companies that were rated very well and Bay Easy was not only the most attractive in terms of price but they were also the most keen on getting our business.
Description of Work: Addition of 400 sq.ft. Remodel of existing garage to 2 rooms. One extra bathroom. Remodel of existing kitchen and bathroom.
Firstly, choosing a construction company is not easy, we interviewed about five local contractors. We ended up with Bay Easy construction who happened to be from out of the area. They came on time, gave us full undivided attention, and answered all of mine and my husbands questions. We enjoyed talking with the crew and knew then it was them who we would do business with. The project was completed within two weeks as promised and the outcome we are very happy with the finished results thanks to them :)

Recvd a quote for $26,500 I caution women not to hire them, whole encounter seemed shady. I question Angie's list for rating them with a star. Perhaps their friends were part of the reviews.
Description of Work: Came over, looked at kitchen, was not friendly, did not discuss anything except I got the strong feeling it was due to me being a woman. The job s a very very small kitchen, simply to replace what is existing. He mentioned knocking out a wall, doing expansion and I said just wanted to leave it. Asked if I wanted to use permits which I said yes. from that point on he seemed to try and discourage me from permits saying the city would require electrical changes etc. It felt like a waste of my time and he did not seem honest. I was told in spite of the plan being the same I would need to hire his designer for $400 to draw my kitchen for the city!

Response from Bay Easy Construction
We are saddened to hear that this customer was not happy with her consultation. We really appreciate our customers allowing us into their homes to give them their free consultation and help them with not only their construction, but also their design needs. Our general contractor truly loves his job and lives to help our clients with their remodels. Aaliyah, one of our project managers, was along with our general contractor at this consultation and met with the customer at her home when her husband and child were there too. Aaliyah called and spoke to this customer right before sending the estimate. The customer seemed happy at the time and nothing was mentioned about this situation. We wish she would have brought it up at that point as we would have did whatever possible then to make things better. Two days after sending the price was when we received this review. Our general contractor takes his time to assess the work quietly when on these consultations to make sure he can supply our customers with the best solutions for their work and so our estimates reflect exactly what is wanted by the customer. In this case the assessed work was not only kitchen remodeling, but also plumbing and electric update as needed and installation of flooring with baseboards in the kitchen and also in other areas of that level. Unfortunately we feel our process was misunderstood and we are sorry for that. As construction professionals it is our job to point out things our customers might not be aware of and most likely will become part of the scope of work like plumbing and electric(due to inspections). We cannot do partial work especially in older homes. For example, if we are working in a kitchen and the electric is not to code, the inspector will ask of us to update the electric. We would never discourage a customer to pull permits and we will always point out what work is needed or out of date so that customers are aware. It is also our job to know what is needed to pull permits. If plumbing or electric is part of the scope, most cities will want plans for the permit process. We offer design services with plans for a low price that goes directly to the designer to help our customers. If you then sign a contract with us, half of the design fee is reimbursed in most cases. We take pride in providing our customers the best customer service and quality workmanship that we are known for and that is how we have received our plethora of good reviews and A grades from our clients.

When my husband and I adopted a long-haired cat last month and needed to replace the carpeting in our living room and two bedrooms with hardwood flooring to make it easier to clean up when our cat sheds, we immediately thought of Bay Easy Construction! Ofer and his crew did such an amazing job when we hired them last year to add 450 square feet (three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an additional living room) that we could not wait to work with them again on this project. We were really eager to get our new flooring installed as soon as possible, and Ofer was able to fit us into his schedule within the week we called to take a look at our house and give us an estimate. The price was within our budget, so Ofer and his crew were able to start work on our new floors the following week. Bhumi, the designer, helped us pick out a beautiful maple colored wood flooring that makes the older part of our house look more modern and that matches the additional space that was added to the back of our house recently. The entire process went smoothly and quickly, and Ofer, as well as Jessie, the project manager, were always available and responsive when we had questions. We are so happy with how the finished product looks, and we've gotten lots of compliments from friends and family who have visited us and seen our new flooring. We cannot recommend Bay Easy Construction enough! The entire team was very professional, knowledgeable, experienced, and friendly.

Where to begin?! Ofer and his crew were on time even when needing help with the littlest things as in answering my questions. Ofer always kept me updated and worked with on my project. He also left me with some options to play around with until I came up with a final decision. I love my bathroom and kitchen and is the most spent areas of the house especially when entertaining guests. I definitely wanted to open up the space in both rooms and give a luxury feel and that is exactly what I got! Communication was never a problem even when I had guests over the workers were respectable and considerate. Everything was done in a timely matter and will for sure recommend Bay Easy Construction and will use in the future!

The people who came to the house were nice enough but the resulting design was very basic and not of much use. It also showed they did not listen to what we asked for as the design contained elements we said we did not want and did not include ones we asked for. Update: After posting this review, the company contacted me and offered to refund double my money if I would remove my review. Since what happened, happened, I declined the additional money. They did refund my $50 and I have upgraded my scoring based on their contacting me and sending a refund. Since they have done no actual work for me, please rely on other reviews regarding the quality of their work.

It took us some time to figure out when we worked with this customer as it took place in the beginning of 2014. At this time we were running a special for a short period through Angie’s List that included a kitchen render for $49, which we felt was worth it due to meeting potential clients (even though the pay of $49 went straight to Angie’s List). Due to the high demand within the first week, we had to cancel the special. We still finished all renders to the customer’s that we had already met and had Angie’s List to offer full refunds to any customer’s that had already contacted us, but had yet to meet or were not satisfied with the first render. We saw quickly one render was becoming multiple revisions and hours of work. We wish this client would have contacted us in 2014 when this was going on as we would have immediately responded to his concern and also would have had him contact Angie’s List immediately to receive a full refund. Since this has been brought to our attention, we have personally sent the customer the refund of $50 from Bay Easy, but since mailing the check he has yet to respond to any of our messages. We would have loved to help him out at that time and we are saddened that we were not given the chance to fix this situation.

We schedule an appointment with Offer to come out for a quote. We chose Bay Easy because we had met them before when we were organizing some quotes for another project in our home. We were very impressed and so we called them first when we needed more work done. You can find that review on Angie's List. For the quote, Ofer arrived on time with his project manager, Jessie Elquist and two members of his construction team. They were all very courteous, removed their shoes upon entering the house and were very thoughtful in their decisions regarding what would and wouldn't work. They were also very thoughtful to explain what they might possibly encounter once the walls were opened. You never know with these old houses (1929). We eventually discovered, once work was underway, that there were no surprises behind the walls - whew! They quoted 5 days for the project and that's exactly what it took. We had 4 days for the demo, building and finishing work. The final day was scheduled later, to install the closet doors. My husband and I ordered these seperately because we wanted something very specific. We needed the build out of the closet completed before we could determine the exact size to order. Therefore, Offer agree to come back later, once the doors arrived, and paint and install the doors. This part of the job was completed in in 2 parts. First, they picked up the doors and took them away for painting. A couple of days later, they spent the day installing the doors. I should also mention that the installation was done on Christmas Eve. Although it was the day before a major holiday, they took their time and made sure that the doors were hung as perfect as possible. We've now had the closet for 2 months and we are thrilled with the outcome. They did a beautiful job. Everyone at Bay Easy was pleasant to work with. They were all very courteous. Bay Easy will be my first call if I need more construction work done in my home.
Description of Work: Added a bathroom closet by stealing some space from a very deep bedroom closet which was behind one of the bathroom walls. Moved the original bathroom light switch and added an electrical outlet inside the new bathroom closet.

We are overjoyed with the finished product and price. We shopped around and chose Ofer and his team because his bid was lower and made sense and also we felt like he was extremely detail oriented in the initial walkthrough They were able to start right away and finished on schedule. We were living in the home during the final month of work, with our two small girls, and the guys were incredibly professional and friendly. They offered advice on some of the items I chose when I asked and were very patient and made sure things were how we wanted them. I was able to trust them to make things beautiful and functional and take care of things that needed to be done. We did a change order for wainscoting in the breakfast nook and it came out PERFECTLY and makes the space very beautiful and enjoyable. There were some tricky things about the room, such as the irregularities in the slope of the floor and ceiling but they did the trims and leveled the cabinets so well that you can hardly tell. The foreman was named Armando and he was always reachable by phone to answer questions and clarify things. Every guy on the team was very good at his job and really cared that the job was done right and that we were happy. I have to repeat that the most important things to them were that they did a beautiful job and that we were happy. They even hooked up the dishwasher a couple weeks ahead of schedule so I could use it during the construction process, just as a favor to a stay at home mom! They made sure to finish the work in time for my birthday party and they even sent me a birthday fruit arrangement. I would absolutely 100% hire them again and give my unreserved recommendation of this company.
Description of Work: Bay Easy Construction converted a small kitchen and a washroom into a larger single kitchen (tear down to the studs and then full remodel, including filling in/moving windows, removing walls and changing doorways) and also updated the whole home electrical wiring, and added plumbing/electrical to a basement for a laundry room. We have a 1927 craftsman home.

My partner and I had a fantastic experience with Ofer, Jessie and the Bay Easy Construction Team. They helped us select cabinets for our extensive remodel including kitchen, two bathrooms and a laundry room. The quality of the measure up and plan was top notch, helping us catch potential problems that we had previously missed. They made helpful suggestions that we would not have thought of ourselves. The work done by Bay Easy Construction is really high quality and they answered questions every step of the way. I highly recommend this company, and look forward to working with them again in the future!

My husband and I were looking for someone to expand our house, since our family is growing, and we now have three kids and wanted more space. We were looking online at a couple of different contractors when a good friend told us about Bay Easy Construction. Ofer and his crew were amazing from the beginning of the project to the end with getting the permits, complying with codes, and finishing the project only a week after the scheduled finish date. Sometimes when Ofer would come to our house if we were not home and at work, he would call us to give us updates on the work being done to make sure it satisfied and even exceeded our expectations. Jessie, the project manager, would also send us emails to communicate with us regarding any office-related issues. Coming to the end of the project, we needed to change a big existing sliding door, and Armando and the guys took care of it in a total of three days. We were very lucky to have Ofer as our contractor, since he was able to get the new door from his supplier with his connections a day after we needed it. Bhumi, the designer, was very professional and great to work with; she went with me to pick up the materials. Overall, it was great to work with a contractor who has his own guys. We now have the home of our dreams, and we are so happy with the work Bay Easy has done that we created a profile on Angie's List just to write this review just so we can pay it forward by spreading the word about this great company.

Came and saw work and promptly followed up with e-mailed written bid. The work area was blocked by 2 story high hedge, so I validated with Jessie (who submitted the bid) that the bid included cutting down the bush and disposing of the cut branches. Jessie responded that the bid did include this. The bid also said that $1,000 of the cost was for painting the siding once replaced. I countered that I would paint the siding and we agreed on a price of $6,000. The workers came on the first day and cut down enough branches to access the house and left them in the yard. I called Jessie that day and said that I would not be able to do the painting unless the bushes were cut down. She assured me that the bushes would be cut down and removed. She later called back and said that the contractor had never said that the bushes were part of the estimate. There was some additional damage to a part of the house that required replacing some of the wood under the siding. She then said that they would do the additional work and painting instead of cutting down the bush and the price would be $6,500. The original bid was for $7,000. A week later the work was done when I got home from work on Friday but the bush cuttings, some wood and tar paper were still in the yard. On Saturday afternoon I received a call while grocery shopping saying that they were going to come to the house to pick up the final payment. I explained that I was not at home and would call them when I got home. When I got home the owner called again and said that they were coming to pick up the check. I said that the cut bushes and refuse from the work needed to be taken away and he became irate. I had to ask him not to yell at me. He finally said he would take $2,500 now and then I could pay the last $1,000 on Monday when all the refuse had been picked up. He even lowered the cost to $900, "because he wanted a good review on Angie's list." The work supervisor came today, Monday, and cleaned everything up. I paid $1,000, the final payment. The actual work was good and the workers good, but Ofer, the owner is not professional and does not communicate well with his workers or his customers.

Dear Member, We are very sorry that you feel this way. This job took two and a half days to complete in a professional and reliable manner. We pride ourselves in providing good quality service to our customers. Jessie contacted you about any unexpected changes that caused minor delays including the availability of metal brackets and an unexpected discovery of rotten wood, which at the end of the day we decided not to charge you for. After reading this review, we tried to contact you multiple times to find out details about your concern but you refused to speak with any of us. The hundred dollar discount we offered you was a special discount we honor to all Angie’s list members to show our appreciation to have them take time out of there day to leave us a review. We do this because as a Company we are certain and confident in the level of service and quality of work we provide. Unfortunately, on such a quick project communication was difficult. Bay Easy gave me a solid estimate of the time and cost of my deck rebuild project. They were very friendly and professional. The work was done on time and on budget. The quality of the work is excellent and they cleaned up everything when they were done. I am very happy with the results.

I needed my kitchen remodeled and updated. I had a few contractors come in and bid on my project. The appointment with Ofer and his Project Manager Jessie was amazing. They were very professional and were very knowledgeable of the work that needed to be done. There estimate was average price, but I knew I wanted to work with the best. I have no regrets, my project got done in a timely manner and my kitchen looks great! They also installed new lighting in my kitchen for free of charge. I would highly recommend to work with Bay Easy Construction because they have a strong crew, great management and Ofer is very passionate about his work.

We are in the middle of having Bay Easy remodel our bathroom and we are very impressed so far. We received many other quotes from other construction company's in the area and their price was the most reasonable by far. I cannot comment on the quality of the job because it is not finished yet (I will update the review once the job is completed) but the experience so far of getting the quote, the prompt responses we have received, and presence and availability of the project manager, Paul, has been great. We remodeled our kitchen/living room last year and that experience compared to this one has been so much better thus far-I just wish we would have found them sooner but we were unaware of Angie's list at that point.
Description of Work: We are remodeling our en suite 3/4 bathroom: installing new porcelain flooring, new toilet, new vanity, new frameless shower and subway tile.

The basement sink backed up while I was doing laundry on a Friday. I poured a bottle of drain opener in it, waited, washed it down. It still went slowly, but cleared. Did another load, the sink backed up again. Not good. Found a plumber, he came out. He snaked it with two different snakes, couldn't find the clog. The first company's plumber left after he told me that the line might need to be replaced. I received an e-mail later in the day with a proposal to replace the entire line from the house to the city system hookup point. I didn't like that option, since a specific problem had not been identified. I decided I needed a second opinion. I called another company. They said the first appointment available was two weeks out. Fair enough, but still not good. Then I remembered Bay Easy Construction. I called Ofer, who scheduled an appointment for the next day, Saturday, at 1:00 pm. Great! He called me on Saturday morning to confirm our appointment, then called back a little while later to say that he'd be early. He arrived at 11:30, and his plumbing foreman, Carlos, arrived at 12:00. Ofer suggested several improvements to the house's plumbing system, and helped choose an affordable option. Carlos was able to quickly and correctly identify the problem via an inline camera inserted into the sewer line (the first company's plumber didn't do that). It turned out that there was a crack in a fitting from a prior repair, and that the line had settled to the point where the water was not running downhill. Ofer and Carlos scheduled a crew to begin work the next day, a Sunday, at 8:00 am. The crew arrived at 7:50 am on Sunday, and began work. By 12:30 pm, they had dug up the pipe and the damaged fitting, removed and replaced the fitting, filled in the trench, supported a length of the pipe to prevent it from settling again, and cleaned up the job site. This wound up costing about a third of the price that the first company wanted for replacing the entire line, with a lot less disruption of our lives. I will not hesitate to call Bay Easy Construction the next time I need home repairs, As a matter of fact, next time I will remember to call them first. Thank you, Ofer and Carlos!

Several years ago, I had a knockout made within a load bearing wall to help open up the space between my kitchen and living room. The work done by my previous contractor was horrible; he sandwiched three 2x4s together across a 14'+ span (I guess thinking that this would somehow suffice) and covered it up with drywall/texture. Inevitably we discovered the problem as we noticed a slight bow after a few years. I called several contractors from Angie's list, one of which was Bay Easy Construction. I appreciated the follow up with Anna, flexibility in timing to provide a quote and the competitive rate. Ofer repeatedly offered his personal assurance that the job would be done right and it would be done within scope (no hidden charges). During the process, he noticed that the texture within the adjoining kitchen carried some very poor patch marks and wanted to ensure a clean and consistent job in all affected areas, therefore included this within the repair. I felt re-assured seeing his presence on site, not just a random group - his PM Paul was very helpful in explaining the steps within the process and communicating progress. I've had similar hiring/project experiences with other contractors and I've never witnessed a team work so meticulously in prepping - I believe that it's reflective of how and why the work turned out so well in the end. The new beam is in the kitchen was textured and all neighboring walls were painted to match - and it all looks excellent. Would I ever consider Bay Easy Construction for another project - absolutely YES!!
Description of Work: Ofer and his crew replaced a beam in our home that was done improperly by the previous contractor. The job included demo to remove the existing beam, drywall, texturing and paint.

if I would have to describe our experience with East Bay construction, there would not be enough words in this space to say all the good things about them. The owner Ofer gabay and his foreman Paul, and all of his employees went above and beyond of what we expected. We found them to be extremely professional reliable, honest trustworthy and friendly and delivering what they have promised and more. Remodeling is no easy task. However, the attention to detail & personal care given to us, gave us an enormous amount of confidence that are in every need would be met. We interviewed for different contractors and Ofers price was the second but he was willing to respond with A "competitive Bid" to the other estimated we had. Paul his foreman was always happy to answer all questions. Handling all issues and crafts as best as it can be. We knew exactly what we wanted and they easy construction delivered what we imagined. We felt lucky that we were referred to them by a good friend. Ofer always had great ideas he is very passionate about what he's doing and was accommodating and precise from start to finish, we could tell right away of his tremendous experience in the construction industry.we would highly recommend them to any homeowner that would like peace of mind with his project

Ofer was very cooperative in making the decision to perform all of the construction activities outside the house after we expressed our concern for using the interior of the house. Ofer and Paul proceeded to research and select the best quality water proofing material for this type of application. Good workmanship and top quality material was displayed through every step of the project. We expressed our interest in selecting the tile for the new deck. Anna, the interior decorator suggested the tile store to help us make the selection. The project consisted of: Demolition of old deck to the joust level. Removing the old balcony railing and save it to be reused at the end of the job. Nailing new plywood on the joists Installing water proofing material on the plywood using thin set paying careful attention to the area under the patio door. Old flashing was removed except for the portion under the patio door. New flashing was carefully placed near the patio door both under and over the water proofing material. Tile was installed over the water proofing material using thin set with careful attention to sloping the deck. The tiles and grout lines were perfectly laid out and installed. The entire project was done with minimum delays. Bay easy construction did and successfully accomplished everything they promised to do. We were very impressed by the professionalism and the experience of the crew. Everyone that worked on this project was honest, considerate and very friendly. We were so satisfied with the performance that we asked Bay Easy to bid on other work for the house.
Description of Work: My wife and I were shocked to discover a leak in our dining room hardwood floor during a big rain storm few weeks ago. A portion of the first floor dining room ceiling is located under the balcony deck on the second floor. Water was leaking from the area under the patio door leading to the balcony deck, through the ceiling and dripping down on the dining room floor. We rushed to join Angie's list to help us select a contractor. I proceeded to send a brief description of the problem to three selected local contractors and indicated the urgency of this problem. Ofer from Bay Easy Construction contacted us the very next day. I explained the problem to him. He impressed me in how he understood the problem and how he quickly suggested a solution to fix it. He visited the property the next day. He determined the leak was primarily due to improper slope of the balcony deck and immediately submitted a proposal to make the repair. After careful consideration we decided to hire Bay Easy construction. The work scope was to demolish the balcony deck all the way to the joists level. Make the necessary modifications to the slope and then proceed to reconstruct the balcony using new material.
